What an amazing site! price not at all cheeky, was pretty busy when we were there but the standard of clientèle meant it was not at all noisy or uncomfortable. Could definitely do with another 2 washing up sinks to cope with busy times and another couple of showers/loos, but other than that you'll have to go to the ends of the earth to find anything as special as this place, views stunning.
Will be back may many times!

We came to Fidden Farm after reading the reviews on UKCampsite.co.uk and the site fulfilled all our expectations of a wild and beautiful setting.
We took extra tent pegs as advised but had no problems with high winds during our stay and a sea breeze kept off the midges. The shore line was crowded with tents and camper vans as this was the peak of the summer season but there were several acres of flat, sheep nibbled grass to choose from inland.
We chose to pitch our tent against the boundary fence and could hear only sea birds and sheep at night rather than our human neighbours. As a result we were so far from the toilets we took to cycling there, and a potty was useful at night!
The toilets and showers were clean and tidy despite being almost constantly in use. The facilities were certainly limited for the number of people on the site but the queues were good natured and we never had to wait long for toilets or wash up, nor did the hot water run out. I washed my children down in the tent with water from the kettle and the washing up bowl which they thought as much a novelty as cycling to the loo.
There is no conventional playground but my children loved climbing on the rocks and playing on their bikes. The pink granite reefs and white sand are stunning and wonderful to explore in a kayak or small boat.
There is a Post Office and general store in Fionnaphort which crams a lot of stock into a small space, but be early to get fresh produce. We visited the Abbey on Iona and took a boat trip to Staffa but it's a site to relax on and be untroubled by phonecalls or the need to be any where in particular.

The best site we've visited, if you need lots of loos and sinks go to a site and pay for it. Mull is beautiful it takes all day to drive around, Fidden is not well placed for Tobermory but this is not a problem. The fish and chip van at Tobermory is top notch we think Tobermory is overated. The Isle of Iona is worth a trip for the abbey alone. You will truly unwind at Fidden it will leave you wanting more. Dog owners should note that there are endless walks from the site but you will be sharing with sheep and cattle. Well done on the new facilities.

Just returned from 2 weeks on this lovely site. Location great, views great but very busy for the utilities provided. Plenty of camping space though. New toilet block but only 2 loo's in each and no urinals in the mens. Had to queue every time I went to the loo except late night or early morning. One washing up sink only so again queue's are long. We reckoned that there were about 60 units on site so about 180 people sharing 4 loos, one washing up sink and 4 showers. (Again 2 in each). I got to meet a lot of folk in queue's!
Admittedly a lot of the caravans will have been self contained of course so I guess won't all be using utilities.
Personally I didn't mind as the location etc was worth it but if you don't like the idea of not being able to use the loo when needed (sometimes queuing for 15 minutes or more)or having to queue to wash dishes in the only sink then you may want to think twice before going. Also remember no electric (thank goodness).
If you don't mind roughing it a bit and getting a bit smelly then you'll love this place.
Not that I'm trying to put folk off of course.

The most beautiful campsite ever! The beach looks like somewhere in the Caribbean and the sunsets are worth the trip alone. Excellent facilities, new shower block, freezer available.
Great location for walking, cycling, ferry to Iona and relaxing. The Keel Row pub is a 25 minute walk and serves great, fresh, hot food.Nothing fancy. Site is mostly flat and quite exposed to bring lots of tent pegs if you are camping but it's definitely worth it.
Fidden Farm has a wonderfully laid back atmosphere and you can't help but chill here. Stunning place and we cant wait to go back.

What a wonderful campsite in the most beautiful location.
Exposed site, not much shelter but we found a level spot in a bit of a dip near the far end of the campsite.
Really impressed with the facilities - clean & tidy. There is a freezer available, just inside the door of the men's facilities!
Nice pub, great place to sit and watch the world go by.
We used our pushbikes loads during the 4 days we were here. We also took them on the ferry to Iona and spent a wonderful day pootling around the almost traffic free lanes. Quenched our thirst in the pub whilst trying to decide which ferry to get back!
Would love to come back for a longer spell.Great sunsets as well. Really chilled out place.

As everyone else has said, this is a stunning location with fantastic views. However we were there for the May bank holiday weekend and it was very busy - we even witnessed pitch rage between a neighbouring Welsh couple and some Germans who set up a little too close just so they could have a direct view of the sea too. The site is listed as 40 pitches, our lad counted 98 'units' when we got there (pup tents outside caravans etc were counted as one) and more kept arriving over the w/e! When you have 2 men's loos, 2 men's showers and the same for women, with several hundred people (Most 'units' were families) on a site, it gets a little congested. We ended up taking showers at night to minimise the queue time. It was commonplace to see men peeing on the large boulders near the wash block as the queue to the loos was so long. Not a problem for me, but where were the girls meant to go? Either more sanitary facilities, restrict the numbers on site to a sensible number or forewarn people that the site can get jammed.

Lovely weather - dry, warm, no wind, some sun but mainly overcast. The most beautiful setting ever - the location on the beach at Fidden is stunning.
The facilities were excellent - new shower / toilet block, short walk from camping areas. Very quiet and peaceful location. About a 20 minute brisk walk into Fionnphort, pub was fine, food was good at lunchtime.
Loads to do in this area if you like walking - or sea-kayaking. I would definitely want to return to this campsite.

Our 6th visit to this site and good to see that last year's improved facilities ie. toilet and shower units are in perfect condition. If you can make the journey across the island you are well rewarded the site is fabulous.
You may need to be prepared to be self sufficient it's quite a way to the shop at Fionophort but don't forget to visit the RNLI shop there

Could only stay one night because it was the end of our touring holiday, but saved the best till last. What a fantastic place so much room with stunning views. Facilities are top notch. Not far from village a bike is ideal for getting around the local area. Loved it so much going back may 2010 for a longer stay. Good location for visiting Iona. Only down side, it is an exposed location so pick a pitch with this in mind.
