As others have said this is a lovely camp site. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Just stayed for 3 nights.

Plenty of walks and we only used our car once as we were close to the coast hopper bus route. So we walked from the camp site along the coastal paths and if it was too much for our dog to walk back we got the bus.

Great for twitchers, we saw some Spoonbills amongst lots of others, but they were a first for us.

Site busy but plenty of room, didn't seem to be a charge for utility tents either with lots of family groups camping.

They do freezer packs for hire as well. Laundry and washing up room. Showers are the hold the button in sort, but lovely and hot the site was busy but I didn't queue at all.

The only thing we were shocked at was where the sea was after a walk of 20mins we were still no nearer, it was absolutely miles away, there is a timetable so that you can plan your trips to the beach though. Our dog was confused all that lovely sand and no sea. Lots of mud on the way as well, which the kids seemed to enjoy.

Only 1hr40mins away from us so we will make a return trip.

A lovely campsite. Not the cheapest at £16 a night for a tent and two people but worth it. It was almost full when we were there but the pitches are large so it did not feel cramped.

It is right next to the coastal path and in lovely countryside. Although it was busy it was quiet at night. Lots of wildlife, we saw a barn owl on site. The birds can be loud in the morning!

Good toilets and showers but the hand dryer is very loud and could be annoying if you were camped next to the toilets.

In a nice village with a pub and shop and not far from Wells. People on reception were very friendly and helpful.

Would go back if in the area.

Great site. Fabulous location on the edge of the salt marshes. Site facilities are very good; toilets and showers clean with plenty of hot water. Owners are very friendly and so helpful. Good sized pitches with no hook up. Close to local shops that sell fresh local produce and also near places to eat.

Ideal for walking as the site is situated on the Norfolk Heritage Coast Path. We stayed for the last two nights of our holiday and wished we had found this site earlier. It is a very busy site but still has a relaxed but vibrant atmosphere. Will definitely be going back.

Agree totally with other reviewers about the lovely location, though not as peaceful as it might be when it gets busy. Facilities good, clean, well maintained - though a pest having to hire icepacks not freeze your own.

When we booked it was really quiet, then came the good weather! If like us you want real peace & quiet to enjoy the wildlife AND get a pitch with any kind of view, you need to go early/late - unless you ask for a specific pitch once you've been to see what's where. Edge pitches good, middle ones not so nice for us.

Only downside for us was having been told when I booked that we needn't leave until 2pm (and confirming that when we arrived!) as we were walking out the last morning we got told we had to be off by 12 as they were busy. ! They did finally concede we'd been told 2pm - but we still had to actually go by 12.

A great little campsite close to Wells next the sea, Sheringham. Brilliant position. Nice and quiet even though quite busy. Toilet block lovely and clean. 10 min walk to local pub. Pub serves nice food at a reasonable price. No electric hook up but this was no problem as just there for a couple of days.Good recycling etc. Dog friendly.

Minus points;

Nothing really. Just could do with hand dryers or towels in the toilet block.

We discovered this site a couple of years ago. For us it is ideal. Overlooking the salt marshes. Nice walks into Wells and Morston / Brancaster and the pub 10 minutes walk away for a decent meal.

The is no electric hook up and flat spaces are plentiful for motorhomes (no caravans allowed). The toilet block has been recently extended to provide extra washing up facilities etc. A chest freezer is also available to use.

The site can be very busy in high season and therefore you need to book. However, the wardens (brilliant people) will always try to fit you in.

In the quieter times the is lots of space for dogs and kids to run around - however both must be kept under control! There are no stuffy rules, just common sense ones. Kids can play all day in the woods and on the marshes and then at the end of the day, you can wash them down with the hosepipe (this should be encouraged as it helps keep the showers clean)!

For those that need - TV reception is good, shop 10 minutes walk, ice cream van makes regular visits (about 5.30pm on sunny days). Local Coasthopper bus service from the village is excellent.

If you want clubhouses and amusements - do not stay here! If you want a 'proper' campsite then pay a visit to Stiffkey - but don't tell anyone else!

Fantastic site. This is my second visit, but everyone else's first (group of 6 adults & 6 dogs).

Facilities block is very clean - good hot showers. The owners were really helpful, as we had 3 tents, and had assigned us pitches together. As we were out of school holidays, they were fine that we spread out a bit, but in reality the pitches are of a good size - even with our large tent.

The views are fantastic - located right beside the marshes. We were there on the equinox, so the tides where really high, giving you the most fantastic vistas.

We are already planning when we can come back next year!

Just got back from High Sands Creek and felt compelled to to right a review, I never usually do this sort of thing.

This camp site and the staff running it are wonderful, laid back yet attentive, polite, friendly and informative. The facilities are as good as anything I've stayed at in the last 10 years and very, very clean.

Local pub was wonderful, great food, excellent beer.

And on top of all of that we paid £4. 40 each for the night! Absolutely fantastic value. Will be back with everyone I can muster to enjoy with me.

Turned up on the off chance of a space for one night (mid August!) and they found us a pitch. Lovely site with good clean modern facilities. Lovely caring staff, free showers with plenty of hot water. Walked to Wells (about 3 miles on the long distance footpath)and also out to find the sea (took about 45mins and it wasn't low tide then!)fantastic beach- just miles of soft golden sand. Good pedaling country with lots of little lanes inland although the actual coast road can be busy

Having recently returned to camping, and bought a new tent, we rang on the off-chance and managed to get on for Sat / Sun night. Well kept site which is very popular with families, due to the wonderful mud flats leading to the beach. The weather was lovely, as were most of our fellow campers, toilets and showers very well kept, clean and plenty of hot water. Washing up and laundry room again lovely and clean, and the staff made sure bins were empted throughout the day. Sunday was very quiet and as Elton John was performing less then 3 miles away we could hear all the songs! result!

We had a really relaxing 2 days and if we didn't have to work would be there still, great walks, wonderful views, a little busy on Friday / Saturday nights, so if you dislike children stay away then. We didn't have a problem and the kids were on the whole very well mannered and quiet after 10pm!

There isn't any real facilities on site other then washing etc, but we like that. We will be going back soon
