We chose this site because of the excellent reviews it had. It is in a beautiful location with stunning views all around. The field is on a slight slope but we pitched at the bottom which is quite flat. Shower, toilet and sink room all clean and very spacious. Small kitchen with fridge, freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster which was useful as our gas ran out in the late evening. It was a nice touch having the free loan of a fire pit. All in all a nice site if you want a quiet time. Mary and family are all very friendly. Would be nice if they had a little shop selling basics and a few goodies! Would definitely visit again.

What a fantastic week. A wonderful welcome and choice of pitches! Amazing views, spotless facilities (never seen better) and surrounded by well cared for animals!
A safe place for children to play, very well thought out campsite with a huge amount of space. As owners Mary and Steve have prioritized a relaxed experience they have limited the number of pitches on their site, which makes it special.
My ten month old son loved visiting the animals and seeing the tractors, he slept well, listening to Molly the horse cantering around him and bleating sheep.
Sitting around the fire pits, provided for each site, is a wonderful way to end the day seeing the other fire flickering far away gives a real sense of the space this site offers.
This site is so special I hope it remains just as it is, which Mary assured us is her aim.
Thank you for a wonderful holiday, can't wait to return.

As other reviewers have said I was a little reluctant to leave a review in case the site get booked up when we want to go! A fantastic site with great views of the Shropshire countryside. The owners were really friendly and welcoming. Despite being really busy with lambing when we were there they were happy to chat.
Despite putting the tent up in the snow(!) the weather settled after that and we had a lovely relaxing time. Being allowed to have campfires using their fire pits was great when the nights got chilly.
Facilities were good although you do walk across the farmyard to get to them. We stopped to chat with the pig that lives in a pen near the showers, a big hit with kids!
Can't recommend the site enough. It is on a working farm and is off the beaten track, but surroundings are beautiful.
Will go back again.

Well once again the info and reviews found on the UKCampsite.co.uk provided us with a great site for a camping holiday.
The previous reviewers have stated the many great things about this site and I cannot add further.
I agree that the site is on a slope but we found that taking some time to walk the field provided us the opportunity to find a fairly level spot.
The drive up to the farm can be daunting and as it is a working farm the farmyard is a bit of an adventure so if you have a low slung car or exhaust take great care.
Overall a great site and Steve,Mary and not forgetting the dog and Pig made our stay a memorable one.

This is one of those sites that I almost don't want to review in case next time I go people are queuing at the gates - what a wonderful site.
Amazing views for miles around, good facilities, friendly and helpful owners, short 20min walk to the pub in nearby Bishops Castle. This place has everything going for it.
Spent a lovely couple of nights huddled round a fire watching the stars - felt like we were in the middle of nowhere in almost complete darkness.
Really is an amazing setting – the Shropshire Way goes right through the farm, the Kerry Ridgeway is within spitting distance to the north and Offa’s Dyke is only a couple of miles away to the west.
The surrounding countryside is littered with public footpaths so you could easily spent a week exploring and could happily spend another week just enjoying the farm, its animals and the views. Perfect!

We have just spent 4 relaxing days here, and thoroughly recommend it.
While we were there the owners were very busy with lambing, but were still cheerful and helpful. My daughter loved seeing the newborn lambs and was very excited that she actually saw one being born.
There was a cacophony of noise in the mornings, cows mooing, sheep baaing, and the birds singing!
On the last night we had the field all to our selves!
This is a working farm in the true sense of the word, and the toilets are situated over the farmyard. Not sure what this would be like in the wet, but we had lovely dry weather. Bathrooms were very nice, and I liked the idea of having the toilet shower and sink all together, but it was a tad cold showering in April as there is no heating!
Overall, a lovely peaceful break in beautiful surroundings. The only slight fault I can find is that the field we were in had quite a significant slope, although it does have flat areas which we were lucky enough to get, for those on the slope it was a night of sliding off their airbeds! The owner did explain that normally the tents are spread around different fields, but as it was lambing she needed to use just one field for tents.
Will definitely go back!

Wonderful campsite in a fantastic location. It was lovely to sit outside the tent and watch lambs being born! The views from the campsite are beautiful.
The owners of the site were very friendly and helpful. One of the perks was having a full English breakfast in the farmhouse the morning we left. The facilities are clean and spacious, with a bonus of a toaster, kettle, fridge and freezer.
The surrounding area is ideal for walking, with the Shropshire Way running right through the site. Bishops Castle is a lovely little town with unique shops and a pub for all tastes (make sure you book a table if you want to eat at The Three Tuns or The Castle Hotel). There are also plenty of places to visit, including Stiperstones, Shrewsbury and Ludlow Castle.
The only drawback of the site was the signposting, as our satnav took us to Upper Woodbatch Farm not Middle. We needed to follow Woodbatch Road not Kerry Lane.
Overall it was a pleasure to stay at Middle Woodbatch Farm.

Just fantastic. An unbelievable view in an idyllic rural location. If you want nightlife however then this is not the place to visit.
It is located around 1.5 miles from the small local town down a narrow lane.
The big plus point for the location is however the quiet. Other than visitors to the B&B or the campsite then you do not hear a car!
If you enjoy tranquil and beautiful countryside then this site will take some beating.
Spotless and modern toilets and showers combined with a well fitted kitchen (microwave, fridge, freezer and plenty of hot water) make the experience comfortable.
The owners of the site are charming, informative and friendly.
My only reservation in leaving such a positive review is that I won't get a pitch the next time I want to visit!

We visited Middle Woodbatch with our two daughters age 4 and 6 and had a glorious time in the Shropshire Hills.
The site is on a gentle slope, but the views more than made up for this slight inconvenience.
The two shower/toilet rooms were great. They were clean and comfortable, with a bench in one and plenty of hooks in both rooms. There were fresh flowers, clean towels and plenty of toilet rolls. The washing up area was great too. Again clean and there was loads of very hot water. There was also a fridge and freezer as well as a kettle, toaster and microwave. My husband was able to make toast every morning to go with our bacon and eggs. Great! There were only about 10 tents at any time meaning there was plenty of space for my children to charge about in and they soon made friends with the other camping families which was lovely.
Bishops Castle is a sweet village and we had a fabulous piece of cake and coffee in the Italian style coffee shop (I can't remember the name but it is on the left at the top of the hill, opposite the 'music pub'). We also visited the Shropshire discovery centre (interesting but a little overpriced to visit the exhibition bit) and Clun where the children had a great time climbing up to the castle ruins.
We had only travelled from an hour away and so the site was the most important factor for us and Middle Woodbatch ticked all the boxes. It was utterly beautiful and peaceful, very welcoming, and well priced. We have had the most relaxing time and I feel I have been away for two weeks!
The farm animals, birds and wildlife were fantastic too. We will be going back!
My only very small point is that a separate toilet would have been useful for the mornings. If a family was washing in both of the shower rooms it could mean a longish wait.

We have just returned from this idyllic spot and can only endorse other people's rave reviews. The views from this site are spectacular, especially when the morning mist rises from the valleys between Bishop's Castle and The Long Mynd - it takes your breath away. Due to the wet weather before we arrived, and for our first couple of days, we were asked not to drive on the fields - or if we drove down to set up camp, to leave our cars for Steve to tow off with the quad bike so that we didn't churn up the site. This meant that it was extra peaceful as there was no 'traffic' coming to and fro - a definite plus.
The other treat was having the electric kettle, toaster and microwave - it allowed us to cheat a bit. A tip is to put the kettle on en route to the shower and enjoy your morning cuppa without wrestling with a camp stove. The height of idleness! Many thanks for a lovely time.
