We have just had four nights at Lamb Cottage Caravan Park. What a beautiful pretty site. Each pitch is immaculate and is fully serviced. Hard standing for caravan and awning, with a plot of well kept grass for relaxing on.
The amenities are modern and spotless. No hidden extras, wifi, electric and awning included in the price. We also had four nights for the price of three.
All in all can highly recommend this site.

Stayed at lamb cottage for 2 nights, the pitches are large and spacious with water and waste. The site overall is well kept and well located within easy reach of Chester.
However why sites who class themselves as 5 star facilities have cheap shower fittings with dreaded push button I'll never know, push button showers belong in the past.
They also have a dog walk which in reality is a 50 yard bit of grass, although if you go to the entrance to the site and cross the road turn right you come to a wooded area were you can walk a while longer.
We would visit the site again as it's nice and peaceful and we received a nice warm welcome when we arrived.

First time at this site.
And have to say it wont be the last.
We were going with friends originally. But one of whom was taken ill. So we were too late to cancel and get refund.
But Lynn (im guessing the owner) couldn't do enough for us. So helpful.
And she also seems a lovely lady. Which makes a nice change from some of the first point of contact at some sites.
Anyway.
A first class stay at a first class site. So clean. So friendly. Sooooo peaceful. Really well looked after.
If I could give any negative. And its soooo small. Wi-Fi isn't great. But it is free.
Please try this site out. I'm sure you really wont be disappointed.
Fantastic. Will be back. And Lynn if your reading this. Keep up the good work:)

Just back from a weekend at Lamb Cottage. This is a beautiful site, peaceful and very well kept, although a wee bit soulless. The toilet facilities are excellent and worth 5*s. However, as we had 2 dogs with us we found that the so-called dog walk was somewhat restrictive. It is a narrow hedged and fenced pathway at back of site and the first thing that greeted us was a sign that dogs had to be on a lead on the dog walk! Admittedly there is the Forestry Commission land on the other side of the road but all in all I would not say that it was a dog friendly site.
As shops are some little way off it would have been helpful if Reception sold a few basic items such as newspapers, bread, milk, eggs etc. So fill your fridge if you intend to stay more than a day or two.
Having said all this, it is a perfect site from which to tour the area, details of which are given on their web site.

The actual site and facilities are good, as is the access to the site. What I found frustrating, was need for the car as any local shops were several miles away. Information on such was sadly lacking from on site warden. There was a maze of local roads and many villages all very confusing with directions, thank goodness for sat-nav. Dog walking was pathetic, how anyone can describe 50 feet fenced strip as the dog walking area, must be doing so in jest. Other walks were limited, the trail close by along the trees to site was limited, even if one used GPS and went through the woods, as very over grown and poorly marked. There is a lovely forest nearby, which we found by driving round exploring. The on site FREE wifi, in my view was poor, despite owner citing assurances from provider. Connection was ok once signed up(remember to untick the spam you promise). Maintaining a constant signal despite being close to the mast was frustrating. Suggest people bring their own wifi device. No TV feeds provided on site. Overall disappointing, although surrounding area has much to offer, suggest try alternative CC sites. I believed the AA reviews this was 91%. 75% is closer.

What an excellent site, its well kept and the shower block is immaculate with 3 ensuite shower rooms and toilets in the gents and ladies. Very quiet site and friendly welcome from the warden. The hardstanding pitches are big and all have their own water, electric and grey water drainage so no running to the drains with waste water. The toilet waste disposal and motorhome drainage is well set out also. Close enough to Chester and Liverpool and a pub nearby that does excellent food but a car is needed. As this site is adult only it appeals to the older generation more, site fees are a little more than most but well worth the peace and quiet. Will be going back again

Lamb Cottage is a very well run and laid out site, our pitch which we chose on arrival was one of six in the center of the main caravan area. The pitches are fully serviced and getting set up was very easy. We were opposite the toilet block but you would never have known it because the building is partially hidden by shrubs and planting.
Lynn and Colin are excellent hosts, we were warmly welcomed and nothing is too much trouble. They keep Lamb Cottage looking great, the toilets and showers are spotless, and the grounds are so well looked after.
On the subject of toilets and showers, I see so many comments on this site about the use of push button taps on sinks and showers on caravan sites. I really cannot see what the problem is! Water costs money and resources.
There are so many places of interest nearby, Chester is only 30 minutes away, and there is the amazing National Trust property Quarry Bank Mill to visit, and the Anderton Boat Lift, near Northwich.
We will return, without a doubt.

This is a favourite site for us and we will return time and time again. The pitches are large and spacious with plenty of room in between pitches. The facilities are all spotlessly clean. The en-suite style shower rooms are brilliant, complete with toilet, sink and shower. Plenty of toilet rolls and a radiator in each. Washing up facilities are under cover, with plenty of room and two sinks.
There is a shed with lots of books, dvds and information about the area, walks etc. The owners are so friendly and helpful.

We have returned home today from a 6 night stay at Lamb Cottage.
This is a wonderful site, toilets showers etc were spotless. Owners and warden very friendly.
The pub in walking distance the Plough Inn is within a mile and allows dogs in the bar, it is a verge walk but we managed it 4 times.
Lots of walks from the site, including the Whitegate Way.
I would highly recommend this site to visit Cheshire, we will return as there is so much more to see in the area.

Very quite adult only site with all level hardstanding pitches with own waste water disposal, tap & electric hook up.
The toilet/shower block was kept warm and clean as was the laundry room and dishwashing area. Showers & taps are the push button type not to everyones liking but as site is on a water meter it is understandable.
The owners Lynn & Mike make you welcome and nothing seems to much trouble, this was a last minute break for us & in our rush I forgot to put the spare gas cylinder in. Lynn very kindly let me have a full gas cylinder in case we ran out during our stay with payment only should we use it, luckily we did not.
The park is only a short drive away from Chester, Delamere Forest & the Anderton Boat lift all well worth a
Visit.
There are several pubs in the area we chose the Fishpool Inn on the A54 very high standard not cheap but not going to break the bank, (need to book as it's very popular). The Hollies farm shop is worth a visit its on the A49 just up from the junction with the A54.
If you want peace and quite try this site we will use it again the next time we visit this area.
