This is an attractive site split on three levels with good planting with grounds that are well looked after by the helpful warden’s. The serviced pitches are well laid out with a mixture of concrete and gravel, and gravel bases. Judging by the number of fully set up caravans around the park with no one at home there are a high proportion of seasonal pitches.

My partner and I are both retired and are enthusiastic tourers, Two Mills was the fourteenth site we have stayed at so far this year, and therefore we have seen a lot of sites to form a comparison. Please remember this as you read on. Two Mills has a plaque in reception awarding it a five star rating for 2015.

Even though the park is split into three tiered levels there are only two toilet blocks and only one chemical waste point which is located in the lower toilet block, more on that later. The newer block on the second tier is well laid out but suffers from inadequate ventilation and has a damp smell about it. On one trip to the Gents facilities two shower stalls were in use and the whole building was filled with steam, so much so that condensation was running down the walls. This section of the building needs roof vents just like the Ladies section and an extractor fan far better than the small single domestic one installed.

The facilities on the first level close to reception are the oldest, and are now in need of restoration. It has a coin operated hair drier in the Gents which is the first I have ever seen at any location. However the facility which annoyed me the most was the chemical waste point. It’s not a nice job at the best of times emptying and cleaning the cassette, but why oh why is the flushing tap push operated and set to such a low pressure it takes ages to get enough water in the cassette to rinse it. The hose is also too short to reach the outflow neck of the cassette so you have to hold the hose with one hand whilst stretching to the back of the hopper to keep the button pressed on the tap in! This is the only CWP on the whole site and should be better. The second time I paid a visit to the CWP I took my watering can with me and filled it from a nearby tap, much easier.

The site is not a tranquil as we had hoped for. It hosts a large wood pigeon populatation in its trees; we had four breeding pairs within six feet of our caravan. If conditions are right wood pigeons will breed all year, and every day from 5am the males started their cooing… It was enough to drive you mad. The wardens caravan has a plastic stoat on the roof to keep the pigeons away, I suggest you get one. Add to that those dog owners that allow their dogs to bark and yap. The park is also under the approach path for helicopters into Norwich Airport, and the RAF have fighter jet exercises overhead two days a week.

I really do hate to give bad reviews about a site we have stayed at, but Two Mills needs to look at it’s self from a visitors point of view. Oh yes, wifi is free if you go to reception, however from your caravan it will cost £12. 50 a week. The internet is where most touring parks get their business these days, so to be charged for it's use when you are staying there is not on.

But, we still had a great holiday. Norfolk is a great place to visit, the Broads are beautiful, Norwich is a great city, and the Cromer crab and lobster a must. The free range eggs from Meale & Sons Farm Shop on the A149 heading for Gt Yarmouth are some of the best we have ever eaten.

Amazing, very very tidy, well presented. Quiet peaceful site (Adults only)Fully serviced pitchs available and well laid out. Staff are very friendly, made to feel very welcome. Can walk to town where plenty of everything is available but is a bit of a stroll, however it is possible. Dog friendly and good walks available. Toilet blocks, washing up & washing available all clean and tidy. TV reception not great but SKY boxs available at £1 a night if you want it. A good find for us and will certainly be back (if we can get in) was full the weekend we were there early July. Thanks to all on site see you again soon.

Nice site on several different levels, reasonable pitches although little screening between them. Facilities clean and modern, slightly odd that only 1 washing up sink in it's own tiny room in the block we were close too. Overall though I would stay again and the warden who welcomed us was incredibly helpful.

A good choice for a few days away from the maddening crowd.

A friendly reception, and help offered to get onto the pitch.

The site is well cared for, the facilities are superb, a very nice touch is the provision of tea/coffee in the Wi-Fi area.

A well planned site on different levels.

Easy access to walks in the countryside for the more adventurous.

A supermarket in the nearby town for provisions.

The site is close to long stretches of unspoilt coastline, and to the Norfolk Broads.

