We have just returned from 5 lovely days at this site. Very friendly staff and extremely helpful. Site is well laid out and all amenities are very clean. Did not try the restaurant but everyone leaving it said how lovely the food was. Morrisons is a short distance away, and the dogs loved Holkham Beach. (10 miles away) Wells-next-the-Sea is worth a visit as well as the surrounding villages. The site is very quiet and there are a lot of wild birds to see - they even have a small hut you can sit in and watch birds feeding. Rabbits run freely too. Will definitely be returning as it appears a lot of people do. They have a storage area for your van if you want to leave it there.

Delightful well laid out site with excellent facilities and very friendly hosts. Large site but doesn't feel it. Immaculate washrooms similar standard to 4star hotel. Like other reviewers we liked it from the moment we arrived and will definitely go back. Has adult-only area and dog walk. Being picky knocked one star off for a little noise from nearby B road. Overall very highly recommended.

We have stayed at the Old Brick Kilns on about five previous occasions and the standard is consistently high. Had a lovely stay in May for about 4 days, only wish we could have stayed longer.
The site is beautifully landscaped and well tended. A lake (fishing)in the middle of the site adds to the overall appearance.
Plenty of space around each caravan and excellent facilities with underfloor heating and ample hot water.
There are no shops nearby, but the site has it's own shop and also a very nice little restraint for campers to either eat in or arrange a takeaway. This can be a little bit pricey but means that there is no need to leave the site for a good meal.
The owners are always on site and helpful and always ready with a welcome on arrival.
An extremely well maintained and attractive site. The site also has an adult only area. Highly recommend !

We loved this site the minute we arrived. The approach road is narrow but the strict rule of all departures by 11am and no arrivals until after 1. 30pm means that you know you won't meet another caravan. The owners are extremely welcoming and friendly. The site is immaculate with different areas for adults only, tent field, and caravan club CL area. There is a small fishing lake, games room (pool and ping pong) and an on site restaurant that was open weds, fri, sat and Sunday. The on site shop is well stocked with food items and camping/caravan equipment. You can also order croissants/ fresh bread.
A lovely site well within reach of the coast. 15 mins from the lovely town of Holt and 10 mins from a Morrisons at Fakenham.

We did our booking on-line after looking through the sites home page and agreed it looked clean and tidy, I have to ring as our booking was short notice and I needed to pay the remainder of our bill, to my surprise I was informed that our unit was not suitable for the grass pitch that I had booked but the friendly and polite lady at the end of the phone said no worries and made the necessary changes and put us on a hard standing pitch.
We arrived on a Friday afternoon for a long weekend stay, upon arrival we were greeted by a very friendly polite receptionist.
we were given all the information about the site and had a good chat about where we were being pitched.
After we pitched up we had a stroll around the site as you do, the toilet block was out of this world very clean, warm, in good order, the outside pot washing facilities again was very cleaning and tidy. We had no need for the chemical waste point but as the bins where there again this was well maintained.
The playground, games room where a bonus as we have children.
The main block where the shop, laundry room, bar/restaurant are located was well presented very clean and welcoming, although we did not eat in the restaurant the food looked and smelt wonderful.
This site was very quiet, just what you want for a relaxing break, but not to far from coastal areas, shopping etc.
We will be re-visiting this site

We travelled just about 220 miles ish to reach Norfolk (can't remember actual mileage). First time visit to The Old Brick Kilns, it has to be said that it didn't disappoint, in fact totally the opposite. Tasha and myself had an absolutely fantastic time. The site was well laid out, you were never tripping over others, the grounds were not just clean, they were immaculate (not even a cigarette butt in sight). All the toiletries and amenities were always clean and a pleasure to use. The shop on site albeit quite compact, it has everything you could possibly need in an emergency or just a light meal etc. Fresh bread is available and alcohol in the shop, albeit we didn't use either, it was nice to know. We did however use the shop pretty regularly for an ice cream, fresh milk, bacon, beans and eggs. The campsite seems in the middle of nowhere, when in actual fact you are less than 10 miles at tops from a big ole morrisons. The staff were helpful and then some, the owner even opened the shop up for us on the Saturday night just so we could buy 1 BBQ off them, ours were a little wet from the night before.
The first night, the rain fell in bucket loads, but the land stood up to it well and the ground stayed free of water and just kept draining, reckon we had 2 - 3 inches the first night. It never stopped the overall enjoyment either.
There is also a local cafe that was open at the weekends, possibly midweek too but we left on the tuesday. We stayed in the adults only section and it was lovely and quiet. The only drawback Tasha found was the lack of wifi available in the adults only section (but that was only so we could upload pictures from the holiday onto facebook). It was never a big issue as we didn't really go on holiday to sit and stare at our phones all weekend anyway haha. Our neighbours that were either side of our tent were both friendly and quiet. We asked if they minded if we put up a badminton net, nobody objected. All in all, right up to the very end, it was amazing and Tasha and I intend to return to the Old Brick Kilns in 2014 when we have our shifts sorted. Absolutely magic and thoroughly enjoyed every single second of it. Didn't want to leave either.
Paul & Tasha
P. S. We didn't grade the children section as we don't have children, but I will say that the children that were on site were always occupied and there is plenty of space for playing too. The big chess board kept a few occupied for ages.

