What a lovely site. Had a very warm and friendly welcome by the young male owner who we believe has just taken over in the last year or so. He was very helpful and gave us information about walks and where to eat etc. Beautiful views all around.
Immaculate new toilet and shower block. Grass pitches small but well maintained. We were offered grass or hardstanding. Hardstanding was a clean tarmaced area which was fine as we are always anxious about getting stuck in rain.
If we returned in Summer we would choose grass. Crickfhowell is a lovely town with lovely eating places and independent shops. Our only reluctance to recommend this site is we were worried that it would become so popular that we could not get a pitch here in the future !

First Class. Ideal location on the edge of the town. Plenty of good walks close by; mountain, river, canal.
Great access to good eating places.
Excellent value, and top class facilities. Lovely owners. Nothing too much trouble.
Highly recommended.

Excellent site in a very picturesque setting. Owner was very friendly and couldn't be more helpful. Facilities were always clean. If I had to fault them I would say that there's not much room in the shower cubicle itself but that's just being picky. Showers were 50p but seem to last quite a while and were the most powerful I have ever used.
Definitely recommend the walk up Table Mountain for exceptional all round views.
This site really is a little gem with very nice owners.
Lovely little town but I wouldn't recommend getting a takeaway from the Wok Experience. We made the mistake of ordering one and it was really awful. The Bridge End pub is 2 minutes walk away and has a nice garden at the side of the river.

Stayed here for one night to finish our holiday. Great welcome from new owner who is working hard to update site and facilities.
Site handy for walking into village for range of places to eat. Good base for walking holiday.

This is a great campsite on the edge of Crickhowell. The grounds are beautifully kept and level and there are plenty of facilities which although not particularly modern are immaculately clean. Wifi is free and there is a good Vodaphone and EE signal for 4G.
Pretty little town with local shops butchers, bakers etc plus some other really interesting shops. Several pubs in fact spoilt for choice. We ate at the Dragon which was excellent pub food. It is a thriving place and there is also a ruined castle.
We have a dog and there are really good walks along the banks of the River Usk and also up to the canal and beyond. The scenery is beautiful. The owner of the site couldn't be more accommodating and we will be returning.

Lovely site and owner, Alex, was very accommodating. Very close to dog friendly pubs serving excellent food and beer. Shower block/toilet basic but OK. Flat pitches well tended lawns.
Have to exercise dogs in park next door and name 'Riverside' tad misleading as cant see river from site. Lots of fab walking around and locals very friendly.

Lovely small site on the edge of a pretty town with fabulous butchers, bakers, independent shops, cafes, dog friendly pubs all within 5 minutes walk of the campsite. You still feel out of the way as you are by the river with views of the hills all around.
Dog walks in abundance as you have access to a river bordered field and stunning circular walks incorporating the river, canal, gentry estates, pubs and local villages.
A row of static caravans take up one side of the site but they are well kept and do not detract from the pretty site.
Toilets and showers are clean and tidy but the only gripe we had was that you had to pay 50p for the shower. At £20 per night it would have been nice to have showers included.
Would we go again-most definitely. It had everything we like in an area and campsite and we wish the new owners well with their endeavours.

What a great site. This is a credit to the owner. Well done. Told not review this site by the regulars as they do not won't it to be full when they book.
Well done mrs price. All the pubs in crickhowell let dogs in, that was great. Short walk to the town.

A one night stay in my motorhome. Just me and my 3 yr old Border Collie. We both loved it. I live only 19 miles away but have never stopped here. This will not be my last time. It was ideal for a dog, with a large open field by an easily accessible river and long walks along the river bank. Also if you cross the bridge, there is a canal as well. It was a lovely hot day on 23rd July and the Bridge End pub was a welcome attraction too. Also, a short walk up into the town where you'll find numerous shops and businesses etc. I read the previous reviews about the site owner but found nothing of the sort. I found her very polite and saw her chatting to many of the people around the site.
