Stayed as guest in tent for a few days. Dated look of the place, kids playground poor, dreadful entertainment, tents crammed in. No soap in toilets. Showers small. There are good points, large arcade, pub and club drinks reasonable. Morrisons 5 mins away, town centre also 5 mins drive

Just come back from 4 days at this campsite, overall had a nice stay, but the following could be looked at.
1, showers are few and cold, and no soap in the toilets, anywhere including the pub toilets.
2, maybe it was over booked but we were placed in a section which was at the back of the camp, with no electric hook up, what they did was run a four way electric hook up extension and 4 of us in tents shared one power source, which was constantly tripping out, to the point where someone had to sit there resetting it when using a kettle etc
3, only 3 sinks on a 500 pitch site to wash the dishes which the water was cold, mostly
4, people living on the site mingled in with the camping people, and caravans and tents all mingled into one
5, was told by residents not to let kids play in the children's play area due to cats and dogs going in the sand
On a positive side, the bar and entertainment was ok, and the shop was well stocked
Aberystwyth is a nice place with nice castle and beach

We stayed 3 nights at this park and was quite good holiday. Best things are easy and quick assess to sea front and centre of town. Toilets and showers cleaned regularly, indoor 19m pool heated with changing rooms. On site shop but a bit pricey and sell only the basics. Near to ywsth retail park and morisions and large site plenty of room for everyone
Bad bad crossing over brook at back of park, steep hill into park and fits only one car at a time. Entertainment a bit on poor side considering as it is such a large park, arcade machines kept breaking down
Overall good park with good access to surrounding areas would stay again

Did extensive research before our first family camping trip. Wanted a site with facilities for my 4 year old and 2 year old.
This site has extremely clean toilets and showers, which were also hot and open at all times. This was my biggest positive point. We only went to the club once, good entertainment for adults and children alike. The shop was not overpriced and had all you would need (morrisons is just round the corner by the way)The food is very basic and tasted microwave cooked but ok for a quick meal. We cooked in our tent most nights anyway.
The children's play area was a let down, basically it was a mud bath and very old. The pool was good and my children begged me to go there every day.
A good site close to town with good showers/toilets for a family trip. Probably wouldn't return.

Me and jacob are just back from staying here for 3 days. It was a little busy, so we were allocated a spot just behind the static caravans by a tree directly opposite the large skip! :-( the ground was good and we were a very short walk from the river where we did a spot of fishing. Arrival was fine and friendly however, I was a little annoyed that they provided no facility or assistance with allowing me to plug in the air pump to pump up our mattress, I didn't think this would be much to ask, but it seems I was asking for the world! In the end a friendly static owner came to our rescue.
The bar was OK, reasonably priced, the arcade jacob loved and was not too pricey and the entertainment was quite good. Get in early to get a seat though! The play park is a sandpit and a plastic dinosaur slide. That's it! We enjoyed our first day, although found the swearing from some of the kids there very off putting and to top it all the parents said and did nothing. The showers were cleaned often but could do with being a little bigger as you have to almost stand back in the shower to open the door to get out! As stated before there is no soap, which is annoying when you just want to wash your hands having to take shower gel with you everywhere. The cleaners use bleach in such abundance that it made our eyes water and sting! We cut our little holiday short because a large family pitched just behind us and stayed up making an absolute racket till 3am. There was a bit of dog mess here and there and with the large pile of rubbish as our outlook.
We met some nice people and enjoyed taking the bikes down to the seafront for a ride and the weather was OK

Arrived at the site in mid afternoon. Went to the reception and we were given a car pass and told we could pitch anywhere. We chose a pitch in the middle part as it was away from the train line.
Two toilet and shower blocks. Both extremely clean and plenty of hot water. Only downside was you oculdnt make it any cooler. I had a scalding hot shower and my other half said he had a freezing shower but they are free so you cant really complain. There is also a covered washing up area, again with plenty of hot water.
There was a little shop on the site, but like most it was very overpriced. There was a clubhouse and a swimming pool which we didn't use.
Aberystwyth is just down the hill, beautiful place with lots of lovely places to eat. Morisons is about 5mins in the car the other direction. I wouldn't advise walking there if you plan on buying a lot as the hill on the way back is ateep to say the least.
We paid £15 pounds a night, and as we went in june it was stay for 3 pay for 2 so very good value.
All in all a super site which we will stay at again the next time we need to go to Aberystwyth.