A lovely clean and well managed site, the owners work a lot of hours to keep the site in an excellent condition and always willing to help with any problems. We had a few issues with our caravan and they offered advice and even checked up on us to see if we were sorted. My partner, brother and son all enjoyed fishing on the small pond. My parents stayed in the B & B and both said they where made to feel very welcome and thoroughly enjoyed their stay, especially the cooked breakfast in the mornings (unfortunately breakfast only for B & B guests, much to the disgust of my son who wanted to swap places with his grandma so he could have a breakfast)
This is a fantastic site, it is a little out of the way but only a short drive to Croma and Sherringham. There is a VERY long and narrow lane leading into the site, which is why they have strict arriving and departure rules! But well worth the drive to, I would definitely recommend this site.

Lovely clean well looked after site. I like the idea of an adults only area as well as families in case you want to make use of this. Restaurant and bar in case you fancy eating or drinking out anytime. We have stopped at this site now 3 times within the last year and will go again. Visiting places can be a bit of a drive but that does not bother us.
The owners are very polite and helpful.
Nice on site shop
We will return again

We have recently returned from staying at this site and as much as I might like to be able to put others off from visiting this site to prevent it becoming too popular, I can not find fault with this clean, beautiful, well appointed site.
We stayed in the adult only area with beautiful views across the well kept site. Although the site was busy over the bank holiday, we did not find it particularly noisy but did find the other campers very friendly and many said that they were frequent visitors.
We were lucky enough to enjoy good weather while we stayed here but we felt that even if it had been wet, our hard standing pitch would not have been compromised as it seemed to be a well drained area. The pitches were very spacious and we never felt 'hemmed in' as we have done on some other sites.
We found the owners to be helpful and polite, even advising us which pitch offered the most hours of sun in the evenings.
The information shed was a superb facility with lots of ideas and information about days out and even dog friendly beaches in the area.
I would highly recommend treating yourself to some lovely fresh croissants or pain au chocolat at least once during your stay. You need to order them the day before and collect them from the small shop after 8. 30 in the morning. There is also the option to order bread but as we didn't try the bread cannot comment on this. Look out for the fresh free-range eggs in the shop!
The bathrooms were clean, well stocked and always had lovely hot showers at all times of the day.
The dog walk was a definite advantage for us and the majority of owners were responsible and cleared up after their pooches using the provided doggy bins, unfortunately there were the odd one or two who did not.
We were stunned by the variety of birds here. The morning chorus was beautiful and the blackbirds in the evenings were very distinctive. We saw a lot of different finches, blue sandwiches, thrushes, blackbirds, sparrows, robins, swallows and bats during our stay and heard a cuckoo, owls and woodpeckers but did not see them. There were a LOT of rabbits running around the site!
This is a site that we will certainly be staying at again as it was such a great base to explore Norfolk from. We visited the Norfolk Broads, the North Norfolk Railway, Thetford Forest, Cromer, Blakeney and went on a number of walks. Highly recommend the Broads. We hired a boat for 2 hours for £37 and were able to take the dog. Loads of wildfowl to spot, gorgeous scenery and we even saw an otter.
Also really enjoyed the railway with steam and diesel trains.
We were very pleasantly surprised at how dog-friendly this part of the country is, it was fantastic to be able to take the dog everywhere and there were so many other places we wanted to go but just ran out of time so we have a great reason go back and look forward to returning to The Old Brick Kilns in the when we do!

What a great site. It is definitely the best kept site, myself and my husband have been too. It was relatively quiet, (probably due to the time of year), but that was great for the peace and quiet.
The staff were very welcoming and throughout our stay were very hospitable. Always said hello and asked if you were ok.
If you are into any form of wildlife, then stay here. We saw wild rabbits, squirrels, and numerous birds. There is a small bird hide on site.
We stayed on a adult only super pitch, which was hardstanding. It was a generous size. Even though we chose the adult only section, we would have happily stayed on another part of the site, as most pitches are a good size.
The site has a well stocked shop for all your basic needs, and you could order fresh bread, croissants and newspapers for each morning, or just when you would like them.
The on site restaurant is open on Wednesday for fish and chip night, but they do also offer omelettes and sausages if you don't like fish. Its also open on Friday and Saturday nights, offering a good selection of home cooked food, and open on Sunday night for traditional Sunday roasts. We used the restaurant on 3 occasions, (1 Saturday and 2 Wednesdays). We thought the food was fantastic, and the prices pretty reasonable. You do have to book at reception to use the reception.
The toilet and shower facilities were very clean and modern. Although did not use very much, because we used our shower in the caravan.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at The Old Brick Kilns, and would happily recommend to anyone to stay there. We hope to return ourselves next year.
