Stayed at The Old Brick Kilns for the second leg of our Norfolk tour!
What a great site, the pitch was generous ( only problem was a small tree in such a position we had to reverse the caravan over some very soggy grass by the pitch to get it on).
Showers were the cleanest and most up to date I have come accross so far.
We decided to extend our stay due to the forecast good weather which wasn't a problem.
My Husband enjoyed the fishing on site ( very reasonably priced I'm told).
Site was pretty full but didn't feel overcrowded.
Giant chess was fun, just a shame a certain group of children were determined to throw it around and a few pieces were broken, but you could still enjoy a game.
All in all a great site, and as a family we will most certainly return
One word of warning. Do adhere to the arrival times as you would not want to meet another car, let alone another outfit head on, up the approach lane!

Lovely clean and well maintained site.
Toilet and shower facilities were fabulous and cleaned regularly. With the added bonus of Radio 2 been played into them all day, and underfloor heating in one block!
Large pitch. The tenting field, although busy, was not cramped and the kids had plenty of room to play ball etc.
Loved the games room, complete with table tennis, pool and a T. V so we could keep up with the Olympics! And my son enjoyed the park.
Nicely stocked shop, with the option to order fresh bread and other items.
This is a great, quiet little site which we would definitely visit again. Just beware of the warerabbits hehehe!

Jubilee Week, very well kept site, toilets and showers very clean although not enough showers for the size of site,
restaurant was a god send as the weather has been very wet and windy not cheap but good quality food,
our pitch was on a slope and we had to pitch the opposite way than requested as this would have put us on two slopes but the slope did help the rain drain away. Ignore the 6m max rule as we have an Outwell Bear Lake 4 (6. 3m) and left our front extension at home but at least 10 other tents a lot larger than us.
Pensthorpe was an excellent day out @ £9. 75 per adult and just a few miles away, Norwich was 35 min drive. Cromer also worth a visit. No pubs within walking distance in the wet.

We stayed here for two nights in early August. Unfortunately the weather was awful with torrential wind and rain but we managed to pitch our Vango Icarus 500 on its first outing.
The site is very nice and spacious with very clean toilet and shower block and never very busy. The washing up was in the same block under cover which was a refreshing change.
The owners were very pleasant and advised us that we could order fresh bread for the next morning.
The pitch itself was on a slope but this did help us with the rain. The pitches although marked out were a reasonable size.
Overall a very pleasant site that we would visit again hopefully with better weather!

Just returned from a week's stay at this site
The location is a perfect base to visit the surrounding area
We went to Wroxham for the day and hired a boat for 3 hours - £17. 50 per hour which is a bit steep but well worth it
Cromer/Sheringham are nice seaside towns and worth a visit
The site itself - stayed on a serviced pitch, grounds very well kept/clean and staff are really helpful
The only thing that lets this site down are the showers. Nowhere near enough for the number of pitches, but more than that - the plumbing needs a complete overhaul as there is zero water pressure. In fact, in the end, we used the shower in our van for the first time in 2 and a half years
For this reason, we personally wouldn't return

Just returned from a week at The Old Brick Kiln and what a fabulous site.
Firstly ideal if you want to visit various attractions in Norfolk but the site is spotlessly clean, the toilets are spotless and warm with the underfloor heating, the shop is well equipped with all your basic needs.
The staff are very pleasant and friendly.
This site is great if you have a dog with two good dog walks. If you have kids there is a play area, games and tv room and if you have space in the car pack there bikes.

We stayed a couple of nights in August 2011, using it as a site seeing base for Cromer and Sandringham. The staff were very friendly, there was a nice little shop the site was clean, had a nice little fishing pond which we never used.
There were other facilities like TV room and kids playground which seemed ok.
My main disappointment was that were only 4 'proper gents toilets' (2 in each block)and in evening with a packed site they were always full and had to wait for one to become vacant. Also kids were spoiling site riding round like lunatics on push bikes, running over and riding over your pitch. Had problem in smaller gents toilet/shower block on second night with shower as water was reduced to a trickle. Why they use gravel on roads/paths as they are so noisy. I would have thought tree bark wood have been better or tarmac.

Although the site was clean & tidy & the pitches were big and quite well laid out. The staff were friendly. But the small wash rooms were awful & the main washrooms were small inside.
The main problem on site is the water. It is full of air which made it impossible for us to use our water system, which spoiled our holiday.
If you are on a super pitch you are unlikely to be able to use the water part of it! A visit to the nearest caravan showroom confirmed there is a problem with the water as they get 10-20 people a month asking about it. Apparently the only solution is to leave your aqua roll to stand after filling for 2-3 hours before filling your system and even this may not work. Unfortunately we were not the only people with water problems.
We will not be returning which is a shame because it is a nice quiet clean site!

Came back from two wonderful weekends here at the start of July. The owners are very friendly and help you always, we have booked another week here in August (and we live in Norfolk!)
They even stored our caravan on site in the week in between the weekends.
It is all round a friendly site and the shower block and toilets are always clean, the site shop is great with fresh breads etc and reasonable prices.
The playground is small but great for the little ones our children love it here and we will use this site again and again!

We loved this site and would definitely return. This part of north Norfolk is very pretty and there is plenty to see and do. Everything needs to be accessed by car as the site is relatively remote, but we were aware of this before we booked, from reading the website info and from reviews here.
The facilities are excellent, even on a busy weekend. We never had to queue and the shower/toilet blocks were spotless. Ditto the washing up area. There is a little 'shed' which always seemed to be open, containing information for visitors on local attractions, restaurants, doctors/dentists etc, and a supply of books to borrow.
The reception shop sold a good range of essentials, including wine, and fresh bread to order. The owners were brisk and business-like when we arrived, and 'processed' us efficiently to our pitch. They were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and obviously work very hard to maintain the high standards.
We had no issues with noise even though the site was busy over the weekend, most people had settled down by 10. 30pm. All our fellow campers seemed very friendly and we all enjoyed the lovely hot weather. We ate one night in the restaurant and the food was freshly cooked, tasty and 'pub' prices.
The only very slight drawback was the spacing on the camping field. You have to pitch your tent in front of the marked tent sign, and although there was still some choice of pitches when we arrived, it was hard to find a level area. We ended up wedging cushions under the airbed so we could sleep level(but that's camping!).
Also I thought the space allocated was tight for a tent plus a car, and we only have a 4 man tent! We didn't dare put up the extension in case that took us over the 6 metres allowed!
As it was, some of the guy lines overlapped with our neighbour's, so I'm guessing we were less than 3m apart. Altogether this didn't stop us having a great time, so much so that we extended our stay by another 2 nights!
