We stayed on this site for a short four day break, and from the outset found the owners to be very pleasant and helpful. Due to a fault with the car wiring, it was almost 7.00pm when we arrived. This did not pose the problems we anticipated as we had been left a note offering us the choice of three pitches all in excellent locations. The site was for adults only (plus pets) and we found it to be quiet and extremely relaxing.

Toilets and showers were very clean and a pleasure to use. There is no shop on site but less than ten minutes away by car is a large shopping centre which contains most of the usual high street stores. This made it possible to buy everything we needed without paying the inflated prices usually found in site shops.

On the downside some may say, there was also a fair selection of boutiques, charity shops etc. Which my wife seems to find irresistible, but hey ho, we were here to do our own thing for once.

This said, you don`t have to go far to discover places of interest or just stay on site and enjoy catching glimpses of a variety of birds including a vast number of geese which landed each evening in the field at the rear of our van and had mysteriously disappeared by morning! As my wife and I are keen on wildlife of all varieties, this was an added pleasure.

Having now discovered this site, we will be making full use of the peace and tranquillity on offer, returning as often as circumstances will allow.

Yes, very clean: yes, quite attractive: yes, quiet as it's adults only - but no - the sanitary facilities were not that good! The shower/toilet/basin combination in a little box with no windows was scarey and claustrophobic and there were incomprehensible instructions about turning lights off (where WAS the switch?) Also, why was there an untethered dog with one visiting outfit? I have 2 dogs and was very nervous walking past it, even though the owners told it to lie down (several times). In France/ Spain etc class 2 dogs are not allowed on campsites. Anyway, enough gripeing. It was okay. I'd go again. Maybe. It's a bit expensive though, for what it is.

Just stayed for Easter at this site, and what a lovely site, clean, tidy, lovely little dog walk, with further woods across the road and also petty pool woodlands just 100 yards up the road going left out of site entrance, the dog loved it.

Toilet and shower blocks clean, lovely area to sit in, and all have separate little rooms with toilet, shower and basin in, plus 2 spare basins and toilets for people not using the showers. Site also has a lodge to rent and also statics which are down in one corner.

Site owners lovely, and we also went on the Daffodil walk where the money goes to Macmillan nurses fund, just up the road, which was lovely, and another couple of weeks they will all be out and it will be a full bloom of yellow. Well worth it and the home made cakes and refreshments at the end of the walk, and also a bunch of daffodils each and they smell lovely and looked a right treat in the caravan window.

We will be booking again, and may make it one of our weeks away.

We stayed at lamb Cottage for two nights to practice setting up the caravan and awning as it is only our second holiday with a caravan.

The site was very well maintained and well set out.The toilet block had four bathrooms with toilet, shower and sink in each, plus two separate toilet cubicles. The facilities were immaculate at all times.

This is an adult only site so it was very peaceful and the owners were friendly and helpful. There isn't a shop on site or nearby so you will need to take plenty of provisions with you,we found this a bit of a pain but as we only stayed for two nights we coped.

The main grumble we had was the TV and mobile phone reception. We had no signal on the phone and could only receive BBC channels so I suggest taking a signal booster if you have one,but if TV is not a priority for you then this site is top class.

We go to a new campsite each night when touring and found this to be one of our top five of about three hundred sites we have visited. The shower room was to die for! Beautifully decorated and each unit consisting of a lavatory, washbasin and shower. Everything on the camp screamed perfection and yes, it was truly peaceful and also very friendly.

Stayed here for a weekend and found peace and quiet from getting out of the car to leaving (adult only)

Showers and toilets were lovely and clean and warm .

Beautiful site a credit to the owners good size pitches all fully serviced, flat and pick your own .

What more could you ask for . Would definitely recommend to everyone if you want to get away from the noises of every day life . So peaceful

What an absolutely superb caravan site. The facilities are first class. The toilet block, showers, dishwashing and laundry room are of the highest order. 16 amp hookup coupled with your own water tap, grey waste disposal point, hardstanding and even a patch of grass to utilise as your own. The pitches are a very good size and will accommodate most units comfortably.
Chester is close by and there is plenty to do in the area. Lynn is very helpful and friendly. This site is without a doubt one of the best we have visited in all our years of caravanning. We are already planning our next visit.
The best part of it is that its adults only which makes it lovely and peaceful not that we have anything against children (we have 8 grandchildren) but the peace was great.

This was our 1st visit to the site and I was very impressed the standard of the toilets and how clean they were.

Its very quiet and peaceful as its an adult only.

The pitches are quite large, ideal for sitting out listening to the birds. The pitches had all major services such a waste drain and water tap

We will definitely be going back again

It was also handy for visiting the discover caravan shop in delamere a couple of miles up the road.

Northwich is only a couple of miles up the road for any major supermarket shopping.

The owners were very helpful and put up a noticeboard to advise us the the power was down in the area and also to confirm that check could be extended to 1pm.

What a fantastic site. Just got home and we will definitely be going back. Decent sized pitches. Great amenities block. Great laundry room. The site is beautifully maintained.

Dog walk very pretty, although small and dogs must be kept on lead, but not a problem. Just walk out of the end of the site, turn left and cross over the road and you will find walks into a huge forestry or turn left out of the site and then left again and there are walks around a lake. Both fantastic. We didn't have to use the car once.

The owners and family members and really nice and are continuously making sure everything is just so.

This was the first time caravanning for me and my husband. The owners were lovely and friendly. We were given a choice of where to pitch. This was a very quiet and clean site and is a credit to the owners. The showers and toilet areas were so clean. The great thing is that it was adult only site. Note to owners Thank you again for making us feel so welcome and I would be happy to come back and hopefully will soon.