This site has many good points and few bad or more niggles that may put some off.
Security here is very high, they have plenty of security camera's and guards on patrol from 6am ish until gone midnight. We once saw him at 2am still on patrol by the toilets, which was reassuring. At weekends they show and escort you to your pitch, but we did notice come the weekend they cramped you in so guidelines were overlapping and cars were bumper to bumper.
They have plenty of clean showers and toilets (2 blocks), cleaned roughly every 2 hours by both male and female staff, they will shout out male cleaning in ladies to warn you, so be forewarned. Showers were unbelieveably hot though. The children couldn't go in them as it was burning them and the baby, well I wouldn't even entertain it, far too hot. They really need to control the temp on them with mixer taps, it's either very hot or very, very hot or can't put your head under hot, no cold tap or mixer in sight to adjust the temp at all. They really need this. Also no soap is provided, which was a tad annoying, we carried hand gel on us to remedy this. The sinks are also in with the showers, separate from the toilets, which was a bit puzzling at first and slightly annoying as you were disturbing people's belongs, changing and some showers leaked which made the floor very wet and slippery.
There were ample laundry machines, £3 for a wash, £1 for 15 minutes of tumble drying. Washing up is a wooden shack in the field where they also have waste disposal and drinking water. The hot water there does not last long, about 3-4 pushes on the tap and they don't supply plugs, so take a bowl or buy a plug, other wise you'll be washing up in freezing cold water. Also I wouldn't pitch near here, as the pipe works were very, very noisy, screeching and howling!
They have a site shop, open roughly 11-12 hours a day 7 days a week, though they are a bit pricey for some things. They don't sell many food items, and their milk was going off daily, well 6 hourly even though our other food was okay in our cooler box with 5 ice packs! The shop also sells many spares for tents and caravans, which was handy. They charge 30p a block for freezing ice packs, a few times the ice packs weren't wholly frozen so we bough pre frozen ones off them for a charge of £2.20.
They have a cafe/take away open 11-12 hours a day 7 days a week, they are bit pricey for what you get though. £4.95 for a tiny chicken curry and rice on their curry night (Sat), child's size in reality. £1.20 for a small chips £1.70 for a large, £2.20 for sausage and chips, £5 for a frozen pizza. Nearly everything served is frozen, prepacked, add water sachets or ding meals, you're best off travelling out of the site for something better.
Amusements, again pricey, but you pay for convenience and keeping the children entertained. They were badly manned and the machines often didn't pay out tickets (kids machines). Bowling was £2 a game per person.
There is a entertainment club on site, as well as a lounge bar, both accepting children. They have a smoking area out side with marque, just by the indoor swimming pool and gym (which were okay). Swimming was a bit off putting as the life guard had 6 of his mates in chatting and gawping at us, instead of concentrating on what he was supposed to be doing.
Children's play area was a joke, it was more a hang out for teenagers to smoke in and mess about out on. There were always a very large amount of teens hanging about being rowdy. I think the site needs to tackle this problem and deter this happening. We felt this site was very poor in this respect for younger children.
The fields have a massive mole problem, I'm sure there is some way the site can prevent, deter or remedy this. The fields looked and seemed level, but soon become bumpy with sinking parts, everyday we had 4-5 new mole hills within yards of our tent.
The cost was a bit OTT for what you really got and could use. £18 per pitch for 2 adults in 1 tent. £4 per extra person over 5 years of age, £4 for an awning/gazebo.
It's very close to Aberystwyth town, which is about a 10 minute walk out of the camp site. Borth Animalarium is good though pricey for what it is, a very small, small holding of a few exotic animals. £26 for 2 adults and 2 children. Arthur's Labyrinth in Corris is well recommended, as too are the craft shops there, we spent hours there, the labyrinth is a must, very good, but wrap up warm and wear a waterproof!
Not too far away in the car you have a Morrisons, Lidl, Iceland, Somerfield, Matalan, Do It All, Halfords, MacDonals, KFC. So plenty of places for food, luxuries and spares and repairs.

As other reviewers have mentioned, a lack of soap in the toilets is a big no-no, especially for a campsite this size.
The site is large and has all facilities. There are free showers, but they are very small cubicles. There are plenty of EHU's and the site is level and drains quickly, apart from a few boggy areas towards the rear where the dog walk / river are.
A very handy place for visiting Aberystwyth as it's not far from the town, although the walk there is up and down hills

Stayed here for 4 nights in early April.
What a really nice site!
We went the week before the 'real season' started so the facilities like the pool / bowling alley / arcades etc weren't yet open. The bar was really pleasant with staff extremely friendly from the outset - In particular Malcolm, who bent over backwards to make sure our stay was a pleasant one! He was also very knowledgeable about the area and gave us sound advice about where and where not to go in and around Aberystwyth.
The site is very spacious - set in pleasant surroundings - the park wasn't particularly big but would be sufficient to keep the smaller kids happy! I would like to point out that I never saw around the entire site so there may have been another park that I missed.
I only saw one shower block which was kept to an extremely high standard, and my only observation was there was no soap by the sinks! My one other concern would be usage in busier times but other than that very good! There is a shop on site which I have to say is very reasonably priced - you can get your essentials such as bread, milk and a paper without feeling you've been robbed! They also have a good range of toys for the kids and plenty of camping spares (which was good as I forgot my bottle spanner for the gas - d'oh!)
The location is excellent as it's on the main coastal road which links you to other places such as New Quay, Cardigan etc. The site is also only 3/4 mile form Aberystwyth town so for the fitter ones amongst you this would take you no more than 10 minutes.Though the site's main drive is quite a steep slope so do bear that in mind!
Overall very impressed with this site and wouldn't hesitate to return!

Wanted a cheap but nice holiday for my family and found this place, rented a fab caravan off a lovely, friendly lady called Mrs Annette Moody. All her vans are of the cleanest and neatest vans we have ever stayed in.(reasonable rental prices too). Lovely beach nearby, going up Constitution Hill is a must for fab views of the beach and surrounding areas. Camp site was lovely and clean with everything you need for a good holiday. The club allows children in at night which was good for us and the bar staff are friendly. (especially the lady who is on at the beginning of the week). Will definitely be hiring another van off Mrs Moody and would recommend her to anybody. Overall a very good site for any type of caravan, tent or renting one on site.
