We were led to believe we were booked into the CL part however we were on the pitches opposite so did not get to experience the luxury toilet blocks reserved for those.
We also didn't like the way staff were not very welcoming towards us (maybe because we had young children and a dog).
We were made to feel not very welcome in the on site restaurant which was only open on our arrival day Saturday.
Might be nice for elderly couples but we felt unwelcome.

Beautiful site with modern facilities, perfect for visiting north Norfolk coast. A warm welcome, lovely staff. The bistro serves excellent food and wine. We highly recommend this site and will return.

We had been to this site approx. 15years ago & enjoyed it then, so thought a return was in order. Yes it is down a narrow lane, but due to arrivals not allowed until the afternoon its not really a problem. Being a little way off the main road ensures its very quite. Loo blocks are spotless, staff helpful & price not too high. Only down sides are bar on site only open a few nights a week (hard to understand as we were there at a Bank Holiday week with a full site) & 5mph speed limit not enforced.
Overall an excellent site & wouldn't hesitate to return

The site itself is beautiful. It's open all year and accepts dogs. We found this in desperation when looking for a site with harstanding that takes dogs and open all year. The staff are very friendly and the facilities are immaculate. Unfortunately this site is not suitable if you are in a motorhome as it's down a very long track (which was very wet and muddy when we went). There was only about 1 passing place. It would take ages to walk anywhere from this site so it is only ideal if you have transport. We were there on a Thursday and the club opens Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. I was surprised it opens Wednesday but not Thursday!

It's ages since I stayed at The Old Brick Kilns, but I've just realised you didn't leave a review, and it's definitely worth one of those.
Firstly, this is just one of the most beautiful and well laid out caravan sites I think I know. It's close to Fakenham and the north Norfolk coast, and if you're looking for peace and quiet in stunning surroundings in this area, this site simply has to be on your list.
The pitch I had was hard standing, but surrounded by grass and beside the small fishing pond. All fine and dandy under normal conditions, but my visit co-coincided with serious rainfall.
Of course the caravan was no problem, but the surrounding grass got a bit waterlogged and getting in and out with the car meant it was difficult not to leave tracks. The rest of the site didn't appear to suffer from the over abundance of rain, and my pitch was one of the lowest.
Everything else was perfect. The welcome was warm and helpful, the showers were hot and plentiful and the other facilities were spotless.
All in all I stayed at The Old Brick Kilns for about a month whilst working in Norfolk and it was superb.
I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending The Old Brick Kilns and heaping well deserved praise on the site owners.

Struggling to find exactly what makes this site as exceptional as other people's stars indicate if I'm honest. Yes it's a clean and tidy site, and the toilet block near us was exceptionally clean but there are also a few down points. Maybe it's because our pitch was probably the worst one on the whole site that's put me off, but we were pitched on a corner, with our towbar on the van about a foot away from the road, and my goodness what a noisy road surface! The stones when people drove over them, or even walked on them were so loud, we honestly thought someone was coming into the awning at times. Also not keen on having a large grassed area for kids to play on in the middle of all the pitches, much prefer a play field away from pitches. Early teens having a water bomb fight and screaming at the top of their voices is not for me!having said that, it did go extremely quiet very early on, and was quiet most mornings too. Due to our pitch location, we also had nowhere to sit out either, which was disappointing especially as we had decent weather. No pubs or shops within walking distance, but ideally located for travelling to many nice places, loved Wells. No privacy on any pitches, and some seemed very much on top of each other. Very friendly staff and shop stocking essentials. Didn't eat in the restaurant so can't comment, WiFi didn't work as often as it did work, which is annoying as we paid for it, but is externally hosted so not sites fault but difficult to sort. Probably wouldn't return unless we managed to get one of the caravan club more private better pitches, but may suit other people.

This was our second visit here and we've visited a lot of others between. As a result we were disappointed. We had chosen the adult field as it was school holidays and found the pitches a little tight in this area. Ours was in a corner and we had dog walkers (including children despite the notice) walking very close to the van and had to reverse the car between our awning guys and the hitch of the van also in the corner. Our neighbours set up a table under our window and sat chatting to friends there again because of size of pitch and dog walkers passing in front. Facilities were excellent but didn't see staff to talk to as on other sites. Everything was well maintained and shop sold papers so good. Just size of pitches on our field put us off. Perhaps one less in corner by dog walk and bringing walk out away from vans would help.
Despite long access lane didn't create any problems and lots to do in the area.

Stayed at this site over a weekend for two nights. The site is well maintained and very clean. Onsite bar with restaurant attached, this was a lovely addition as we were able to take our dog into the bar area. Although not very big, the area was plenty big enough.
Facilities were kept clean and tidy. The site was busy with caravans however remained a very peaceful site. The owners were very friendly and answered and questions we had. We will definitely be returning.
As mentioned in earlier reviews the lane is single track, but as we were camping this didn't effect us.

Stayed here for Easter, lovely, peaceful and well maintained site. Fully booked for the Saturday and Sunday nights. Lane down to the site very narrow, hence the no arrivals before 1:30 rule, a few passing places but you wouldn't get 2 units to pass each other. Friendly staff on arrival, small shop in reception, but had the basics and you could order fresh cooked bread and papers from reception. Female toilet facilities were great, plenty of hot water, underfloor heating and plenty of room. Although there were only 3 showers in the main block, we never had to queue and they were always clean. Husband used the main shower block and ended up with a trickle out of the shower, so ended up using the 2nd block from then on, although only 2 showers in here, he also never had to queue. Even had a dog wash area outside, although we don't have a dog, thought this was a great idea. Looked like a good dog walking area too. Didn't try out the restaurant/bar, so unable to comment. As the ground was very wet, they offered to put your unit onto your pitch even though we had a 4x4. Some others didn't bother and got a bit stuck so needed help anyway. Have plenty of recycling bins around and even ask you to recycle your waste water on the plants/trees. Would return again, would like to stay on the CCC CL section they have there.

This is a stunning site with a wide variety of users accommodated. We were on a fully serviced and adults only pitch but all of the areas looked just as nice. Although large, the fact that it appears to be split in to zones makes it much friendlier and smaller. The facilities were immaculate - we used the smaller, very new and modern toilet block, which was always clean.
The restricted access was not a problem as everyone seemed to take notice of the strict departure / arrival cut-off times. We didn't use the bar / restaurant facilities but others said they were happy with it. Despite earlier comments about peace and quiet, we were aware of the nearby road (perhaps the wind was in the wrong direction) and unfortunately for us, local farmers appeared to be making the most of the good weather and started work at about 5am, but that's just a seasonal thing. The other down side was that we were pitched under an oak tree which decided to throw acorns at our caravan all day and night. The trees also meant we were in shadow from about 10am at this time of year, so whilst people on the other side of the field bathed in autumn sunshine, we didn't.
Would we go back - oh yes. Its a lovely site, well managed, beautifully maintained and very well positioned for where we wanted to visit.
