Loved this site.
Explained this was the first time I had ever been in this caravan by myself…. ”No problem, we’ll help you!” and they did.
Picked a site, and by the time I had driven to it and stopped my van was unhooked, and wheeled on site.
That was a great start. Next, check out the loos. The en-suite style of the “Ladies” was a delight. Read reviews about the push buttons showers but think about it. First push, get wet. Then lather up, push button and rinse, re push if needed. So much better then wasting water. The only outdated item I spotted in the Ladies was the round table with a 80's style tablecloth and bowl on it.
Never been on a child-free site before, found it really relaxing and other caravanners friendly and helpful. All dogs were on leads.
Shop not needed on site as there are supermarkets within a couple of miles.
Planning another visit soon.

Just returned after a three night stay wed, Thur, fri, this being our first time at this 5 star adults only campsite and for sure won't be our last.
The direction's and approach road was plenty wide enough, reception small but very friendly staff, we were offered to choose our own pitch, all pitches were of a good size, but being a little picky would prefer wider pitches as you have to park your car in front of your unit if you put an awning up.
All the facilities were spotless would recommend this peaceful campsite to anyone wanting a quiet high standard site.

Just arrived home after spending just two nights at Lamb Cottage.
It is within an hours drive from home, so Ideal for mini-breaks.
The grounds are immaculate, the pitches are a good size, the shower/toilet facilities are very clean and warm. The site is very quiet.
The dog exercise/toileting area is very small but adequate for toileting your dog. There are woodland/farmland walks just across the road from the site which were lovely although we did get lost twice!. I would imagine there are far more walks within the area.
If you are looking for a lovely quiet adults only site, with plenty of local attractions to drive out to then Lamb Cottage can be highly recommended.

Just returned from 2 nights at this superb site. Very warm and friendly greeting from site owners, we were given information on the site and surrounding area and invited to choose our own plot (spoilt for choice as they were all lovely!) there was a 5 bay 'cul de sac' specifically for motorhomes. We had already booked a caravan super plot which had its own water as well as hook up and a light.
The big advantage for us is adults only, peace and quiet!
The en-suite washrooms are hotel standard, super clean, hot powerful showers, always well stocked with loo roll, radiator in each room, 2 extra toilets, 3 hand basins, paper towel dispenser and hair dryer what more can you ask for?
Well positioned for visiting local attractions, great area for walking.
This is without doubt a first class site!

Lamb Cottage is one of the most superb sites we have stayed on. Not because of the views (there aren't any to speak of) but because it is beautifully appointed in the Vale Royal area of Cheshire, and is spotlessly clean. It is an adults only site therefore pretty peaceful and every time we have been there we feel we are the only ones there!
The pitches all have their own water and electricity supply and are all level either under trees or in the open. The shower block has been reburbished this year and each shower is contained in a private bathroom with toilet and handbasin, with 4 in the ladies so ample for everyone. As yet I have never queued.
The only downside is there is no shop as has been said before in the other reviews of this site, and the nearest one is a good 10 mins drive. But in Sandiway there is a fabulous chinese/chippy, paper shop, supermarket etc, worth the drive. In Whitegate there is a superb pub The Plough, the Sunday lunches are to die for - booking essential anytime. Please try Lamb Cottage, you'll love it.

Just returned from 7 days at Lamb Cottage and found the site to be the usual standard to be expected from the Tranquil Group, excellent!
Site was well laid out with hard standings that include EHU hookup, water tap and drain for grey waste.
Pitch was level and had plenty of room for caravan, awning and car.
The facility block was 'hotel quality' with 3 shower rooms that contained washbasin, toilet and shower cabinet. The men's section also contained 2 additional toilets and 2 urinals and the ladies contained easy chairs in case there was a queue for the shower!
Shower was push button but that's not really a problem, just keep pushing the button! Shower temperate was non-adjustable and set a bit cooler than we are used to but adequate.
The wash basin temperature by comparison was very hot and could scald if not careful. If this could be a bit cooler and the shower a bit warmer it would be ideal.
There is a washing up area with 2 sinks and plenty of hot (very) water. This is open fronted at one end of the facility block but this isn't a problem unless the wind is in the wrong direction!
The opposite end of the block is the Laundry with Washing machine and tumble dryer at 50p a time.
The site is very quiet. Occasionally you can hear some noise from overflying aircraft but it's hardly noticeable and I wouldn't have mentioned it but a previous reviewer found it a problem. Certainly not for us and we live in a small village that is silent after 7PM.
The site is perfect for visiting Chester and surrounding area. We used the Park and Ride which was free with our bus passes! We also used the No. 1 bus from Chester to go to Cheshire Oaks Shopping Centre, 10mins journey time. The same bus also goes to the Zoo and terminates at Liverpool (1. 5hr journey time).
We also visited the National Boat Museum at Ellesmere Port. Very interesting day out.
We wouldn't hesitate to use Lamb Cottage if we're ever in the area again.

