To Find Site:- Leave M11 at junction 11 onto A1309 towards Cambridge. At first crossroads turn Right into Addenbrooks Road. At next traffic lights turn right into Shelford Road. Watch out for camping signs, at brown sign turn left into Cabbage Moor. This road is quite narrow so check that you have clear access before proceeding, perhaps best not to time arrival before midday. The entrance to the campsite is at the end of this lane.

This is one of the nicer Camping and Caravan Club sites we have visited. It is situated in a semi urban environment on the eastern outskirts of Cambridge. There are around 120 pitches with a mix of hardstandings with electrics, grass pitches with electrics and grass pitches without. At the far end of the site is a tent field. The site accepts non-members and is open from late March to early November. Electric points are rated at 16 amps and are convenient to all electric pitches. There is one facility block which is of a very nice standard which has apparently recently been refurbished. The block also contains a covered washing up area and a laundry room. Whilst the main block is closed for cleaning there are two separate toilets available for use during that time. The only chemical disposal point is situated at the rear of this building and is rather smart with hand wash facilities and a hand dryer. It does mean that from the furthest pitches it is quite a walk. There are several fresh water and grey waste points around the site. The motorhome service point is excellent as it is large enough to deal with vans with drain taps on either side. Grey wastes is disposed of through an open grill with an additional, covered, point for black waste. For children there is an adventure style playground and a kick about field beyond the tents. There is site wide WiFi and time can be purchased online. Reception sells a few essentials and most of the local tourist information is posted on the outside of that building.

Many people visiting this campsite will be here to visit the City of Cambridge. Perhaps best not to rely on taking a car into the congested centre. Near to the site at Trumpington there is a Park and Ride. There is also a regular bus service along the main road about 300 metres from the site. This service also stops at Addenbrooks Hospital. Most routes into the City also have cycle ways or marked ways on the roads. As well as visiting Cambridge the Duxford Aviation Museum is a few miles to the south. There is a direct bus service (132) to the Museum but only on a Sunday, the bus stop for this service is near Waitrose. About half a mile from the campsite is an excellent Garden Centre. For shopping there is a small convenience store fairly near to the site but the nearest supermarket is Waitrose at Trumpington which is about a mile from away. For eating out the best bet is in Cambridge, perhaps one disappointment of this site is that there are no eating places within easy walking distance.

Loved this site from the get go. If it wasn't for the satnav I'd have missed the entrance; it's tucked away. Fabulously clean facilities:toilet block (the whole area takes any disability completely into account) and washing sinks. Great little shop for very basic needs. Grass beautifully kept. Very close to the town centre possibly could walk it if like a good long walk but I would bus or cycle it; cambridge is cycle friendly so bikes would come in very useful if you don't want to use car. There is a small amount of traffic noise because it's so close to civilisation which I didn't notice till the 2nd day. You can't be this close without some slight noise. The grounds make you feel very secluded though. Great children's play area in the middle of one of the 3 fields. The wardens are extremely happy to help and found them very welcoming. If you want a fantastic and peaceful site in which to visit Cambridge that is pristine then this is an amazing choice. We will definitely come again.

Excellent site. Easy to cycle into Cambridge. First time in Cambridge -must recommend to go punting (in a boat of 12 -you don't have to punt yourself!) on the River Cam. That was so beautiful and the history of the colleges so interesting. We bought a combined ticket for the open top bus as well. Also, we went to Duxford War Museum which was excelent and just a few miles down the road from the site. We ate at Zaras Indian restaurant just down the road which was good.

Been meaning to try this site for sometime now, and so wish we'd been a lot sooner!

The site is reasonably flat and our grass pitch was more than firm enough. The facilities are, as we've come to expect from C&CC sites, impeccably clean and of sufficient number that we never noticed any queues.

Our pitch was probably about as close to the playground as is possible to get, which suited us and gave our daughter lots of freedom to go play as and when she liked, along with plenty of space for her to cycle in while we could keep an eye on her.

We only ventured off the site once during our stay, and that was to the local garden centre, less than 5 min drive down the road.

Considering this site is within a few minutes drive of the M11, you'd never know it once on site.

We spent a week at this campsite, taking our new rescue dog for her first trip away.

The site is situated 150 yards from the Cambridge boundary marker, travelling south. It is mainly a rural setting. It was just having an upgrade completed but this didn't impact on our enjoyment. About a mile away is a large Park and Ride that takes you into the middle of Cambridge at a very reasonable price. It drops you off literally around the corner from a City Sightseeing tour bus stop, which was a good way to get an introduction to the city.

The site itself is one of the largest we have visited and is, to all intense and purpose, completely level. There is even a separate field, mainly for tents, both with or without electric hook-ups and it's own water supply. There was also an area for ball games.

