Had a fantastic week here. Wonderful views, just didn't get tired of looking out to sea, it changed every day. Facilities were perfect for us as we were very close to them. Clean, tidy first class shower block and laundry.
A small shop for emergencies. Brilliant walks. Boscastle is a must, very pretty and un-spoilt. You get a sea view from almost every pitch. Plenty of space for awning, although we took ours down because of a Force 10 gale.
Would recommend this site, but you must book early as it gets very full in the summer months. A perfect base for exploring North Cornwall, Port Issac, Tintagel, Padstow, Boscastle and beyond.

This was our second visit to this site. A beautiful site overlooking the sea. Every site had a lovely sea view. Can be a bit exposed if it is windy. Toilet block was spotless and was heated. It had the excellent standard that you can expect from a Caravan Club site. Lots of walking on cliff paths, and plenty of places to visit. Lovely village of Boscastle close to site, as well as Tintagel, although that is a bit touristy, but good for children with its witches and King Arthur theme.
Wardens were very pleasant and helpful. We very much enjoyed our stay and would go there again.

As other have said before - a jewel of a site. The views from nearly every pitch are breath taking over the Atlantic. The showers / toilets absolutely normal Caravan club high standards.
The site is high on the hill outside Tintagel - a couple of miles drive away. We drove down direct from Boscastle on the B road - no problems with that route.
Only one slight negative - why do we always feel we are being told off for not pre-booking on Caravan Club sites? They had pitches free so surely it shouldn't matter?

This really has got to be the ‘jewel in the crown’ of The Caravan Club. The site is set on a cliff top and views are simply heavenly. You’ll need to book well in advance to get in at busy times as pitches over the summer can be like hen’s teeth! But boy is it worth it.
Under no circumstances follow sat nav on apprroach - follow the directions in the CC handbook or you’ll end up on single track roads with hairpin bends!
When you arrive, you’ll be issued with a site plan and sent off to choose your pitch (over your stay, you’ll see hundreds of couples marching around at about 12ish with their bits of paper – usually with the wife in the lead ;-) ). The best pitches - ie The front row pitched usually go first but you can always move onto one once one becomes free – they don’t mind at all.
The facilities are spotless and really first class and even the overflow showerblock & toilets (in portacabins) are really good.
Locally, there’s tons to do – Tintagel’s a bit ‘touristy’ but there is a good fish and chip shop there (although everything’s cooked to order so expect a wait), a couple of mini-markets and May’s the Butchers on the High Street do THE best sausages ever (they have won national awards for them). Best local eatery by miles is The Napoleon in Boscastle (it’s not in the centre of Boscastle but at the top – very convenient for the site as it’s only about a 5 min drive away – just before you turn left for the hill down to the town) and you’re list a short drive from the fab beach at Trebarwith Strand and about half an hour from Port Isaac and Padstow.
We’ve been there 3 times this year already and are planning a 4th trip in October (all the way from North Wales) – that’s how good this place is!

Arrived in showers and wind and told to walk round site to find a pitch - good advice.
We chose a hard standing pitch on the the very edge, nothing between us and the Atlantic!
The view is outstanding, the sunset was unbelievable. Many people changed pitches to move to the front to get the views, the wardens don't mind if you change, and also advise you can pitch front in or backwards.
The permanent toilet block is a very high standard, but the top field is serviced by a portable block, which did seem to get dirty and was quite cramped.
There is no Virgin/T-mobile signal, and while we were there the engineer arrived to install the new wi-fi system.
The winds are harsh, we were impressed with our porch awning which held up fine to everything the weather threw at it, but storm straps are a must, and the winds can change within minutes.
Don't use sat nav, the CC instructions are spot on, some of the roads are very steep and twisty, so take care.
Tintagel village is lovely, no big supermarkets, but a Spar and Co-op. Massive pasties, and Tintagel Castle well worth a visit. Free wi fi in King Arthurs Arms, and decent food with great ale.
You can walk to Bossiney cove at low tide. It's a tough walk and the last bit is a half shimmy down a cliff face holding onto a rope, but fab when you get there, about 30 minutes walk with a 10 year old.
A bit confused as we thought all arrivals had to be after 12 noon, and outfits arrived all times of the morning, maybe CC need to clarify this?
Highly recommended site, may be a little remote but with those views and atmosphere I could forgive almost anything!

