A fantastic site with above standard facilities including an extremely clean toilet block, well maintained pitches and a Motorhome Service point at the site entrance.
Friendly and helpful staff welcome you to the site and ensure you are comfortably settled on your pitch. Local facilities are good with the bus stop near by that will transport you to Devizes in one direction and Melksham and Bath (amongst others) in the other.
For the fit and healthy the nearby canal offers walks as far as Bath, via The Barge Inn, in one direction and along the tow path and lock gates to Devizes in the other.
For the not so fit the local pub, The Three Magpies, lies yards from the site entrance and serves a selection of local real ales as well as providing a good lunch time and evening menu.
Highly recommended this site is on our favourites list.

We found this site to be very spacious, we were greeted and shown to our pitch by a friendly & efficient team. The pitch was level with plenty of hedging and lovely trees between each action with facilities close by.
The shower block although old fashioned was clean & the showers were nice and warm.
The site is very close to the Kennet & Avon canal providing miles of walking opportunities. We enjoyed a nice lunch at the 3 Magpies pub just yards from the site.
We enjoyed our stay & will return.

This is a very good site with excellent facilities and a play area that kept our Grandson happy. Wonderful walks along the canal and towpath into Devizes itself and an excellent bus service.
The pub just by the site serves very good food. Booking is advisable as it gets very busy and it also has a play area for the children.
We will definitely be returning

This has been our 5th visit to Devizes and its still a firm favourite, however if I was to pick one niggle, which in fairness is not the fault of the site, it is the road that runs along side the site that provides access to the canal. Its as busy as the M1 and just as noisy mainly caused by early start, late finish fisherman arriving and leaving in their cars. There is also some idiot the other side of the bridge with a sports car that likes to rev it all day. So, my advice, ask to be sited away from the roadway, it'll be much quieter.

Well situated site with a lovely canal side walk into devizes via the caen hill lock flight, a bus stop just outside the site to bath and devizes, next door to a nice friendly pub with good meals, site is clean and tidy a credit to the wardens who are also friendly and accommodating we will be revisiting

Just returned from a weekend and a had an enjoyable time, very friendly wardens, and the site is immaculate. Our main objectives when picking a site to visit is its proximity to interesting walks for us and our dogs, the canal runs along the boundary so perfect, the Caen Hill locks are well worth a visit. The shower/toilet block is a bit tired looking but clean, definitely due an upgrade. The only disappointment for us is that since our last visit the dog (off lead) exercise field has now become a dog walking area with dogs having to be on lead at all times. I understand from the new wardens that there were a couple of incidents where the owners did not have control over their dogs which led to the revised policy, a shame that the few spoil it for the majority as for us this was a huge plus

Sitting in my van on my last night of what has been a lovely week at this ccc.
The site is well kept & the wardens are very friendly & helpful. The facilities are spotless
Walked into Devizes a few times along the towpath & spotted kingfisher. The tea room is worth a visit.
The bus stops close to the site & it's worth purchasing a return ticket as it works out £2 cheaper than two singles. Lots to do in town. Went on a canal trip which was very enjoyable & the museum was fantastic.
The three magpies pub is good but gets very busy so would recommend that you book a table if you want food. Did not get to do all the things I wanted so will defo come back again. Also met a group today called the Phoenix camping club for people who camp on their own think this may be the way forward as it's more fun when you have company

Had a wonderful 4 nights here the staff were very helpful showed you to your pitch, the grounds were emaculant toilets were keept clean at all times. Small shop for some essentials and ice cream. The play area looked safe and well kept. You could tell by the way the staff were that it was more than just a job.

We love this site and in our opinion it's The Best C&CC site.
Easy, friendly check in with a smile! We were offered a choice of pitches by one of the happy wardens who we followed on his bike. We chose a secluded hardstanding pitch within easy reach of everything on site and were very happy there for 3 nights.
The site it immaculate, the wardens obviously work very hard. There's one central toilet/shower block which was clean at all times and the showers were the best we'd had all week (powerful!). The shop/reception sells odd essentials and you can pre-order daily newspapers.
It's a great area for walking and biking with the canal towpath just outside the site. We biked to Bradford-on-Avon one day (9 miles each way) and to Devizes twice (4 miles each way) with a detour to Melksham one of the days. Caen Hill Locks are stunning and well worth a visit as is the tearoom at the top of the locks (great toasted sarnies!). The Three Magpies, the pub just outside the campsite, is good too but gets very busy. We preferred the Barge Inn at Seend a short (approx 1 mile) walk from the site along the towpath, where you can sit outside and watch the barges coming, going and mooring up. Beer/cider very expensive in both pubs (£7. 70 for 2 pints!) but the food in the Barge Inn is fantastic. Well worth the walk.
This was our favourite site of our entire trip and we'd love to go back again soon.

Wow! What a wonderful site! We only stayed here the one night but cannot wait to go back already.
The wardens are so friendly and the site is immaculate. The site was busy for our stay but facilities were spotless.
The location is great for whatever you want to do in the area - be it a gentle stroll along the towpath, or a day trip to Bath.
We are so pleased we found this gem.
Now we have our new folding camper, we will be back very soon!
