We have stayed here a couple of times as the kids enjoy it so much.
It seems to be a quite windy site but you can't stop nature being British. The site has the millenium coastal path along side it which is fantastic for easy and safe cycling.
There is a pub that serves food and is really friendly and seems to be open to a lot of local people.
There is a play area that does need a review of its positioning as children do need to cross the vehicle entrance to the site.
The toilet/shower block is clean and well kept.
The sites main downfall is its roads and paths which are very uneven and could be a bit dangerous on the ankles after dark.
Overall though think basic and think about a site where you go to relax by having fun and meet regular people.

We visited for one night and the weather was pleasantly hot and sunny. The site has numerous touring caravans which appear to be permanently pitched, so although it looks busy, there weren't a lot of people around. Our dog had plenty of freedom to run and exercise around the site, which included a well maintained cycle track very close by, over looking the estuary with beautiful views.
The pitches felt very crowded and all vehicles are pitched quite close together, with no freedom to chose location. Our pitch included EHU, although this involved throwing our lead over a 6ft bush behind out vehicle to join the caravans on the next row. We were given limited direction on MH facilities, such as fresh water, or toilet waste points - the girl on reception had limited knowledge of the site or facilities.
The site generally looks under construction and quite rough at the entrance. It has a good basic toilet/ shower block - but this was very close to the public pathway and needed to be opened by key only. This toilet / shower block location was very dark and felt unsafe for a female on her own - I needed my husband to wait for me in order to feel safe. I would definitely not use this facility at night. The alternative option was to use the toilets in the main bar. (Not suitable if you are wearing pyjamas though!)
Washing up facilities were very basic and of a poor condition - with only one large sink available for the whole site.
Generally,we had a good time for a mid week break and nice walks, but can imagine the site being over-run with small children and a roudy clubhouse at other times.

A lovely clean reasonably priced site, well equipped playground for the kids, friendly staff. Small shop but it was stocked with the basics. Toilet/shower block was accessed with a key and was kept clean and showers were lovely and hot. We stayed on the rally field that had wonderful views but got quite windy, there were great walks to be had along the cycle path ideal for dogs and using up energy for the kids. Club didn't open every night which disappointed the kids and there was no sign of a swimming pool as yet. We had a great time at this site but had to cut our stay short due to the weather but we would definitely return.

Stayed in one of the two statics on the site for a family visit.
Location is good, with easy access to coast and town attractions. Easy access to walk along coast path with stunning Gower views. Can walk to WWT visitor centre (about 1/2 hour).
Very busy with tourers during our visit, most of whom seemed to be booked for season. Seemed to be quite close together on hard standings, compared to my usual Camping / Caravanning club sites.
Few tents in a field that seemed soggy - but then the weather had been quite wet.
Loud entertainment on Fri / Sat night, with lots of kids running around into the night so not a site if you value peace and quiet! Didn't use the clubhouse facilities, so can't comment on food / entertainment etc.
Cannot comment on toilet facilities as didn't need to use. However, rubbish bins on site often overflowing
I would visit again just because the location is very convenient for our needs, but wouldn't have liked the site if booked for our holiday - but this is more because tend to favour sites with minimal facilities / quiet sites.

This must be the shortest stay in history. Arrived 2.45pm 8th August - departed 3.00pm 8th August! You enter via a badly laid 'navvy tarmac' road - over an unmanned level crossing and follow the signs for Llanelli Dogs home. You are stopped from entering via a huge electronic bollard. Dogs are able to roam freely and the children's play park compete with ancient fairground rides and bouncy castle was actually off the site. The pitches were surrounded by broken tarmac to represent gravel and packed side to side and back to back.