It is not far from the railway station but far away for it not to be intrusive. There is also an airport fairly near but it isn't very busy. A stream runs adjacent to the site but it is very slow flowing and mostly covered in weed.

It has all the usual facilities with everything you need.

The toilet blocks were immaculate with plenty of hot water. There is a small shop on site with other, local shops nearby. There is also a dog walk with fields nearby where you can also take your dog. The site's staff are magnificent. When a tree on the dog walk was damaged by high winds I reported it and by the time we had finished the walk it had already been removed.

On the Sunday somebody was out shooting in the adjacent fields and our tent, and the other one in the field, were peppered with shotgun pellets. I reported it to the office and they came out to try to find the culprit and called the police.

Overall and excellent place to stay. Quiet excluded, excellent facilities and welcoming hosts. The only downside was Cambridge itself - crowded and very 'dog unfriendly'. We would definitely consider returning here, although we would probably steer clear of the City of Cambridge!

On arrival like others, I missed the site entrance as it's not marked as a CCC site, just a brown highways authority sign so do look out for the turning as to turn round and get back to the site is not the easiest. The short narrow approach road to the site has 3 quite high speed humps and even at v. Low speed (just moving) my Passat still grounds even when not towing.

As for the site, well there has been quite a lot of upgrading going on which did mean quite a long trek to empty the toilet cassete out but was only a minor inconvenience and will be obviated once all the work is finished. We didn't quite understand the waste disposal arrangements with a multitude of different coloured bins and these were all at the site entrance with no information to guide you. The site is well kept and the toilet and shower block is 1st class. The site is fairly quiet though depending on wind direction, there was a little distant road/railway noise. The site is well placed for Cambridge with a no. 7 bus (outside the site) for the city centre (35min) or the Park and Ride at Trumpington (1. 8 miles) and costs a £1 to park and you have to put your vehicle reg. No on yor ticket (keypad on machine). The site is very close to Addenbrookes Hospital and there is a health centre quite close by should you have the requirement to see a Dr.

The staff were friendly and helpful though perhaps a little too much so explaining to us with a tourer what to do when emptying waste from a motorhome at the wet waste disposal point.

We will use this good site again and with some attention to detail, the site will get excellent ratings.

A wonderful site with excellent facilities and a extremely helpful staff. Our pitch was fairly close to reception and we loved watching the cheerful fellows on their bikes leading every new arrival to their pitch. I think this is possibly the best 'on arrival customer service' that we have come across. Well done once again to the camping and caravanning club for the high standards on their sites.

I booked this site at the last minute to take my two teenage boys to the IWM at Duxford, and I have to be honest all four of us fell in love with this site.

Staff were nothing but very helpful, pitches were large well spaced, and well maintained. The toilet block, albeit a bit of a walk was 100%.

A well placed site for visiting Duxford and Cambridge, large supermarket round the corner, I have to be honest I cannot fault this site.

I big thank you to all those who run this site, we had a great stay, and have already started recommending you to all our fellow campers.

Stayed for 3 nights on one of the hottest weekends of the year.

On arrival, entry is via a narrow private road off a main road and I overshot it the first time. Private road has speed humps which ground out my low slung motorcycle trailer so line up in the centre of the road where they have been chamfered lower.

The site is basically a large, tree lined, square with a children's play area in the centre, and a triangular 'Rally field' which is entered at the 3 o'clock position from the main field. During the first 2 nights of our stay a large contingent of noisy french kids were camped in there so I would avoid if you want the quiet life.

We were shown to an unserviced pitch at 5 o'clock position in the main field, backed against the trees which was fine. All pitches are flat. Facilities and staff all that you would expect of a C&CC site. On one side of the main field, 9 o'clock position, there is a building site, which creates some dust and noise during the week, which we heard some moans about. That side mainly had caravans on so I assume they were serviced pitches. Worth keeping in mind.

Visited Cambridge, via the Trumpington P&Ride - £2. 60 pp rtn, on the second day. Lovely City but you will be outnumbered by foreign tourists 10-1!

Third day spent at Duxford Air Museum. Didn't fit it all in during our 5 hour visit (foot sore after the day before) but well recommended. Just be aware that it's £17. 50 each for adults, so for two of us, plus a guide book, and some refreshments we did over £60 without trying!

In all, I would recommend the site to anyone. Just take into consideration the above when selecting/booking your pitch.

 Very nice site

Staff were brilliant at helping us with a last minute booking when we were let down by another site. They could not have been more helpful

Facilities are excellent, especially the showers.

Only let down was the person who took the towel our son left in the shower-if he or she needs a matching one was from Sainsburys!

Very good value for money

We enjoyed the wildlife on the site. We saw a small deer and bats as well as rabbits. A nice haven close to the city
