We have just returned from a week at this site. We had a fantastic time we pitched our caravan on the top field at the side and had a full view of the bay and sea.
The week we were there it was very hot no rain at all and no wind. The sunsets were to die for and the last night was the best. Pure orange all over. The site is the best and so are the wardens.
The fish & chips on a tues and friday evening are great. We will be back, can not wait.

Stopped for 3 nights on the way back up from Cornwall. Fantastic site, fantastic location, fantastic views. We pitched on the top field over looking Bossiney Cove (recommend going down on to the beach when the tides out and it’s dog friendly too).
The site is situated about half way between Tintagel and Boscastle and both can be reached along the coastal path which passes along the edge of the site; walking time approx. 1- 1 ½ hrs in either direction. All the usual CC facilities are to be found here – toilets / showers, dish wash, laundry, motor home waste point, etc. And all kept to the usual high standard club members have come to expect. The wardens are friendly and never seem to stop except to chat. An added advantage is the local bus stops at the top of the drive (although not an official stop) so getting about without a car isn’t an issue. Oh and a fish ‘n’ chip van calls twice a week in the evening. !
Tintagel Castle (under the management of English Heritage) is worth a look round (and is dog friendly), just be warned though that there are numerous steps to be climbed. The Visitors Centre at Boscastle is also worth a visit as it recalls the floods of August 2004 (plus you can grab a cream tea).
Will we return - you bet!

This is the second time we stayed here for a long weekend. It is a brilliant site and suits us down to the ground. Not great for kids as there is no adjacent beach - so that means the site is relatively quiet which we prefer. There are the most fabulous walks in each direction directly from the site. We have walked to Trebarwith Strand - make sure the tide is out to see this fab beach at its best and then we caught the bus back. A really healthy walk in the opposite direction takes you to Crackington Haven via Boscastle and then the bus back.
The site is standard caravan club with spotlessly clean ablution blocks. The porta cabins look a bit grim from the outside but are really well appointed inside with very hot water. One of the things that puts this site way above some caravan club sites are the wardens. Here they are pleasant chatty and helpful. They have excellent customer service skills and don't possess a 'jobs worth' cap - a characteristic which is sometimes all too abundant on other sites.
I cannot understand why people grumble about it being windy - surely the view is worth the breeze - it is after all the North Coast of Cornwall. The sunsets are to die for so lets celebrate the rugged cliffs, the Atlantic Ocean and be grateful that the Caravan Club own such a wonderful site.

Having read all the excellent reviews of this site we booked in for a total of 6 nights. Upon arrival we were informed that we had booked an economy pitch with no electric hook up. As this was a genuine mistake we were quickly allocated to a normal standard pitch. (I was unaware that the Caravan Club did economy pitches, so note to self is to check next time).
The views from the site are excellent if you manage to get one of the better pitches, however this seems to be a popular site so there is no guarantee of a pitch with a view.
The grass pitches are on a sloped tent field which was very sodden given the poor weather conditions. The tent field has a portable cabin for toilet and shower facilities with the main part of the site having a brick built shower block. I found the facilities to be totally inadequate for a site this big to only have one shower block.
As you can imagine in the mornings the queues for the ladies showers were quite long, therefore I decided to walk to the portable cabin rather than wait. The Portable cabins are clean however the space is very small not much room to dry and dress. The showers are push button and only last for 10 to 15 seconds which is very annoying.
The site I found to be disappointing, the verges are all overgrown and it looks very much like nature is taking over this site. There are no flowers or shrubs around the shower block just some large boulders which looked very barren like a moon landscape.
We walked along the coastal path into Boscastle which is not for the faint hearted. The coastal path was quite treacherous in places which I believe was due to the heavy rain which we have had during the past few weeks.
There is a bus which you can catch from Boscastle which drops you just outside the CC site.
There are no cycle paths within this area, however we drove to Wadebridge (about 18 miles away) and cycled along the Camel Trail into Padstow. The cycle trail is off road and very good for all abilities and families, you can hire cycles from Wadebridge.
Although we enjoyed our stay at this site I would not return here as I feel that there are other sites in the area with a better location and facilities suitable for the size of the site.

