What an idyllic site! Ok, no electricity, TV, or even radio signal (we eventually got some news on long wave), but that makes it even more special I think!
Loos and showers superb, although only 2 each.
There is so much room for camping that you can be as friendly or private as you like.
Perched on the end of the island it can be windy, but the scenery makes up for any inconvenience.
Unfortunately we were only able to stay 2 nights, but certainly plan to return as soon as we can.

We stayed here the previous year and came back again for a longer stay in 2012. The location is stunning we pitched our tent and had amazing views of the sea and Iona. The wind did pick up one some nights but our tent could withstand the battering! The facilities were clean and modern. The village is a bit of a walk so we brought our bikes which got us to the local pub in no time! I like the fact you can pitch up where you like and it is a laid back campsite. The place was quiet on the night time. During the day there are plenty of walks on your doorstep or the rest of mull to explore in your car.

Stunning site. You can pitch where you want, the campsite is fairly windy but it keeps the midges away. Toilets, showers and washing up facilities very clean.
We intended on staying for a few days but ended up staying longer. At £6. 00 per person per night it is fantastic value. Amazing sunsets and wildlife, there is always something to look at.
We pitched right on the edge of the coast, perfect to launch our sea kayaks from. Lots of walking in the area.
The ferry to Iona leaves from the local village along with a boat trip to Staffa to see Fingles cave.
Local pub serves a good selection of meals and there is a small well stocked shop for groceries. Best Campsite on Mull.

What a fantastic place. We parked our motorhome right next to the beach. In a way we had our own section of private beach.
Cows and sheep were everywhere.
Its about a mile walk to the village with pub and basic shops there.
The 2 hour drive from the ferry on single track roads is not too bad as there are plenty of passing places. We were in a 20ft motorhome.
The site is dog friendly, although you obviously have to keep watch to make sure no sheep are chased.
If anyone wants pictures, send me a PM.
Forgot to mention, bargain price of £6 per person. The cost of the ferry was £105 for a motorhome and 2 people.

Fidden Farm is a beautiful campsite in a remote location. It's cheap, friendly and largely unsupervised, and choosing a pitch is entirely up to the camper. The ground takes tent pegs easily and holds firm - just as well as it's exposed and can get windy.
The toilet and shower facilities provided are excellent, however, there are not quite enough of them - 2 showers and 2 loos in the ladies resulted in long queues at certain times.
However, there was plenty of hot water and they were kept very clean.
The site does not have a shop, but there is one within walking distance, near to the pier from which the ferry sails to Iona, where there is also a pub.
A lovely place.

Just returned from here. Intended moving around the island but didn't as we were so happy here.
Views amazing with ability to pitch anywhere. Very quiet site - no noise at night or early morning disturbance.
Really appreciated this. Facilities were excellent - very clean too. We backpacked arriving via Bowmans coaches.
Did some lovely walks from the site and found amazing beaches in both directions from the site.
Ate in the Keel View a couple of times - locals very friendly too. Iona is worth a visit and there is a new campsite there too.
Would go back tomorrow!

Absolutely stunning location, right next to the shore with a gorgeous sandy beach, the dogs loved it. Amazing views all round. The site is on a working farm and you do meet cows and sheep at times.
The toilet block is nice, modern facilities and warm water at all times, only 2 showers and toilets in each.
There are no marked pitches, you can pitch where you want in the large field, just be careful of the wind! There are a few sheltered spots, but if you don’t go for these just make sure you have some strong guy ropes. We didn’t see any midges at this site (unlike others on the island), maybe this was due to the wind, but also the location as there is not too much vegetation around.
It is a 20 minute ish walk to catch the ferry to Iona which is worth a visit.
As said in previous reviews, a perfect place to chill out, no modern day distractions - no tv reception, no mobile signal (on Orange), no internet, and all this for £6 per adult per night!

We stayed here for two nights. The chap was friendly and said to pitch up wherever we fancied. We were right next to the beach, which wonderful views and a lovely sunset. The wind.Oh the wind.It was very very very windy while we were there, well done to those in tents who stuck it out!
The shop and pub in the village are walkable. If going to the Spar, take a bag as they are very reluctant to give you a carrier, so go prepared unless you are happy to beg. I ended up giving a donation to charity in return for the bag but happy to do so.
There is also a second hand book stall in a garage, money goes to RNLI, lots of books and a good variety.
We took the ferry to Iona which was lovely.
The showers and toilets look fairly recent and were great! Clean and powerful.
The farm dogs appeared to be friendly, one approached me, having dogs, I know how to approach unfamiliar dogs, all was going well when the dog, changed his mind and snapped at me. So possibly just better to ignore them.
This site would have been perfect if the wind had been less. Certainly worth the long drive to get there.

Hi, me & My dog, Porridge have just got back from camping on Mull & Iona.
We camped at Fidden Farm campsite. The most beautiful setting ever, right on the beach, overlooking Iona ! Great new shower block, spotlessly clean with loads of hot water. Met loads of great folk, even the weather was hot & sunny. All well worth the £6 per person per night. 10/10,I must go back there !

A beautiful site in a remote location. No frills really but adequate hot water in the showers. As others have said you do have to queue for washing up etc. Owners very friendly but just let everyone get on with it, no wardens or checking on people here. You just drive up check in, and camp wherever you like. We were lucky and got a beautiful spot just up from the beach. No midges either but that is probably due to the wind. Very exposed and therefore windy, probably better in a camper. Also quite a long drive from Craignure etc and not that much to see (castles etc) at this side of the island. Pub ok, not far to walk but I found a bit of plastic in meal. Maybe just bad luck.
