Finally got round to writing a review after having spent our 2 week holiday here. As I told Shane (The Warden) when we left, it’s the best site we’ve been on.
Our tent is large (10m x 4m) and there were several pitches we could have fitted on.
The site is beautifully maintained and someone was always mowing or strimming every day.
The shower/toilet block was very clean, and shut down for a 2 hour deep clean every day. The showers were nice and hot and great water pressure.
All of the staff were extremely helpful and chatty.
Over the bridge is a really great food pub and you get a site discount. There’s also a local shop and Chinese within walking distance.
It’s a nice quiet site. You could hear a pin drop by 10pm every night. A good percentage of the site was seasonal caravan pitches. I’d recommended for solo families or couples. It’s not the sort of site for large groups.
I’d also recommend Ringstead Beach nearby. Never packed and we went in the school holidays, it’s pebbley and has a lovely cafe on site as well.

Very clean, very friendly and helpful, a week spent there which we enjoyed and the location was ideal for visiting places close to both Monkey world and Tank museum.
Very close to the amenities in Wool and just over the railway bridge to a local Pub which does food.
Only negative was noise from train line and near by firing range which is nothing they can alter, did get use to it after a couple of days.

Fabulous welcome. Parked the caravan for us (even though we can do it!).
Sanitary block immaculately clean.
Small lidded bins and water points close to pitches.
Handy on-site shop but shops and pub close-by.
Would recommend to adults.

A real gem of a campsite/ caravan, friendly staff, great amenities and very clean.
Ideal for exploring Bovington tank museum/ monkey world, beautiful Dorset countryside and seaside resorts with the train station a stones throw away is a bonus.

We were very pleased with our 10 night stay at Whitemead Caravan Park, Roy and his staff were most helpful, especially Taryn who helped us immensely with advice planning our tour of Dorset.

Great little site, clean facilities and friendly staff with a good knowledge of the area and ideas of where to visit.
Showers nice an hot only down on them would be the fine spray and lack of power to it.
Entry to the facilities block at night can prove tricky with the door code buttons.
All in all a very pleasant little site

Spent 5 days Camping this August with my wife, 18 month old boy and two dogs.
We found all the staff very friendly and the entire campsite very clean including the toilets & showers (free).
I would say it’s a pretty quiet site which suited us with a young boy. (Saying that we were a little loud one night up until midnight with no complaints).
The campsite is only 10 minutes from the coast and the pub (ship) is across the road (make sure you book In advanced as it’s popular, we did not so had to go to the black bear & 7stars). The security of the site was very good.
There is a train that goes by once an hour up to midnight but I never heard it when I was asleep. They really look after the site and care and that shows in their facilities. There is a decent play ground & games room.
Locally is a Supermarket which has most stuff, butchers, bakery and petrol station as well.
Some small pointers for anyone booking: be up front with what you are brining as their are extra costs for gazebo, trailers, dogs etc.
Pointers for the owners - night lights away from the tents please - very minor but did shine through our tent.
If your looking for a quiet, clean and well run campsite with good access to the coast then this is your place. 5 stars ⭐️ all round from the Kelly Family.

We were met by a friendly man who welcomed us and showed us to our pitch.
It’s a nice clean site, but with the restrictions we used our own facilities, so can’t comment on the site facilities.
We were in Dorset to visit our grandchildren who we hadn’t seen for over a year, who lived nearby, so wanted to extend our visit to leave in the afternoon of the Sunday. We were told we could leave the van there for the day, but they would charge us another £9. 50. The site was not even half full, and when we left there was no other comings or goings, so we weren’t taking up space that was needed. The usual site we use (which wasn’t open on this occasion) never charges us the extra when we stay late.
Our time on the site was limited as we spent the days with the grandchildren and only returned to the van to sleep, so really we didn’t fully explore the site or surrounding area.