What a lovely site. Probably the most friendly wardens we have come across. Lovely clean toilet block. A well stocked shop, great for bread, milk etc.
Yes, it is a windy site but you can forgive that, the views are stunning out to sea. We walked back from Tintagel, very rocky and up and down on the coastal path but again beautiful.
Club wifi as always very reliable.
Bus service from the top of the road was great, we visited, Tintagel, Boscastle, and Port Isaac. Consider a day rover ticket it is the best value.
Would thoroughly recommend.

Access to this site is relatively straight forward, but be sure to follow the CC directions. Sat nav will take you down some very narrow lanes and you wil get stuck.
The site is perched on the cliff tops between Boscastle and Tingadel and is very exposed to everything the Atlantic can throw at it. This is the first site I have ever stayed on that I have had to take the awning down for fear of it being destroyed by the weather.
The site is big and set out in terraced cul de sacs. The upper part of the site is served by portable cabin toilet blocks while the other traditional toilet block struggle to keep up with demand.
The views out to sea are stunning, but with that comes pitch envy, and every morning as pitches with a better view come free teh peace of the site is somewhat disturbed by residents racing and sometimes arguing over available pitches and relocating within the site.
Unless you are content to be ripped off by eith Londis or Spar in Tingadel food shopping involved a rather long drive.
This site is wild and rugged, and apart from the mowed pitches had an unkempt feel to it.
Don't think we will be returning here.

Just stayed for a week including the bank holiday, due to gridlock on the M5 we arrived late afternoon around 5pm, to be met by helpful staff. was told to walk around to look for a pitch, due to holiday weekend it was very busy and all the terraced sea views had been taken, so we up near the tent field needing wedges for front wheels,
there are two toilet blocks those near the tents are the portable kind and another brick built both are exceptional clean.
We were allowed to move pitches whenever one became available that we liked. There is a shop in reception selling basics and you can order papers.
The walks to boscastle took about an hour and bus back cost £3. 40 for two. And two hours walk to tintagel.
A walk into rocky valley next to site and there are some prehistoric stone carvings near the old mill. Will definitely return. Ps. It does get windy on site.

We came upon this site by chance when visiting Tintagel and Boscastle. What a find! Not only is it in a stunning situation, but the brilliant, friendly wardens informed us that our CCI (Camping Card International) membership entitled us to the members' rate on CC sites. We live in Portugal and visit the UK infrequently and apparently this arrangement is a recent one - lucky for us.
This was our first experience of a CC site and we were extremely impressed. Because of the concession we felt we got good value for money (£18. 95 inc. Hook-up + two dogs). The toilet blocks were second to none, the views breathtaking and the welcome very warm.
Both Tintagel and Boscastle merit a visit and both are within close proximity.

This is a big Caravan Club site. The welcome could have been warmer. We find that CC sites do just enough but no more; it's a bit like booking an appointment at the doctors.
Anyway the site facilities are terrific for a motor-home, with a roomy motor-home service point. The views from the terraced site out to see are stunningly good. We enjoyed a wonderful cliff-top barbecue by our 'van and watched the sun set at the end of a beautiful day.
Tintagel itself is really nice, and the public car park has nice grassy edges so a motor-home can overhang and fit into a regular bay - definite plus! We recommend the pasties from the pasty bakery just around the corner of the high street, where you can see them being made - quite a challenge to eat one all to yourself!

Very attractive site. Some of the hardstanding pitches are too small for a car and caravan with awning.
When we were there most of the pitches overlooking the views were very large and all occupied by a single motorvan.
It is also perpetually windy. If you want to sleep at night. Do not bother with the awning anyway. Flap flap all night long.
Approach roads need care. The clifftop walks are spectacular. But not for those who have any mobility problems. Facilities good. Wifi good. TV good.
Avoid Trebarwith Strand. The parking is a nightmare.