Upon arrival we discovered that we had to pay £5 deposit which we were not told of before hand.
The campsite does not cater for the disabled.
The bar was flooded and there didn't appear to be any form of pumping system. No caution signs for wet floors apart from in the toilets.
On Sunday morning the shower block had been locked at 12pm and nobody was able to use their key to unlock them.
The shower blocks were nice and clean and the dogs had plenty of space to run around.
The children's park was not the safest as the children were climbing over the barriers and running across the entrance to the camp. The playground would be better if it was moved closer to the family bar.
It was handy having the cash machine in the bar. The retail park was about 30 minutes walk away with Morrisons, Curry's, Pets at Home etc basically everything you need.
The beach was about 2 minutes walk away and the dogs loved it there.

Decided on this site as it states they allow dogs and it would be our first with our sheepdog, and its only 10 miles from home in case it didn't work out.
Anyway, upon arrival it couldn't be simpler, give them a fiver deposit for the key and then pitch where ever in the tent field.
Amazingly we were the only tents in this field so the dog had nearly 2 acres to run in.
The Bar/restaurant is like something you would find at Butlins or Haven, but not overpriced and flooded with immigrant workers.
There is a cash point in the bar also making those last minute drinking sessions go a bit smoother.
Ample beer garden, and the games room is perfect as it is small so you don't have the kids coming back every 5 minutes asking for more money.
Sky Sports and lots of big screens make missing the big game impossible.
I cant say about the evening entertainment as we have small easily tired children.
The showers were sparkling and free, very hot and I think there were 6.
Now the only thing that let it down for me were the toilet facilities, they were sparkling when we arrived on the Friday night, but by the morning were in a dreadful state, not the owners fault but the irresponsible residents who cant aim straight with their number 2's.
The Sunday morning I couldn't use 3 of the toilets as they were out of paper, one was occupied and the last was awash with vomit.
Unfortunately they have been let down by the lack of early morning toilet inspections/cleaning, if that is sorted then I think this site could possibly be the best site we've been to that has so much on offer.
Will be going back as soon as I get more time off.

Just got back from this campsite found staff very helpful. New toilet and shower block is finished on the inside and to a very high standard, also the access to the shower and toilet block has been finished there are steps and a ramp for easy access.
Found site very clean and well laid out with nice large pitches. There is a swimming pool being built and the owners are hoping that it will be finished by the end of july. The children's play ground is great for small children as well as older one and is placed next to the pub and is visible from the patio so you can have a drink and watch your children play at the same time, they also have security cameras there. The site is only a 2 min walk from the millennium coastal path which is a lovely walk. The pub is nice and large with a small games room for the children and adults there is an adults only bar that is open in the evenings, the family bar is open from morning till late at night and serves very good food at good prices the entertainment is one of the best I have seen and have booked to return to this site for whitson and the summer holidays This is one of the best sites that I have been to, they also have a small shop on site for the basics but are adding to it all the time also they are the cheapest site in the area so you do get a lot for your money.

This is the 2nd time I have visited this site, once last year and now in april 2009. They have improved the site with a new toilet and shower block which has ample amount of toilets and showers, also the coarse fishing lake is open to fish but yet to fit platforms and also in the middle of finishing the indoor swimming pool. Great clubhouse with bingo and entertainment, great views over looking the gower estuary, I have no problems at all with this site and can only see it getting better has facilities progress, would recommend

Decide to visit this site following reviews on this site, sadly I wish I hadn't.
As MicketB stated the lady in reception is very vague, charged me for my visit and didn't think to hire me a token for the security bar/
The bar facilities are good and the adult bar has now opened. But that's about all the good bits.
The children's play area is alongside the entrance barrier and the kids use the barrier as a play thing, they also run across the road to get to the family bar. So be careful when entering or you may run over one of the little darlings ! For safety reasons I think the playground should be moved to the rear of the park.
The new toilet facilities are far from finished and are urgently needed as the facilities in the clubhouse are pathetic. Overflowing shower trays, toilets that don't flush, toilets [2] are in the clubhouse so the facilities are overrun at times.
The whole site is in need of some serious maintenance as it has a very neglected look to it.If the owner restricted this site to 2 fields and done some cosmetic work to the pitches, it could be a good site.