Still here and Enjoying every minute. Immaculate private showers and toilets, a pleasure to visit. Many 5 star ones have been clean but almost clinical, not these. One of the best.
And tranquillity, you got it here. Time to unwind, enjoy a beautiful setting and destress. Duty Manager is very helpful too. Spot on for Chester and Cheshire Oaks. Just try it you will not be disappointed.
No shop but phone and gas and area for dog walking. Were given full information on arrival relating to local doctors, shops etc. Really useful

Visited this site over the jubilee weekend. The site is lovely and tidy, clean and well maintained. Pitches are big enough for caravan and awning on the hard standing but also have a bit of grass for sitting out. There are some pitches with smaller hard standings which are reserved for motorhomes and are plenty big enough. The static and touring parks are separate. All pitches have drinking and grey water facilities and individual ehu.
Facilities are clean, well maintained and very acceptable for campsite facilities.
The wash up had plenty of hot water but the push operated taps could have stayed on a little longer. The sinks are not fully enclosed ( like many sites) but do have overhead cover.
The shower block has four cubicles each containing a shower, toilet and sink, plus two separate loos and four hand basins. These were clean enough but are a little dated, also water pressure over this weekend was lacking, the building was cold on Monday evening, there is no way to adjust the water temp (which was lovely and hot in my opinion but hubby found it a touch too hot and uncomfortable), and I wasn't as lucky as other reviewers as I did find queues - only to be expected on a site of this size with four showers on a busy weekend.
Plenty of recycling bins were available, there is a well stocked information room and a pay phone - don't see many of them around anymore!
There is no shop on site which is fine for a site of this size but reception doesn't even stock a few essentials which would be nice as the nearest shops are a drive away really unless you are prepared for a long walk! Calor gas is stocked.
It is a very quiet site, no real passing traffic, personally I barely noticed Manchester airport but could hear Oulton park race track in the distance.
A very nice site, with a nice welcome at reception.

Best shower and toilets block in the UK !
Room with cubicle shower - power shower so strong it feels like needles massaging your body, toilet and sink. As good if not better than most people have in an on suite at home also radiator on wall so warm.
No waiting for shower even though site full though if you did have to wait take a book as there are 2 comfortable armchairs in the block and a beautiful smell of flowers in the air !
Very helpful reception showed us to our spacious pitch.
Beautiful surroundings and very quiet as adults only.
Dog walk and opposite park turn right and 30yards down road entrance to woods with lovely paths
Dish washing facility very clean, units better than some kitchens !
Will be back

Just returned home from a lovely weekend at LAMB COTTAGE. This place is the ultimate retreat, where peace and quiet is guaranteed.
I read one review that complained it was in the flight path of Manchester Airport. Well yes it is but then again most places in the North West are too!The planes are not noisy and didn't keep me awake or disturb me
The directions were spot on, access is fine and the reception was excellent. The website does the site full justice and take it from me that everything on the website is available and isn’t down to an over active mind writing the copy.
The pitches are spacious and well maintained and we were parked up and having a cup of tea within 20 minutes.
The washrooms are the best I have ever seen/used on the circuit. Individual bathrooms, heated and very clean.
Pot washing isn’t a problem either and there is a laundry. There is no shop but the information sheet given on arrival gives all the information you need.
There are plenty of places to walk the dog too.
For us it’s just over an hour away and we will definitely be back in 2012.
