What a fabulous site! Immaculate facilities and very leafy - reminded us of French sites, with trees separating the pitches and plenty of space.

Our only gripe was the pitch shape which was a challenge for our twin axle van. Took us forty minutes to get anywhere near the service points and TV hook up, not helped by the high wooden kerb around the pitch.

In the end the friendly site manager came to the rescue with his Kabota buggy and manoeuvred the van for us. Once installed, we loved it - really convenient base to explore the coast and a surprisingly good restaurant on site with friendly staff.

We'll definitely be back!

We stayed at this site for 3 nights, over the bank holiday weekend. It was a wonderful site, we are already looking at dates to return.

I have high standards when it comes to facilities and the ones on this site were fantastic! The shower facilities were the best I've ever experienced, with heated floors!

The site has a very relaxed feel. All of the staff are very friendly.

My only bads point are that the ground is very uneven for camping, I kept rolling out of bed at night as there is a definite slope. Also, you can hear the traffic from the main road at night time.

I would definitely recommend staying in one of the 'Adult only' parts if you do not have children.

We have just returned from a week at this lovely site. We were on a super pitch with all facilities inc TV, which gave us excellent reception. We also used the WI-FI via Caravan Connect which worked well. Our pitch was in the 'adults only' area, and was very quiet.

The toilets and showers were very clean and well maintained. There was a small toilet block near our pitch which had two toilets and one shower, and then the main shower block near reception, housing several showers, washbasins in curtained cubicles, toilets and a baby changing area.

There was also an effective hair dryer. We ate in the restaurant one evening, and the food was very good.

The owners of the site were extremely friendly and helpful at all times. As novice caravanners we very much appreciated the assistance and advice they gave us when we required it. The small shop was well stocked and not expensive, and the fresh bread was lovely.

This site certainly gets top marks from me!

Our tent was on super pitch for tents, (take rock pegs and a good groundsheet, although the shingle was not at all difficult to pitch in). Our relatives were in a caravan directly behind us, also on super pitch.

They are extremely spacious, with tv point, electric/water and waste. We had a wonderful welcome from the friendly and efficient hosts. Nothing seemed too much trouble. And you can hire tv leads, hoses, waste water hose, electric leads, etc, for a refundable fee.

Bathrooms and showers are large and immaculate,(piped Radio 2 while you shave, fab!). The shop is extremely well stocked, loads of caravan related supplies if you've forgotten anything, wine, beer, papers, croissants and fresh bread all available.

There is a small launderette, games room with tv, table tennis and pool table, and a small playground with slide and swings, ideal for our small one. The restaurant is also excellent, and good value.

The site is truly peaceful and absolutely immaculate, great plants and flowers abound, with a lovely informative walk around the fishing pond marked by boards and photos of local wildlife, which our small one enjoyed immensely.

The site is divided into several areas, one of which is an adults only field, one a camping field, a small super pitch area for tents with electric, an area for motorhomes, a Caravan Club CL, and super pitches for caravans everywhere, but the screening is so well done you barely notice how many options you have!

Barney is also a brilliant location for the best parts of the North Norfolk coast - you really are close to Wells, Holt, Cromer, Sheringham, etc.

All in all, this has to be one of the best sites we have ever stayed on. Considered keeping it a secret, but these guys work so hard everyone should know! The Old Brick Kilns is what camping should be all about. It has something for everyone. This is the gold standard, thanks so much to the owners, and we can't see us ever going anywhere else when visiting our beloved Norfolk!

We found this site almost by accident, and what a little gem! Clean, tidy, quiet and very pretty too. The toilet and shower block was immaculate. Friendly and informative staff and lots of local information available.

Lovely pond, well fenced for safety, dog walk around perimeter of grounds. Extremely quiet, no road noise. Numerous bird boxes sited in the trees and lots of informative signs depicting various birds to look out for. We didn't use the restaurant facility but were told it was excellent.

Booked for our next visit before we left!

Stayed on a five day break, with very good weather, 2 adults and 2 children 8 & 5.

Our pitch was located on the camping field, which is marked with pegs for each plot. We were happy with our plot, although we missed the evening sunshine, which was a shame but something to consider on a return stay. The field is sloping in places but not as bad as I imagined after reading previous reviews.

Facilities are good overall. There is a modern toilet/shower block around the reception area and a older block up at the top of the site, located within the caravan pitches.

Owners nice and helpful. Everyone on our stay was friendly and would nod or say hello, which was nice and gave a good atmosphere around the place.

Our kids went playing most of the time on site around the playground, which kept them busy.

The setting is really nice, we walked the site each evening. There are some super pitches which are set back from the 'pack' which could either be brilliant for some or a bit too isolated for others.

Would go back again, but will be arriving early to ensure a good pitch on the tent field.

This is truly a lovely site with very good facilities and that are kept to a high standard.

We took our dog with and there was unfortunately no shade in the area we camped in. There is a great dog wash (which we saw on our way out).

When we booked the lady was friendly, however we had a very frosty welcome and were told were to go and what not to do. Some of the sites good facilities was not explained and is not on the detailed map either. Make sure you take cash as this is literally in the middle of nowhere and you have to spend £15 (not the normal £5- 10) to make use of a card. This was not mentioned during booking procedure.

The pitches are hard and stoney. It will serve you well to take extra tent pegs and a mallet.

Although this is a fantastic site, we will not be going back due to the reception we had.

Stayed over a busy bank holiday weekend. The staff were very friendly and more than happy to help, we had forgotten our gas bottle and they lent us one for the cost of the gas. The facilities were very clean and warm, a bit of queue for the showers on the first day but not a long wait. There was a restaurant on site although we never ate in it, it seemed very busy. The shop was well stock. There was a good sized dog run and the site was dog friendly. There was a very good information area with leaflets on walks and things to do in the area. There was an indoor games room that would be great if the weather was bad. We would go back to this site again.

Just come back from my first time camping with a 6 and 4 year old. We all had a fabulous time. The pitches were large and flat and easily marked out. The toilet block is almost next to the tent field (very short walk) and was clean at all time. Free showers and what seemed like unlimited hot water. The receptionist was a little grumpy and dictatorial, but other than that I can't fault the site. We will return.

Site General – A truly beautiful and very quite site. Only let down by the lack of shower blocks

Park Location : The park is located in a beautiful old brick kiln / clay mine approx 5 miles east of Fakenham.

Pitches - The touring pitches are very spacious, very well drained, perfectly maintained, with a large amount of super pitches on site.

Showers / Toilets - Very clean & well maintained……. There are not many showers on site I’m guessing about 6 male + 6 female, the single shower at our end of the site stopped dead every time someone else used a tap or flushed a toilet, that’s if you got to use it !

Restaurant / Bar – Had a few meals here & would not complain, reasonable food at reasonable prices

Shop – Pretty well stocked, including fresh local milk !

TV – TV reception is pretty poor here and satellite can if difficult due to the tree’s but it seem a lot of the pitches have TV outlet sockets !

Internet : did not use it but the site does have an internet room

Eating Out - I would have to recommend “The green man” at Little Snoring NR21 0AY probably the best Indian food I have ever tasted, a proper little hidden gem.

Surrounding area – Fakenham will have pretty much all the supplies you will need, Wells next to sea is probably one of the most beautiful little sea side towns we have on the Norfolk coast or if you want some thing a little bigger Cromer is a good day out
