Spent a long weekend at this site early in February. As expected for the time of year, cold, wet and windy but that's not the campsites fault! I was pitched in the 'dragon' field which was quite open to the elements but the views were lovely.
I didn't use the on site bar but did a quick walk through and was impressed. The on site facilities ( toilets and showers) were immaculate and fully heated. They are locked but each camper has a key so easily accessible. They were also spotless.
The site is undergoing a lot of work, ( new tarmac, new this, new that) so they are obviously investing in the place. Security was goo, lots of CCTV and also the entrance was controlled by a pneumatic bollard system so very secure.

I took my family to this site after being told by a friend in work good it is. I can't say enough to verify this point; very friendly staff, clean throughout, free heated shower block, indoor swimming pool, fishing lake and a beautiful spot too.
Food and drink is reasonably priced in the bars, they are building an indoor play area for the youngsters as well.
The place has a really good feel to it, and a good night to look out for in the family room is Courtney's Quiz, really good fun!

Had a very good week here, good campsite, with clean well looked after facilities. Club house very handy after a day out, food good and entertainment on most nights.
Would recommend another toilet/shower block if the site grows any bigger, not because it was busy but due to the location, we had to walk through 2 fields! Our electric hook up point didn't work, which we didn't realise for a few days, but this didn't spoil our holiday. Marvellous for bike riders of all ages.
Good location to visit the Gower or to go further down West Wales. Would visit again.

This is a fantastic site with friendly staff. Stunning views over the estuary and excellent access to millennium coastal path for cycling or walking.
Site security is very good as there is a bollard in the middle of the entrance, so access is almost impossible drive on to the site without going into reception for a releasing fob.
The toilet block and showers are the best I have ever seen and are cleaned regularly to a High standard.
Trostre retail park is a 5 minute drive which has tesco, morrisons, and asda so no having to pay for overpriced items. Also there is starbucks, frankie and bennys plus the usual next, m&s,boots and a few more to name.
Entertainment is of a high standard and the drinks are reasonably priced.

This is a lovely site with good facilities. The clubhouse is lovely, food was fantastic and good value. Drinks are reasonably priced. Small games room for the kids which was ample. My children are quite young so as the park is across the road from the entrance I didn't feel it was safe for them, the road in and out can get quite busy. The pool is lovely, warm and clean and although you do have to pay its reasonably priced and the changing rooms are clean and warm with good showers. Staff are really helpful and always polite and friendly.
I do think that the shower facilities are not what they could be, they are very clean but you had to run around in the shower to get wet as there's just not enough pressure and with the kids it was quite cramped in the cubicles and there was no-where dry to get them changed which made things difficult. There are only 2 sinks for the entire campsite to wash dishes etc at so had to wait around a lot which was a shame.
There were a lot of youngsters the weekend we went and they did play quite loud music at times but all credit to the security team, they were there within minutes to tell them to turn it down. There were also a lot of young children wondering about til quite late, but I know this is the responsibility of the parents not the campsite.
Overall its a lovely site, well kept with good, friendly service. We will definitely go back, there's loads to see and do in the area too, the wetlands centres is within walking distance, the cycle path runs all along the coast, there's a fab shopping centre a few minutes drive away in trostre too. Would recommend a visit~!

This is a lovely site with friendly staff. Entertainment is of a high standard and the drinks are very reasonably priced. Stunning views over the estuary and excellent access to millennium coastal path for cycling or walking.
Two points which let the site down are the state of the roads / paths really need to tarmac would make dramatic difference and the position of the children's play area is a bit precarious as its just outside main entrance.
There are plenty of upsides though. Toilets and showers are cleaned regularly. Would definitely recommend this site. Also its a 4 minute drive to Trostre retail park (the biggest I've seen) which has tesco morrisons and asda so no having to pay for overpriced items.

I stayed on this site easter weekend. It was so clean and well looked after. The toilet block and shower was the best maintainted I have ever seen. High standard.
The club house was clean and not very expensive. Kids club was good for all ages. The swimming pool opened that weekend. Had 2 pay. There is also a fishing lake on site.
The onsite cooking is very nice, breakfast is excellent value for money at £3.25 adults meal. Site security is very good as there is a bollard in the middle of the entrance, so access is almost impossible drive on to the site without going into reception for releasing fob.
We will be going back to site soon as we can get a seasonal pitch on site

Stayed on this site for the new years event, after it being recommended by a friend. The lady in reception was very helpful and we were then shown to our pitch which was very tidy and had lovely views. We were impressed with the new toilet and shower block, which was free and always clean.
The kids club is great for the under 12's and kept our 2 entertained for most of the evening. There was entertainment for all interest, and I enjoyed the bingo! The new years eve event was very good with good entertainment, a buffet and fireworks.
As a family we cant wait to go back in the summer when the new pool is open!

My partner and I stayed on this site over the New Year, and I must say we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We arrived to be greeted with a smile which is one thing you don’t get from most campsites. During our stay we tried to take part in most of the activities going on. The grandchildren loved the kids club, while we enjoyed “the quiz of the year” which was entertaining. But the highlight for us was the New Years celebration which was excellent. I was told that the toilet and shower block had been recently opened and was very clean, a good sign. With clean surroundings, cheap beer, great food and friendly staff we will be returning to the Gateway. 100%. If only there were more campsites like this.

Arrived on a friday night after booking what we thought was a hard standing. In actual fact was a gravel area at side of permanently sited tourers. There was dog mess all over the grass where we wanted to put up our awning. It really looked like travellers site. The club house was clean and people friendly. After thinking about leaving we took the dog for a walk and found the most fantastic empty field overlooking the estuary. You would not believe this belonged to the same site. We made arrangement to move first thing on the Saturday morning. This changed the whole stay we had a fantastic day riding our bikes down the cycle path to bury port and enjoyed fabulous weather. Sunday lunch in the club house was a delight this is an excellent site if you like to play bingo in the club house and want to join in with all the seasonal tourer clientèle.