We have just returned from a few days at Two Mills, this was our first visit to an Adult Only site, and it has been like heaven, no children with bikes, scooters, balls etc, just peace and quiet apart from the odd dog barking from other caravans. We were not disappointed, from the moment we arrived we were offered a cup of tea, given a leaflet with information about the site and shown to our pitch. It was gravel hard standing and the pegs for the awning went in very easily. There is a lovely walk into North Walsham, not far from seaside towns. Highly recommended.

This was our second stay at two mills and what a pleasure it was, the weather was glorious the site was immaculately clean, I would have no hesitation to recommend this site the toilet and shower block were very clean & warm the background music is really a homely touch, the small camp shop has essential items but the local supermarket us about a mile away. There is a lovely short walk around the site great if you want to stretch your legs we are planning our next visit. Two mills is just as the sign says a very relaxing adult retreat.

Nice clean and tidy site, in peaceful location. Toilets and showers clean. Plenty of walking around and about. We did find the pitches a little bit close together, with no screening. Ideal for exploring Norfolk. We especially liked the town of North Walsham, which is a 10 minute drive away. Also the Hotel just down the road, (walking distance), was good.

Having been blown away by the standard of the pitches and facilities at Eye Kettleby, we decided to book Two Mills as it was also 5 star and a member of the Tranquil Parks Group.

The pitches were adequate, but I would imagine a little cramped in high season. The site was quiet (except for the helicopters flying in and out of Norwich from around 7. 30am and the surprise visit of two low flying jets during the night on one occasion) and very well kept with a pleasant dog walk and quirky statues dotted around. The toilets were very clean, but I have to agree with some of the comments made about the showers. I had a couple of 'moments' with the shower curtains and the stream of water went off far too quickly.

We received a warm welcome and the offer of a cup of tea was much appreciated, as was the help with positioning the caravan.

A sheet with information about shops, petrol stations, restaurants and take aways in North Walsham would have been very useful. A visit to the Thursday market is recommended, especially for fresh fruit and vegetables and the fish and chips from Three Cottages, opposite Sainsburys, are delicious.

We are now a little confused as to what we should expect to find on a 5 star rated site. Was Eye Kettleby a 5 star plus or was Two Mills really a 4 star? This is where honest reviews really help someone new to touring.

We have stayed on a few sites now making the most of are little tourng caravan, and we stayed on this site with some friends who have a motor home, showers were a little disappointing but overall ok.

Plenty to see and visit, was very quiet when we stayed but were welcomed warmly on arrival. Lovely area with shops and pubs nearby for convenience.

We've just returned from a 3 night stay at Two Mills and I must say we were a little disappointed. I'd read the reviews before booking, paying particular attention to the less positive ones, but as it's listed as a 5 star site, I thought the reviews must have been an over reaction. Sadly not. The pitches are incredibly close together, especially if you have an awning up, which means you have to park your car on the grass adjacent to each pitch. The only problem with this is you end up parking by the window of the adjacent caravan. I thought it must be a mistake, but apparently it's the norm on this site.

The biggest disappointment was the shower block. Perhaps it was me, but I was expecting facilities that were commensurate with it's 5 star rating? 2 showers in the gents was disappointing, but more so was the size of them. I'm only a small 11stone man and I struggled to fit. There was no way of fitting in without banging elbows on the sides and if someone opened the door to the gents block, be prepared to have a wet clingy shower curtain stuck to you! These are some of the smallest showers I've come across.

Some reviewers have mentioned being offered tea on arrival, which seems a very nice touch. However, we weren't offered such niceties, even though we arrived at 13:15 and the site was by no means busy.

We were expecting so much from this site. It's 5 stars, it's excellent reviews, it's friendliness, it's location. I'm sorry that we're leaving a rather negative review, but if you want the 5 star site then you've got to earn them and we felt this site didn't quite get there.

We only used this site for a short time, which in the end I'm pleased about. It's not a site we'd return to as there are better ones about.
