My elderly parents just spent a week at this charming quiet site. They had a brilliant time and enjoyed the many walks around the area.

The site is immaculate and well run. Toilets and showers basic but spotlessly clean. The owner was really friendly and helpful. My husband is relatively new to caravanning and she stayed on hand to ensure he was able to reverse onto the pitch without problems and shared a joke or two with us.

The site is very well placed. The village center is a 5min walk away and it has coffee shops, grocers, butchers, bakers, in fact everything you could need!

There are several pubs within walking distance serving great food. All in all, a lovely relaxed and friendly site, we will be returning for sure!

Beautiful location, with nicely cut grass. Lovely and peaceful with no children running around. Dog friendly, which is very welcome - and all dog owners kept their dogs on a lead as requested. Very clean and well tended. I was a little surprised to pay 50p for showers, it's not particularly expensive but a little warning would have been helpful. Also, please give us a hint as to how long the 50p will last, or if the waste tray will fill up and drench the shower block before the shower ends! As for environmental concerns, we felt very uncomfortable putting all our waste in black bins - we recycle where possible and were confused when we were looking for paper/glass/food waste disposal points. We even got shouted at by the proprietress at one point for trying to find a recycling point :-(

Great site with clean toilets and showers. I have stayed here twice in the last two weeks, the first time I was in the main touring field which was perfect. The second time I was in the small field next to the toilet block, horrendous! I was woken continually through the night by the toilet doors squeaking and slamming on their self closers, and the light being switched on and off. Then at around 6am the roofers yard next to the site opens up with the lorry starting up and their dog barking, bliss! I would only go back if I was in the touring field. Great location though, for the town and access to the mountains. Love Crickhowell.

Just returned after a fantastic 4 night stay (again) at this lovely site. Weather was good, as was the company.

Mrs Price keeps this site looking immaculate. It has hard stands as well as grass, and being an adults only site. Peace rules.

The pitch price of £18 per night applies to the whole year, so you are not fleeced during 'Season Highs'.

Loads of lovely walks & bike rides nearby. We also enjoyed a local arts festival, showing throughout the entire village of Crickhowell over the Bank Holiday weekend.

There are lots to enjoy about this site. Would we go back ?. A resounding YES !

Sat in my van on the site as I write this.

I live in the West Midlands and getting here was very straightforward with no narrow lanes. M5, M50, A40, A465 and then the A4077 from Gilwern. Turn right over the bridge and the site is 200 yards on your left in between a couple of businesses.

We had a pleasant welcome from Ruth who pointed out the facilities and gave us a choice of pitches. Site wasn't particularly busy so we were able to spread out a bit.

There are hookups, toilets, showers which cost 50p and last ages, dog friendly but no children which suits me fine.

The site is very quiet, no road noise, just the sound of birds with views of the hills. Plenty of walks from the site of various grades, from river and canal walks too strenuous hill hikes.

There is a fab dog friendly pub on the bridge which is yards away from the site - The Bridge Inn. Very friendly staff, superb beers (Rev James was ace) and they serve delicious food.

Several other dog friendly pubs in the village which we will be frequenting shortly!

Plenty of local independant shops in the village which are less than a 5 min walk away, including 3 butchers!

Will we be back? You bet!

Very busy on arrival at the weekend, but on Sunday everyone started to leave, there are now only 3 touring caravans and motorhomes in another field.

There is only My wife and myself and our two Yorkshire terriers, (Our kids)

This site is situated just outside Crickhowell town and is only a few minutes walk, it is utter bliss and very peaceful being an adults only site. (I do like kids but prefer a break from them)

The owner does not say much but is pleasant and keeps this site immaculate.

The dog walk is a public field just a few yards past the site entrance and you can sit by the bridge and watch the rapids of the river.

Cant comment on the facilities as we are fully self sufficient but they do look good as does the launderette which my wife loves.

Very good TV signal and EE is good too, giving me good fast internet.

All pitches have a dustbin which is emptied regularly and of course the hook up.

My only criticism would be the pitch size being rather tight with an awning erected when busy.

All in all, a very good find and I would recommend it to any one wanting peace and quiet and would definitely return.

Choose this site for camping over Easter mainly because it was adults only. But was pleasantly surprised with the great location. A good range of walks (riverside, hill and canal) all available directly from the site. The town is a short stroll up the hill and has a couple of nice butchers, grocers, bakery, etc.

Perhaps the owner was a little stressed when we arrived given it was good Friday morning and she had a few arrivals, but the welcome wasn't the warmest! That aside, we parked up with our friend beside us and had nice pitches in what seemed to be the motorhome/tent section. Would much rather have been here than in the caravan section which seemed very tightly packed.

Toilet block was fine, a little dated but I actually quite liked the quirkiness of it (apart from the small shower cubicles!), and it was generally always clean.

All-in-all, the location of this site is very good, it's adults only which is great and I'd be happy to return.

Love this site, stayed here many times. So peaceful, quiet and well run, yet so close to the village/town there is no need for an on site shop. Each caravan has its own black waste bin. There are a few statics and seasonal pitches and we always found these very friendly and helpful. We love it so much we have decided on a seasonal pitch for 2015. Recommended site.

Just returned from our 2nd visit to this gem of a site, and we love it.

The Site is easy to find & very well run, with plenty of grass & hard standings, all with EHU.

The toilet & shower block are well presented, with 2 ladies & 2 gents facilities. Showers are 50p, but you get lashings of hot water. There is also a laundry room, plus a free under roof outdoor barbecue area.

It's an adult site, so peace & quiet is the order of the day.

The owner, Mrs. Price, is more than helpful, and is happy to share her local knowledge with you.

There are a few local restaurants offering superb meals, with real ales (we had a beautiful meal in The Dragon) But if you just require a beer or two, then The Bridge End Inn is just at the entrance to the site.

The Town is just a 10 minute walk away, with several shops for the ladies to peruse, plus a local bus service to take you to Abergavenny or Brecon.

Great location for town and had great meal at Bridgend Inn and another pub in the town. The toilets and showers were ok but not sure they were mopped and bins emptied the weekend we were there. Tidy site although I was surprised how close together the pitches were, whereby your car was parked in front of your van, not beside. You could hear conversations of people beside you and from vans behind you! Great location for walking.
