Wasn't going to leave a review going to keep this site secret it is excellent, very clean owners so helpful, well kept. Our kids loved the wildlife and picked blackberries. So well kept. Going back next weekend, taking sister and family. There were large tents in next field with families, children all out playing, ours joined in but this wasn't noisy just a very very enjoyable weekend away. Asda is five minutes away in a car but on the site you could be anywhere in the country

This was our first ever caravan venture after years of camping.
Being retired we had some trepidation but our hosts could not have been more welcoming nor more helpful.
The site is a real treasure and one we will certainly recommend.
Peaceful, clean and well maintained to a very high standard this site is a credit to the family who run it.
We had a great stay and are looking forward to Spring when we will be visiting again.
The access--on foot(LOL) to a decent local pub was a useful facility to ex pats who like English beer-occasionally,and the nearby towns and villages had everything needed without intruding on the truly rural aspect of the site.
As a working farm the animals fascinated our Grandchildren when they came to visit Mamy and Papy's new holiday home on wheels.

Recently had a two night stay at the site and like others, we stayed there because of the reviews.
The site has a lovely clean toilet block with indoor pot washing area - you are given a key to the toilet block on arrival ( you don't need it to get to the pot washing area). The caravans are pitched on the area near to the toilet block and the tents go on a lovely flat camping field on the left of the site.
Sadly I don't agree that the pitches are large. We had a six man tent and returned to find tents on either side of us and nowhere for us to park our car, other pitches had two or three tents/gazebos to them which were obviously larger groups and the smaller family groups in smaller tents ended up huddled together. Granted, the larger groups were in the corners but I would have preferred to park at the side of my tent.
Also, there didn't appear to be any rule in relation to keeping dogs on leads and as a result there were various dogs wandering over the camping field and using it as a toile.
It was a nice clean site, not as quiet as I had expected but that was largely due to the bigger groups using the camping field as a sports pitch, even after 9pm - still, you can choose your site but you can't choose your fellow campers!

We picked this site as a 1 night stop over on our way down from the North of Scotland to the south of England.
Its not far off the M6 so not much of a detour on our journey. The reviews on here were the reason we picked to stay here. And we weren't disappointed in anyway. It was perfect in every way. So welcoming, so clean, so quiet, generous pitches.Simply perfect!
We have saved it as a favourite on our satnav as we will definitely return.

We recently visited this site for an overnight stay. I would definitely recommend it. It's clearly a new site (though there is a certified site around the back that looks as though it's been around longer). There are 8 tent spaces though they could double this number easily! Very spacious! Ground was ideal. There had been rain but it wasn't boggy.
The facilities are all in a modern block adjacent to the caravan area. In the ladies there were 2 x showers, 2 x toilets, 2 x basins, accessed with a key. I would imagine the gents were the same layout. In the middle was an inside dishwashing area with 2 sinks.
The surrounding countryside is very nice and it is worthwhile exploring the area around Lytham etc about a 20 minute drive away. The site is on the Lancaster canal though we didn't manage to find out how to get through the farmyard to find it and reception was closed when we were on our walks! There is no kids play area though there is tons of space in the middle of the tent field and the cows and sheep are an interesting distraction for little ones! We like this site and would hope to visit again soon.

Just Got back from Spending 5 nights at brylea. Absolutely brilliant time, large tent pitches with electric hook up. Excellant shower & washing up facilities spotlessly clean. Water & lighting on site very good.
Ideal if visiting Blackpool, Lake district, Manchester all within surrounding area. Site manager was superb friendly & helpful but never interfering with what we were doing. Two pubs within ten minutes, the Saddle inn, and the Sitting Goose where we ate two nights. Superb food and children made very welcome. I will definitely return brilliant.

Stayed here quite a few times this season. Every time we request the same pitch which suits us with a large family. Showers and toilets are always spot on. The welcome is excellent and honest (unlike some other sites we have visited whom are only interested in extracting more money) Hardstandings are level, capable of fitting caravan awning & car on. There is no on-site shop or kids play area which again suits us, as we are kitted out with football, swingball and kites which there is plenty of space to use. Close to Blackpool, Fleetwood market & car boot sales along with walks beside the beautiful Lancaster canal does tick all the boxes for us. As for the kids play area???
There is a good play area at the Saddle Inn (including a real horse park )which is ideal for the children whilst the adults supervise with a large glass of Thwaites.
Back to the site and the kids loved the Beef cattle & lambs in the fields especially when all the cattle gathered to watch us play swingball and gave a moo of approval. (you had to be there to appreciate the humour)
What could be improved ???
To make this a 11 out of 10 site for us~
Being able to order morning newspapers
Extend the internal road a little further onto the camping field.
Will we return again?
Well, its only 1/2 an hour away from home and we have booked again for another 10 nights in August and hopefully we will have more holidays here for Blackpool illuminations etc.

We went here for a weekend stay and just about managed to pick the hottest weekend of the year.
We were a party of 6 adults, 2 kids and Winston (the dog), it was so hot, we went out and bought a huge paddling pool so we could just sit in it and cool down!
The camping field was really flat, we pitched up in the corner and had a whole summer bbq, party vibe going on, complete with Chinese lanterns after dark and post bbq & beer!
Was a truly magical weekend - but this was probably more to do with the people rather than the place.
The facilities are immaculate with lovely indoor washing up area, however, personally I wouldn't recommend this site for people with young families, simply because most people have gone here for a bit of peace and quiet, there is no playground of any description for the children, the campsite is based on a working farm, so not really suitable for children to wander around unaccompanied, there is nothing else for miles around, it's in a really rural location.
I would go again, but maybe just with the husband, and leave the kids with my Pa, I would recommend, but think carefully before booking as to whether it's suitable for your party.
I think it was about £18 for me and the 2 kids.

Just got back from a 2 night stay at Brylea caravan park (staying from a Friday night-Sunday afternoon). The campsite is very well maintained in every way, on entering the campsite you will see the touring field with hardstandings and grass pitches and the facilities and reception face them. On the left is the camping field, where the pitches are level and situated round the edge with ehu. The grass is cut short leaving space in the middle for the kid to play their games.
The dish washing area is on entrance to the toilet block, to the left and right are the gents and ladies toilet/shower facilities all of which are spotlessly clean, you are given a key to enter these. The owner/staff was very welcoming and pleasant.
Up the road is the Saddle inn where we watched the England match, bbq outside with excellent play area for the kids and karaoke afterwards, Great family pub the only bad thing was the England match. Being only an hour away from home this was a chill out weekend so did not explore the surrounding area.
Although being a working farm its very laid back and quiet, the kids loved stroking the cows and looking at the sheep on the lane. Overall the site is excellent and will hopefully be back shortly.

Just returned yesterday from 5 nights at brylea and what a great little sight this is
We stayed from Tuesday till Sunday and they were apparently full on Friday and Saturday night and there was still a big open area between all the tents for the kids to run about in ( none of this jam everyone in next to each other to get as many in as possible ). The tents were all located around the edge of the circle so everyone had ample space for everything
The toilets and showers were really nicely built and immaculate and the showers were lovely and warm and free and the washing up area is inside in the entrance to the toilet / shower block so you can wash up in luxury instead of these outside cold water sinks
And at 15 quid a night with electric hook up amazing value as we had 2 dogs with us and they go free
Also there is a designated dog walk area and also plenty of fields that as long as you keep your dogs on a lead you can take the dogs on any of them
It is peace and tranquillity at this site all you can hear is the sheep and cows which are very friendly and come over to let the kids stroke them
All in all an amazing site and we will be returning soon
