Really nice site which we booked through the C&CC. Would stay again when breaking up the trip home from Cornwall.

Perfect for visiting Charmouth and Lyme Regis and a Tesco 10 mins away. New shower block coming in 2017 and the park is one of the best we have ever seen on a campsite and is good for small and big kids.

We will be back when passing. Thanks for having us.

Just returned from a fantastic holiday here, pitches are huge and site is set out well and very pretty. Visiting fish and chips van on several days and very reasonable.

Bearing in mind this was leading up to bank holiday did not have to queue at all for showers/toilets. New block being built for 2017. Road noise can be heard from main A35 but only during daytime when you are out and to be honest you get used to it.

Very quiet at night. Dog walk very pretty and illuminated with fairy lights. We decided to extend our holiday there and the staff were extremely helpful and were more than happy for us to stay on our pitch and not move.

We will definitely return in the future. Lyme Regis is beautiful and there is a small Tesco on the High Street, for a bigger shop you can go to Tesco in Axminster which is about 3 miles away. Highly recommend a visit to The Smugglers Inn at Osmington Mills, a lovely circular cliff walk with a cool pint of cider upon your return, and a delicious menu, just mind your head when in the inn as very low beams.

The only concern is that children do ride on the roads on their scooters/bikes etc very fast and unfortunately some seem to have no road sense at all as we were aware of some children on bikes but they decided to go round the small roundabout near the reception the wrong way in the dark and without lights, so we are sure the majority of people are careful but just be extra vigilant.

This is an update to my previous review of last year. As ever, the staff are wonderful, the site is very well maintained, beautiful and the pitches are very spacious.

I was disappointed with the standard of cleaning last year and mentioned the lower wash block was a bit tired and guess what, there are now plans displayed for a new lower block for the 2017 season! This year also there are resident cleaners, and what a difference, the facilities are spotless.

This is a lovely site just a short drive from coast, cliffs, towns with great pubs & restaurants, villages, farm shops etc. Also I must point out there are no silly extra charges for showers, dogs, awnings, visitors cars, old caravans. Or breathing!

My husband and I spent 17 days at this site from 22nd August until 8th September 2015.

The site was very clean and tidy and well laid out using small trees and hedges to split the site into sections rather than one big site. The site was just off A35 and was accessible to Bridport, West Bay, Lyme Regis, Charmouth, Seaton, Weymouth.

All facilities on site excellent - toilets and showers, waste disposal best we have seen.

Plenty of space in the middle for children to play as caravans, tents etc where on perimeters of sections and each area was numbered.

A fish and chip van came on site on Saturdays value for money and freshly cooked to order.

Beautiful pub on the roundabout going towards West Bay, the Crown Inn - excellent meals, good menu and reasonably priced.

The only downfall was it rained for four days and ground very soggy, but staff fame and put chipping down.

We would definitely come back again

This is a very pretty site with large pitches & a lot of effort made with landscaping. The staff are friendly & helpful although the shop is only open 9 - 5 which I find odd as many customers are up & about hours before that.

The two shower & loo blocks are a bit of a hike from some pitches, I used the car! it must be difficult if you have young children.

The lower block needs a revamp, breeze block walls showing damp, drains bit smelly, broken loo seat.

The main block is better but so busy, for over 150 pitches, not enough showers overall.

They would benefit from 'in house' cleaners rather than contract.

That said, its a fantastic site, great location, so close to Lyme Regis, Charmouth, Beer & so many other lovely places.

Shower and bathroom facilities were ok but perhaps could of done with more than 4 toilets and 2 showers in the block, for the amount of people there. It had laundry facilities and a family bathroom. There was a floor mop for the showers but no bacterial bucket to clean it with after each clea. Playground had a new climbing apparatus and a few swings. Washing up/waste/bins sufficient.

Best for lack of noise in the evenings and everyone was considerate (most of the time).

Can be a bit of a trek to the toilet block and washing up facilities depending where you are.

There was a shop for basic stuff which was helpful.

Staff polite and ground staff very helpful. Only gripe we have - the weather was torrential (which is not camp sites fault of course) but severe wind and rain lifted our tent and gazebo off the ground, there was too much damage to stay and no offer to credit us a few days for another time.

Thought this would of been a nice thing to offer and they ignored an email from us afterwards. Email was polite and courteous so baffled as to why they didn't reply!

Had a lovely quiet stay at this site. A very friendly reception on arrival after a long journey. A decent enough range of goods in the shop at reception, some nice local goodies. The site was well laid out with two toilet blocks.

The main toilet block seemed to get quite busy, only used it once, had trouble flushing the loo and the shower queue was long, so we used the bottom block. Although it smelt a bit musty it was clean and the cubicles were huge, plenty of room with shelf, hook and chair. Lovely hot showers.

The site was pretty with lots of shrubs and trees, although along the bottom where we were could have done with nicer planting rather than brambles along the fence. Impressed with the fairy lights along the dog walk at night.
Fish and chip van was there on Saturday and Sunday, we only tried it on first night, had an hour wait but worth it. A different fish and chip van came on a Tuesday but can't comment on that one.

Good range of tourist info in the shop, Lyme Regis can be recommended to visit, top car park only charged £2 for the day and very dog friendly as were lots of places in Dorset.

We were going to try the pub down the road Friday night but arrived to find it was fully booked so definitely need to book that one in advance.

Only grumble was the signage being non existent to the actual campsite entrance, found the road easy enough but overshot the entrance.

What an excellent site. The facilities are excellent, modern and cleaned daily by very friendly cleaners. Everyone who works here is super friendly and cannot do enough to help. The site is beautifully kept. Local walks are plenty and it is generally a beautiful area. The site is only 1 mile away from the X31 bus stop which takes you to all the local towns. All are also walkable through footpaths. I would certainly return to this site, we even extended our stay by a week! Great site.

If I was going to design a campsite and hand pick a team to run and maintain the site. Then it would be just like this one.

Great location, easy to find. The whole site very very well looked after.

Both kids play area great for kids from 2 years upwards. Dog walking area great.

The staff were fantastic, happy all the time and always helpful.

We went as a group of 9 pitches and were welcomed with open arms.

The ground got a lot of rain when we were there but the ground drained quickly, we didn't get wet or flooded in our tent, the ground got a bit muddy where we were walking in and out of the tent but you can't stop that as I haven't learnt to walk without touching the ground yet.

We will be booking next year
