Stayed on this site for 3 nights, nice clean site toilets and shower block very clean.
We stayed on pitch 109 and had the benefit of the sun most of the day, some pitches in other fields did seem quite close together.
The shop only opened for a short time in the morning and afternoon which considering the site was quite full for the bank holiday was a shame.
Enjoyed our stay however not much to do in Wool and not easy to find local walks for the dog.
A nice site good value for money.

We were late arriving at the site (19.30 on a Friday)but were met by a very nice lady (the owner?)who booked us in and allocated us a pitch.
The toilet block was immaculate certainly up to club standards, which I always use as a bench mark, why can't all sites be like this??
There is a small shop on site but didn't need to use so can't comment.
This is a really great location for everything in Dorset, Lulworth Cove is stunning but VERY busy and popular.
Three pubs close by free bottle of wine in The Ship with two meals. Spar nearby every thing very handy.
Only one small criticism all pitches seem to be grass, mud walked into the motorhome, annoyed the wife a bit, but all in in a great site with nice people running it. And all for £13.50 per night.
Look forward to returning!

We stayed here for 5 nights.
White mead is beautiful. You drive in and its clean and welcoming. The whole site is very well maintained. The owners were amazing to us. They didn't really have space for us for more than 2 nights but really put themselves out and jigged things around so that we could stay on for 5 nights. This didn't mean that we squashed in either.
The park itself is lovely. It has the cleanest shower blocks ever. There is a small games room which was perfect for our older kids. There is a great playground for the younger kids which ours loved. It was safe and well maintained so the kids could go down there without us ( we could see them from our tent) which they loved. There is also a samll shop and the owners were always there to ask questions and help us out, even lending us things we didn't have.
All in all we had a great stay here, too much rain! but I guess we can't expect White mead to sort out the weather as well!
We will be back and we will recommend this park to all our friends that camp too.

This is one of the nicest and cleanest site I have visited in years of camping and caravanning. I spent all of June and July at this site, and thoroughly recommend it.
The grounds and facilities are kept immaculate, with plenty of hot water in the shower blocks. However the push buttons in the showers have a short timer on them so you have to keep pushing them to have decent shower.
The playground is fine for most kids to play in being fenced off they can't really escape too far without being intercepted first.
The only bug bear is the trains which go past approx every 1/2 hour, and sound their horns due to the pedestrian crossing over the lines.
The Ship Inn is the closet pub but the Black Bear is far better being only a 10 minutes walk away, plus the handy Spar shop is just over the road from it.
The local chippy is well just plain awful, and the Chinese is very good. Boots is a 10 minute walk away.
Lulworth cove is up the road by 4 miles, and the tank museum and Monkey world are a 5 minute drive away.
Wareham, Poole, are within easy reach. However the nearest Supermarket is Tesco in Blandford Forum which is a 1/2 hour drive away.

Tried this site after seeing reviews on here and we were really glad that we did, booked for 3nts but stayed for 5nts. The site is compact but well laid out plenty room for most types of tent, but if you want elec pitch better to book in advance.
Toilet & shower block spotless clean even provide a mop and bucket for the showers so you can clean up after you,an plenty of hot water. Site was busy first week of June but never felt crowded or noisy just nice and relaxing, noise from trains little or no problem and site is in perfect place to explore the Dorset countryside
Village of wool 10mins walk with 2 very good pubs, local bakery, post office & spar although chipshop near to site not to our liking. All in all very good site and nothing is to much trouble for the owners, so am going back in august.

It is compact, generally quiet, clean and welcoming.
The shower/toilet block is extremely clean and there was always plenty of hot water. The site was just over half full but nice and peaceful (you will notice the trains but its not enough to put me off going again).
The welcome was very friendly and the pitches are pretty sizeable.
Recommendation for eating put would have to be the Black Bear in the village (over the level crossing and turn left) the food is excellent, staff friendly and prices reasonable.
The site is within easy reach of Wareham, Poole, Weymouth, Bournemouth, Corfe and Swanage.
If we ever want a weekend in Dorset again it will be to this site.

Very clean site as others state, facilities excellent, but and a big but, the site is very noisy as it is located close to level crossing (trains have to beep their horns on approach), army manoeuvres up to 4.30 am in the morning its like sleeping next to a busy motorway!
Some resident caravans with rude owners (tents should be separate) and the site management seems to favour them. All in all a very unpleasant stay, the worst in fact of all my 50+ years of camping and caravanning.

We had 2 weeks at this site at the beginning of August and it was a lovely site. It was a nice size. The toilets / showers were clean all the time, they also left a mop and bucket outside the showers for people to use when they had finished. The shop is well stocked and the games room was just right for the kids. The park, was brilliant, everything in to cater for any age including a sand pit. In walking distance, we had 2 pub, The Ship Inn and The Black Bear, a chinese, hardware store and 2 convenience stores. We are booking to go back next year.

We came here not knowing anything about it other than it was a camping park - which is not our usual choice as we don't like being so regimented. Having said that you are given enough room - not right on your neighbours lap - we had enough for the caravan awning and car and two airers - so pretty good really.
The owners are lovely - they to their own cleaning and maintenance and any problems you do have they are quick to sort out. They have a laundry room and wah up.
Toilets and showers are immaculate and yhey have a hairdryer too. There is a shop so if you run out of necessities you don't need to panic.
They have wifi - so if you need to catch up on anything you can (we used it for up to date weather reports!) they have a small play area for children with sand pit slide and swings and a games room indoors - darts pool and bar football.
There is a short cut across the train line to one pub (which is why the train toots whenever it comes past !) although we found the Black Bear round the corner very good.
The site is near Chinese take away - boots chemist - hardware store - 3 pubs - spar shop and bakers. Very clean site and although not our cup of tea because of layout we all agreed we would come again just because it's so nice!

Cantores choir were booked to sing in the Coast ans Country festival in Lulworth. A few hardy souls decided to camp while away. We found Whitemead and the owners could not be more accommodating even though it was a weekend and we hadn't booked. We all stayed close to each other, near the cleanest loo block I have ever used. It didn't matter what time of day you went in, it was always clean and tidy. I liked the fact that there were cloths on the taps for you to wipe down the sinks, a mop and bucket to wash down the shower if the previous person hadn't done it. It left more responsibility with the campers to keep it clean, not just the cleaners.
The washing machine and drier looked like new and the washing up area was spotless too. There was an iron for hire, in fact, everything you could need was there.
The shop was adequate for the few things we required and the Spar was not very far away.
They don't take cards which was a pity, but cheques and cash are perfectly acceptable.
The children were happy with the play area and it was a generally quiet site. The trains were not obtrusive and there was no traffic noise. I have stayed on much noisier sites!
I thoroughly rate this site and will be glad to stay there again when I am in Dorset.
