We stayed here for the Easter break, although we have stayed before and also recommended it to family and friends, I have just got round to writing this review, we find this site to be very peaceful, clean and tidy.
The showers are extremely clean and toilets also. The owner is the one to greet and book you in, she is one of the most friendly owners we have met. Although there is nothing for children to do on site they do not mind bikes and scooters. There also is no shop on site but supermarkets are a short drive away. The saddle inn pub just a short distance away is good for food.

Just spent a lovely weekend at this gem of a site. Spotlessly clean toilet and shower block and very friendly and helpful owner.
Would definitely visit again it was so quiet we slept like a log (maybe the alcohol had a little to do with it).
We got a bargain too at £15 per night for caravan/awning 4 adults and a dog would highly recommend this site.
The only downside to this site was that it shares a postcode with the general area and we ended up on an industrial estate in the pitch black towing a caravan, nail biting moments trying to get out of that one, maybe a few signs on the way so you know exactly where it is.
All in all a lovely cheap site can't wait to return.

Just got back from this site earlier today. We stayed for 3 nights and we can't wait to get back!
The site is set in rural Lancashire not too far away from Preston and is a working farm with cattle and sheep in surrounding fields. Good location for touring the nearby attractions. Morrisons is about 4 miles away for those essentials.
The owners are very friendly and helpful.
Toilet block (male) has 2 shower cubicles and also 2 toilet cubicles that are spotlessly clean and tidy as is the dishwashing / vegetable prep area. No queues at all :) If you shower after dark, be aware that the light works on a motion sensor and switches off after 10 mins!
Site itself is clean with most of the pitches hard standing and EHU to all of them. This is also a very quiet site with no playground but there is ample grass space for kids to enjoy. Football is allowed in adjoining fields if there are no animals in there. No on-site shop.
Some of the nearby pubs can get very busy so booking a table in advance is recommended. If you turn right out of the main gate, you have the saddle inn (10 min walk) and if you turn left you have the windmill inn (approx 3 miles). Food in the windmill is good.
We will be going back as soon as we can as this really is a hidden gem.

I love this site, stayed here for 2 nights, extremely well kept site, plenty of pitch space for caravan, full awning & car, pitches level.
Toilet, showers, dishwashing facilities fantastic, & kept clean.
Quiet site but really relaxing two days, no play park, but as stated previously ball games were allowed away from the vans.
Wifi available at a cost. Large Supermarkets, short drive away. Please bear in mind we found it difficult to find a Calor gas supplier, to exchange gas bottles, Flogas is readily available locally.
Definitely would return back to this site.

Stopped here for a weekend to try our new caravan out.
The site was very clean and tidy throughout. Fellow campers were friendly and noise was kept to a minimum at nightime and early morning.
The owners were pleasant and very accommodating.
I was impressed at the size of the pitches, enough room for a caravan with awning and also for your car to be parked at the side without intruding on the neighbours.
Although there is no children's play area there is plenty of grass area for a game of football etc- our 5year old loved it.
If your looking a nice site to just relax and chill-out then this site is definitely for you.

This is our 2nd visit to this site and it definitely won't be our last. It is about 40 mins from where we live so is very easy to get to. The site itself is very well set out.
The pitches are all hardstanding with lots of room for an awning and grassed areas beside each pitch. EHU and water points are conveniently sited around the site.
The toilets/showers and washing up area are kept exceptionally clean. There is a hairdryer at a cost of 20p.
The lady who runs the site is probably the nicest site owner we have met. She attends the site office a couple of times for an hour or so each day but is always available.
There is a small dog walk on site but plenty of country lanes to walk down (don't forget to pick up after your dog).
There are 3 pubs close to the campsite all serving good food and a small village about 5mins drive away.
It is about a 15 minute drive from Kirkham where there are a selection of shops and a supermarket. Not much further and you are in Fleetwood or Blackpool.
There isn't a 'play area' for children but this doesn't stop well behaved children enjoying themselves. The peace and quiet at night is unbelievable.
All in all this is an excellent site and well worth a visit if in the area.

We have just returned from a lovely weekend (me, the wife and 13 year old daughter)and what a fantastic site!
We were met at reception upon arrival and was personally taken to our pitch, which was a well kept flat pitch.
The whole site was well kept and the toilet/shower block was excellent and very clean as they were cleaned twice daily.
It is a quiet site so not really suitable for the kids as there is nothing on site for them to do although ball games are allowed.
We will be definitely be returning to this site although it may be just me and the wife.

Just been to Brylea for a long weekend. Lovely, friendly family there to greet us when we arrived and happy to offer advice and directions to local facilities. Loads of room to pitch, site was immaculate and well laid out. Toilets/showers/pot wash spot on, and spotless - great showers and lots of hot water. Could maybe do with a separate area for ball games as we were worried the kids would boot their ball into someone else's car/van, although the site is very spacious (but kids will be kids!).
Felt very rural but it was only a short drive to local pubs that served food and a little further to supermarkets, easy drive to Lytham St Annes and Blackpool (good to be away from that nightlife!).
Only downside was the level of noise, there's a factory of some sort not far away and there was noise from that at night, some noise from planes and trains too but also comings and goings to the farm (over a couple of cattle grids). Having said that, it was nothing that a couple of beers didn't cure, and the very high standards of the site vastly outweighed it. I would definitely be back again, especially as the rates are so very reasonable.

This is a very nice and well kept site near to many of the fylde coast amenities.
Toilet/shower block is accessed via a key that you get upon arrival, toilets are clean and well maintained. Our pitch, of which we were offered a choice, are spacious and plenty of room for car and awning.
There is a small area for the kids to have a kick about or generally just play.
All the people we met whether seasonal or there for the weekend were friendly and most pleasant.
A word of warning if you plan to dine at the local pub up the road it stops serving food at seven!

Just back from a really great weekend stay at Brylea, admittedly the weather was fantastic which usually helps but we found the site really nice and perfect for our needs.
As others have stated it is a working farm but the caravan / campsite is situated in it's own grounds with well laid out pebbled roadways with fields surrounding the site. Farmyard smells and noises were very minimal. The toilet / shower block is small but very well appointed and exceptionally clean, 'free' hot showers and always plenty of hot water.
There's 3 lovely pubs within about 10 mins walk (take a torch and reflective clothing if dark as there's no footpath) all sell reasonable priced food and drink (not posh but reasonable priced proper food!). We also took a short drive down to Blackpool road to the Pig and whistle pub for a 'as much as you can fit on your plate' Carvery at £3. 69!
The owner of the site Sharon and her husband were very helpful and nothing seems to be too much trouble for them.
When we were there the site was apparently full for tents but the amount of space we had was fantastic, other sites would have fitted double the number of tents into the area but the owners said they like people to have plenty of space!
The site is only a mile or so from BNFL but you wouldn't know it was there and you really feel like you are in the middle of the countryside, I was slightly worried about the thought of BNFL but after having been there it didn't worry me in the slightest and the site will be on our favourites list for future visits.
Very handy for Lytham st Annes and for Blackpool and the flyde coast.
This place is a real gem of a site, make sure you book early to make sure you get in.
