Very impressed with this site, facilities block very nicely appointed - same tiles and loo rolls as at home! Showers are the push-button type which some people do not like, but, as the site is on a water meter this is understandable. As previously stated, invited to choose our own pitch. All pitches are generously sized but as we found out, the ones along the hedge by the dog walk are shaded. If you like the sun choose a pitch in the centre. Dog walk on site is quite short but with 3 poop bins, each provided with a small shovel. Extensive forest walk 50 yards down the road from the site for more energetic dogs. Used train to get to Chester, station in Cuddington approx 1. 5 miles away, £11. 50 for an off-peak duo return ticket for 2 people, no parking problems in Chester! Station has about 15 parking spaces, so could get busy in the week, train every hour 20mins past. Did not use any pubs in the area, so can't comment but Cuddington has a Hungry Horse pub so should be ok for food. Tried to go into Northwich Friday afternoon but traffic into town was a nightmare so abandoned. Nearest main shopping is in Winsford a couple of miles away. Can recommend this site as a good place to stay.

Good clean site can have early morning aircraft noise being close to Manchester Airport Runway approach, also from the nearby Oulton Park when meetings are on which seamed like every weekend, some traffic noise from nearby road at rush hour, site may have issues with large vans especially 5th wheels and Slide out Vans and large motor homes due to pitch sizes, a little bit regimented and close together. Toilet block is of the prefabricated type very clean, would be even better if brick built though. Recommend it for short stay.

My wife and I are just back from a Sat+ Sun night stop at this VERY nice site.
A nice layout on hard pitches all level. Each pitch has it's own fresh water/ waste water/elect points, so no walking around to set up. The shower/toilet block (free) is superior to anything we've seen before. The owners and wardens are friendly and helpful and there is a useful local info room/library.
We visited Chester. There is a Park & Ride about 20mins away.
The rest of our stay found us 'just chillin' on the site. We hope to return to this tranquil haven.

This is the 2nd time staying here, but the first was some years ago.
But this site failed to disappoint.
The pitches are a good size, the showers and toilets are immaculate, having your own cubical with shower, loo and sink is fantastic.
We will be returning at some point.
We would highly recommend the Chinese and off licence and deli at the top of the road.

Stayed at this lovely site many times now. Adult only and very quiet. The toilet /showers are lovely with toilet shower and basin in one cubical. With three in both men's and ladies there is also an addition 2 toilets without showers. We have never queued though even a busy times. Very friendly reception. You can chose your own pitch which is also very nice. There are many local shops in nearby winsford and close to Dellamere Park which is great for biking or walking. Some lovely pubs close by but dogs aren't allowed inside which is a great shame. Pitches are fully serviced. There is also a pot washing area for your convenience. They have put lovely bird feeders in the site and they attract some beautiful small birds which we love watching. Cannot recommend this site highly enough.

This is a lovely campsite located just off a quiet country lane but not far from the main road from Northwich to Chester. We left our children with their grand parents and had a quiet weekend with just the two of us, choosing this campsite because it is an adult only site.
The pitches are all level and of a good size, each having double width hardstanding for caravan and awning and electric, water and waste water connections. My parents have a motorhome so I always look out for suitable sites. This site has an area dedicated to motorhomes so there is no chance of leaving your pitch and returning to find it has been taken. There is also excellent facilities for emptying the grey water tank (full width drain in the road) with adjacent fresh water tap.
The toilets are spotlessly clean. As well as toilet cubicles and open basins there are also en-suite style rooms containing an enclosed shower cubicle, toilet and basin - wonderful as you can get dry in the shower cubicle before getting out keeping the floor dry. The pressure was good and the showers hot. The only slight issue (mainly for my wife) was that the showers operate on a push button system, this means you can't control the temperature and keep having to press the button. On the plus side the showers are not the fixed head type, meaning if you just want to wash your hair, or like to take the shower head off and use it in your hand you can.
There was a washing up area with two sinks, unlike most campsites they have left room next to the sink to put your washed pots, very useful as most sites fit sinks adjacent to each other making it very cramped. There is also a laundry with a coin operated washer, dryer and iron although we didn't use these during our stay.
I have no doubt that we'll be returning to this site in the future, I would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet break, away from the hustle and bustle of life but not too far from local towns and shops.

We met the duty warden and the owner, both were very friendly and helpful. The toilet block was a clear 10/10. The site was very well kept. Everything was clean and tidy. There were plenty of pubs within a short drive that served food. This is the first time I have visited an adults only site as we usually take our grandson with us. We would definitely visit this site again. All in all this site is a credit to all involved in the running and upkeep of the site.

We visited this site as it is adult only. The site was lovely, we received a lovely welcome by who I presume is the lady owner. She was really friendly. We were allowed to pick our own pitch which was a nice touch. There is plenty of space between pitches so you don't feel on top of each other, so you still kept your privacy. It is very tranquil and the only noise we heard were birds in the trees - bliss! The following morning I went to use the shower at about 10.30 but they were being cleaned so I was invited to use the disabled bathroom, which was spotlessly clean. The showers were free and provided lots of hot water. We wanted to stay on a while longer before returning home and was charged £1 an hour which was okay. Overall, a lovely site and one we will definitely return to.

We had a weekend here and it is a popular adult only site.
Facilities were good but obviously picked the wrong time to shower as both mornings all 3 showers were occupied.
Liked that you were allowed to pick your own pitch on arrival.
Heard some morning noise from motorcycle/car racing in the distance which didn't last to long but was otherwise very quiet.
Didn't notice any security barriers on the way in/out but you are out in the country a bit.
