Very good well run site within easy reach of Preston. The staff were very helpful, the facilities were excellent and a really good dog walking area was available on site. Would certainly visit this site again.

Just spent the weekend here and can honestly say we are glad we did. I wanted to go to Blackpool for the day so wanted a site not too far away from Blackpool, we managed to book thurs night, I explained we would be arriving late (6 - 7 pm) this didn't seem to be a problem was just told to ring the number that I was called on. We arrived on site following another caravaner who said just follow us, so we did however we drove straight passed this site and arrived at the far house ( there is another site at the rear ????) warden explained where to go which we did and then proceeded to show us to the site itself 'take your pick' so we did.
Pitches are massive plenty of room for c/van and car feels very spacious, there are several seasoned pitches but we never felt we were intruding ON THERE SITE ! which we have at others. Toilets were spotless and very well kept whci to be honest as was the whole site. £17 per night I thought was plenty. Really enjoyed out stay we will be back ( blackpool is 28mins away by car)

Nice friendly welcome. Clean, hot showers. Large hard standing, plenty room between pitches for good privacy. Quiet, peaceful and would not hesitate to recommend and will return soon.
Weather was atrocious (gales and heavy rain) but the site is very well drained and has good shelter.
2 pubs close by. Nice walk along canal. Easy driving to Preston and Blackpool.
Details of local shop/provisions would be helpful

Stayed here for 2 nights with my wife and 2 year old son for a quick last minute getaway. We only live about 8 mile away but the beautiful surroundings and peaceful atmosphere made it feel like we were much further away. We arrived on Friday evening and was greeted by the owner who was friendly and gave us all the information needed about the park and showed us to our pitch which was large hardstanding with plenty of space in between the caravans. We couldn't believe how quiet and peaceful the site is, just what we like. The park itself is very well kept and the toilet / shower block was kept very clean and there was plenty of hot water. There is a ball field where the young ones can go and play, and although there was quite a lot of kids there most took themselves off and we didn't here a peep out of them at all. We had a walk down to the saddle pub at the end of the road for a few drinks and some lunch. Since the weather was really nice we sat outside in the large beer garden and let the little one play on the big play area. The food was lovely and reasonably priced. The only thing that bothered us was the odd occasion where once 1 dog started barking then another few would start but by no means would it put us off returning.

Well what a lovely site, you would almost think you were in France, very peaceful. Toilets & showers spotless pot pourri a lovely touch in the toilet area. Pitches big enough to put the awning up. Nice pubs, within walking distance. We have one complaint by one of the neighbours' across from us. We had a small barbecue which had a fire log on to keep warm, the guy came out hands on hips & said the logs we had burning were causing ash to go on his caravan, we couldn't see any sign of this. We didn't let it spoil our stay. The owners of the site were lovely & friendly.

Followed the directions from from the map given by this site, have to say a little confusing but we got there!
The site is in the middle of nowhere and is surrounded by fields with sheep in - lovely and peaceful. Pitches are large hard standing no problems getting pegs in for the awning. However we were right opposite another caravan so felt a little over looked to be honest, so kept front blinds down which was a shame. The facilities are clean and although there are only a couple of loos and couple of showers (ladies) I only waited a few minutes for a shower.
The majority of pitches appear to be seasonal.
There are no shops nearby so make sure you take all your provisions unless your happy to drive a good 10 minutes away. We were given a key ring and a sticker when we arrived I think it would of been more useful to have a little note explaining where the local shop etc are. We ate at both the Windmill and the Saddle, have to say we preferred the Windmill.
The dog walk is not a dog walk just a small strip of land between the pitches and a field of sheep, there is a field next to it with a mowed bit that says ball field which the dogs could have access to as long as no mess was left - I cleaned up two lots obviously left by another dog whose owner thought it was acceptable to leave dog mess on a kids playing field - that type of behaviour gives all dog owners a bad name.
All in all a nice site is nice and friendly

Just got back from yet another visit to this beautiful site! Owners are so helpful and the site is beautifully maintained.
The scenery is wonderful, great views and fields full of sheep and lambs.
The pitches are very well spaced out, flat and there is always a very friendly and relaxing atmosphere.
Have been many times and have 3 more trips booked.
The Saddle pub, (10 minute walk away) is very friendly indeed and serves good food.
Shower/toilet block is lovely, never had to 'queue' yet.
We don't take children, but site is very dog friendly.
Love it!

Lovely tidy site with hard standing pitches. Toilets nice and clean with free showers but in the ladies the hairdryer costs 20p for 2 minutes use which is a bit excessive. Helpful staff. 3 fairly local eateries, The Windmill, The Saddle and Smiths. Of the three we preferred the food at the Windmill. Convenient for visits to Preston, Garstang, Fleetwood and Blackpool. There is a bus timetable in the information room but we used the car so can't comment on frequency etc.

This campsite is really nicely set out. Great pitch sizes, great land, plenty of room for everything. Loads of running about space for the kids too. Shower and toilet block is lovely, very well looked after. Owners are fab, really helpful and remember you when you go back. Good dog walks around the site. One of our favourite sites. There are all kinds of shops about and Blackpool is not far which is why we go every September so we can see the lights turned on. Great site, we have been many times

Well what a lovely site great size pitches, ample room for caravan car and awning, and plenty of room for the children to play in the ball field. Spotlessly clean toilet and shower block, good dish washing area and the pitches are not cramped together. We will return to this lovely site soon. Waste, recycling and elsan at the side of the office. Lovely views across the fields of sheep and fresh eggs available from the office.
