We visit this site regularly as my wife's parents have a tourer which they season-pitch here. It is situated in lovely Crickhowell and is an adult only site. We decided to use the site as a trial run for our new tent over the late spring bank holiday. The weather was not kind to us as it rained continuously for 24 hours. Despite this the tent field did not become too muddy even though cars were being driven over it and foot traffic back and forth to the toilet block. The toilet blocks are always kept clean but the showers are charged at 50p for about 4 minutes. The water however is always lovely and hot and the showers are really powerful. There is no shop on site but Crickhowell itself is a lovely little town and there are some nice shops. Cashell's is always good to buy meat for barbecues and there is a lovely ice cream shop just outside the site. The Vine Tree pub just across the river serves a good Sunday lunch and The Bear is well known locally for fine food. Local attractions include Crickhowell Castle ruins, Sugar Loaf mountain, Abergavenny and Brecon. The site is within the Brecon Beacons National Park and the mountain centre is not far away.

This was a really nice site, with spotless key accessed facilities and perfectly situated for exploring Crickhowell and the riverside walk nearby. BIG PLUS - adults only. What did let it down were the showers, I really do object to paying 50p for a shower on top of £13 to pitch our little van up for the night! I would prefer a single charge with no further costs! Plus there were rather a lot of "Do not do this" signs in red in the toilets, which made me feel slightly like a naughty person in a boot camp under strict rules (behave or else!) but on the whole it was a great site and I will stay again - but please owner if you are reading - stop charging for the showers! Be trusting and understand that most campers - if not all of them - will be sensible and not abuse the facilities.

We found this site last year and loved it. Having 3 dogs its not easy to find sites where we can give them a good run but with the meadow and river next door it was great. There is a super pub opposite which has a beer garden overlooking the river and does good food. We found the toilets and showers clean and did not have to queue to use the showers. The owner was very helpful when we had a problem with the electrics and gave us the number of someone who came out and fixed it the next day. There is also a garage at the entrance of the site who also fixed the exhaust when it fell off. The butchers in the village sold some wonderful meat. We have been 3 times and going again later in the year.

This is a lovely area to visit. The caravan site we felt was ok. When we arrived on a Saturday morning, it was very busy and we felt that the pitches were too close together, and so were on top of each other. We also felt the owner wasn't over friendly. As the weekend came to an end the site became a lot quieter. The site backs onto a nice park, which is ideal for dog walking, and has lovely mountain views. Crickhowell its self is a nice little village and you can easily walk into the village from the site.

GOOD POINTS-The site is located in a beautiful area, the town of Crickhowell is on the doorstep, and is very quaint. The caravan site overlooks a very nice park area, infact you get a key which leads you through a gate and your there. A great space to exercise your dog, and you can take in the mountains as you wander around.
BAD POINTS-The site was quite busy when we arrived, and there is limited spacing between the vans. The toilets are ok,nothing flash-5/10, and you have to pay 50p for a shower, we have been to many sites and have never had to pay this amount, at £15.00 a night I felt that to be a little expensive!and you only get 4 mins!
OVERALL- A great area to visit, and the site is a good base to stay.

We have just returned home after a wonderful few days at this caravan park. This is the 4th time my husband and I have visited with our tent. We have been impressed every time by the cleanliness, well kept pitches and friendly atmosphere. Crickhowell town is on the doorstep with some handy local grocery shops as well as specialist shops. We have found the Bridge End Pub (about 100m away!) particularly good for a great pint and excellent food! We will be returning on numerous occasions I am sure and hoping to share with friends and family a great camping experience!

This was the fourth time I have been to this campsite and will keep returning. The site is immaculate and the owners are friendly. The toilet and shower blocks are heated - plenty of them - and are clean throughout. I love the river, if you go there the right time of year you can see the salmon jumping up the weir. Within easy access of the canal - great for a bike ride up to Talybont on Usk. The owners are quite leniant with the time you leave also we packed up the tent and were able to leave the car on site till later that day.

Had three very pleasant nights at this site. It didn't get too crowded and the toilet block was adequate for the amount of campers. Cleaning of the block was a bit sporadic but as it was Adults only it didn't get quite the ill usage that tends to happen if kids are on site. However the showers were great (50p a shower) and lots and lots of hot water.
Crickhowell and the surrounding area is lovely and the site is situated a walk away from the town and a stone's throw from the River Usk. Owners friendly but not intrusive. It appears a very popular site and probably requires booking for summer weekends and holiday periods. Would visit again.

This was our first visit to Riverside and we will definitely be returning. The site was level and pitches nicely spaced to give ample space between vans. Shower and toilet blocks were spotlessly clean with each resident having their own key to stop 'passers by' using the facilities. Riverside nestles at the bottom of the village between the village and the river. You are literally a few steps away from the shops, restaurants and pubs. If you like walking this site is a must, it lies below Table Mountain giving spectacular views from your unit or tent. The staff were friendly and the site kept well groomed.
This is a gem of a site and ideally situated for exploring the spectacular countryside around.
