Can't get lower than 2005! I have visited this cracking little site many times when I have missed the last ferry for Iona in the 60's and 70's.
If its basic your after then this is it. It has a wee toilet block (portacabin) for the men and another for the woman. Access to running water and somewhere to empty the 'potty'. Thats it.
Still, it certainly makes up for it though in its location. Wake up to the roar of the Atlantic and if you've a good pair of specs you might see the Statue of Liberty (only joking).
Its a very open site and there is nothing on it apart from the above. It is a cheap place to stay if you want to go and visit Iona (short ferry ride). Iona is a must to see. St. Columba landed there in 563a.D and founded the abbey which was fully restored by Lord George MacLoed in 1948.
Only one pub in the area the 'Keel Row'. Has a cracking restuarant and cosy little bar. With some of the finest local music played there it makes a good night out. There is a post office cum shop.
Alternatively, you can go back to Bunesson (approx 5 miles) and there is a good pub there too with late shopping as well.
Just be careful crossing Mull though as it is mostly single track roads and oh. Mind the midges. Having said that there are not many there as it can be breezy for the most part.