The best site we have ever visited here are our comments ;
1.Spotless, modern heated shower blocks, with endless hot water
2. Breath-taking veiws (not a single pitch has a bad veiw )
3. Massive pitch sizes, not a single bad pitch on the whole site.
4. Very friendly wardens, who are always out maintaining the high standard
5.Small but well stocked shop on site
6. Beautiful coastal walks (2 1/2 miles to Boscastle and Tintagel, with lots of pubs, cafe's and shops )
7. Good value for money
8. There is also a nice play park on site.

We are 2 adults and a 13 year old son, plus 2 large dogs.
This was our first visit to Trewethett, parked up outside, walked round site with map showing available pitches, I stayed at our chosen pitch, hubby brought the caravan.
Most pitches have a fantastic sea view, pitches are mainly level gravel, plenty of space. Toilet/showers are fabulous, heated and clean, spacious too. Can be a bit blowy on the cliff edge, need your storm straps on the awning, ground is very hard, broke our mallet trying to peg down!
The walk to the beach is not for the faint hearted, very steep, narrow path, first down past a river, up again, then down a not marked track to the beach. Note there is no beach when the tide is in. The last part of the track is down slate rocks and the path runs out to a rope! Not at all suitable for our two big dogs, or little children or unfit adults.
The better beach is the next one, a short drive, park in a field and a walk down a steep path to Bossiney Haven, again this disappears at high tide.
Trebarwith Strand is the most accessible beach, just past Tintagel, fab food in The Port William too, take dogs inside there.
Back to the site, the cliff path towards Boscastle has styles, so not suitable for big dogs.
Site has useful little shop selling amongst other things, cream teas - yum. There are a couple of small food stores in Tintagel with a cash point.
We had no phone reception on site, we are T/mobile.
Nice pub in Boscastle, The Cobweb, good food, family room, dogs allowed inside, car park opposite is free after 6pm.
Padstow is only half an hour drive away, go early though, otherwise no where to park. Looe is about an hour away, very quaint town that is, lots of history, excellent for crabbing as the tide comes in.
Would not recommend area if you have very small children, too rocky, sea bit rough, no playgrounds. Good for surfing. Some local roads are so narrow though, can get a bit hairy.
Lots of wildlife about, incl the resident family of Adders on site, clearly marked!

This campsite was quite difficult to find. Had a few problems when we arrived as we were informed that we did not have a booking but having produced a a booking form and reference it was grudingly acknowledged that we did have a booking.
I did not find the staff very helpful or friendly.
The shop is very small with limited supplies.
The pitches were not very well marked and where we were located the closest toilets and showers were a portable cabin (but were nice).
The view from our pitch was spectacular. However, not all pitches have a sea view, so do check before booking if this is important to you.
Tintagel and Boscastle are both fantastic places to visit about 4 miles either way.
No pubs or shops within walking distance.
The view would be the only reason I would go back to this site.

When we first arrived at this site we were told to leave our car and go on foot to look for a pitch as we wouldn't be able to turn around with the caravan on. In the caravan club book it says no arrivals before 12 noon, we got there at 12-05 and the place was packed and judging by the people who were setting up many had arrived before then.
We found a grass pitch up near the tent field as there were no hard standing left but the views we had were stunning. We put our awning up but had to take it down the next day as the wind was really bad even though the weather was really hot.
The toilet block was really nice usual cc standards but near us we had portable cabins for the toilets and showers which I thought a bit dull and dismal certainly not cc standard. The wardens were pleasant and the reception had a stock of essentials.
The walk to the beach takes about 45 mins. Only problem was anytime you went out it was quite a long drive before you got anywhere. Make sure you follow directions in cc book and don't use sat nav as some of the roads are so narrow you will probably get stuck with your caravan.

Always attempt to fit a visit to this campsite in my yearly pilgrimage to Cornwall, the seaview is perfection and is equally matched by the best sunsets I've ever seen.
The showers/toilets are well maintained although the convenience of the users isn't a priority when it comes to closing them for cleaning - no time to take it easy in the mornings if you want a shower before 'lock down'.
The tents are situated on the edge of the site allowing a perfect view of the sea and coastal path which is definitely a bonus although you need to brace yourself when the winds come blowing.
This isn't a cheap site if you're not a member of the caravan and camping club so won't stay for more than a couple of nights on principle.
