Wonderful site, lovely big hard standing pitches. Factilities are excellent and very clean, the owners are very friendly and nothing seems too much trouble. There is also a small dog walking area. Pitches are £16.00per night. The saddle inn which is10 minutes walk from the site is under new ownership. It has been transformed and previous reviews are dated. We spent two lovely evenings in the inn and we were made to feel very welcome by both owners and locals alike. The food was excellent and I would recommend the gammon. The pub welcomes dogs (not in the restaurant area) and children; there is also an extensive beer garden with play area. We enjoyed our stay so much we've booked in for next weekend

Well what a superb site. To be honest cant fault any aspect of it what so ever. Excellent facilities, lovely location, plenty of space for dogs to run and pitches nice and big and extremely well kept. Owners extremely friendly and helpful. Asda about 10-15 mins away in Preston and a Morrisons in the nearby village of Kirkham about 10 mins away to. Easy access to M55 and M6 for trips out. I will 100% be visiting again next year and every year, excellent site.

This is a beautiful site, very peaceful and the facilities are first class. Improvements have been made for the touring pitches by making the hardstanding pitches even larger this year.
We have visited this site on numerous occasions over the past few years and have never had, or heard, any complaints.
This is one of the few sites that are a reasonable price, less than £20 per night with ehu.
Sharon and OH make your stay an enjoyable one and nothing is too much trouble for them. They are always around to offer advice and assistance if needed, without being intrusive.
There are a couple of pubs within walking distance, although the Saddle Inn isn't to our liking because of the staffs' attitude!
The site is ideal for visiting Cleveleys and Blackpool should you wish.
The only downside is there are no facilities for children but this doesn't affect us, but others may be. The site also has wi-fi available at a small cost.
All in all, I have no hesitation in recommending the site to anyone although I wish I could keep it a secret!

This site receives my top reccommendation that I could ever give for any site. Sharon and Steve have made me so welcome that I have always been very sad to leave. The campsite is perfectly immaculate. The facilities leave nothing to be desired.
The shower/toilet block is immaculate and the showers even better than in my RV, perfect temperature. Being a working farm we even saw the lambs being born. There is a children's play area.
It is very near Preston, Blackpool, and Lytham St Annes. 35 mins from the Lake District, or 45 mins to Manchester. I agree with view of the Saddle pub, but turn left and you are in Lea which has two lovely pubs. The Windmill does superb food. There are several other pubs/restaurants within a few minutes. This site epitomises Lancashire hospitality. My top vote.

Just had a weekend at this site and agree with other reviews. This is a lovely well kept quiet site. Good size pitches on hardstanding, lovely showers/toilet facilities and a washing up room. There's a pub just up the road and a carvery about10mins drive away on Blackpool Road where ere is also a Tesco Express and chippy.
The site is next to a working farm and there is also a CL at the back of the main campsite.
There's a field for ball games and a dog walk. We will definitely return to this site, especially in the summer when the weather is warmer.

A charming, warm and friendly site, lovely setting, easy to get to, clean and well looked after. Near to the Saddle Inn with stunning views. The site is dog friendly, very peaceful and quiet and not too far from Preston, Lancashire. The pitches are very spacious and all amenities were in good condition.
We went for a short weekend break and will definitely be visiting again.

We have just returned from a one week stay at Brylea, this is a beautiful and well managed site and excellently designed. The toilet and shower facilities are first class, and are kept spotlessly clean and it's a joy to be able to do the washing up in the warm.
This site makes an excellent base for visiting Blackpool and the Lake District. The Saddle Inn which is only a mile away offers good food and great value. There are several other pubs within 5 mile radius. We would definitely use this site again.

Great site, 2nd time we have been there, so clean and tidy, only problem was someones dog barking all the time but that was sorted, toilet block spotless, shower's the same.
In all a very good site for a relaxing break.
Very easy to get to off the motorway.
There are a few pubs nearby but we never went to them with being out and about. More geared up for caravans and motor homes but they have a few pitches for tents.

Just back from 9 nights here and have had a super time.
Lovely site, friendly owners and very reasonable tariff. Toilets and wash up facilities basic but always clean and never busy.
The site is well placed for Blackpool, Manchester and Liverpool and close to Preston.
Site itself was quiet, regarding noise from other campers / caravanners however a little noise first thing in the morning from nearby industrial units and nearby roads however not a serious issue.
No complaints at all, however would suggest the addition of a washing machine and dryer and a small freezer for ice blocks to improve the amenities would be great. The owners did however help by freezing our ice blocks for us each day.
Also an up to date information board with leaflets and a daily print out of the weather forecast would also be nice additions as found at other sites.
Overall I would definitely recommend this site to others.

Excellent site. Large pitches with plenty of space between each one. Very friendly and helpful owner. Also very quiet at night and everybody there appeared to enjoy the relaxation.
The toilet and shower block was spotless throughout our stay.
Disabled toilet facilities excellent.
Close to Preston but far enough away to provide peace and quiet in a rural setting.
Enjoyed a cycle ride along the canal and will certainly stay here again.
A couple of nice pubs within walking distance (about a third of a mile) serving real ale and meals
