This is a very clean, well-run site in a peaceful rural location and handy for the Yorkshire coast. We are new to touring and got a warm welcome from the staff. There is a good facilities block which is immaculately clean, all pitches are super pitches and the whole site looks very well cared-for. There are pubs serving decent food in Brandesburton and Leven, and the attractions of Beverley, Bridlington, Hornsea and Hull are all within easy reach.
One of the reasons we chose the site was that it is adults only but during our stay we noticed that children were entering and leaving some of the static caravans. The website definitely says it is strictly adults only and so do the boards at the entrance. So for this reason although we enjoyed our stay we won't be making a return visit.

Management response: We'd like to respond regarding the comments saying the reviewer had seen children on our park. We were unaware of this and have spoken to our patrons. Apparently a couple who had just bought a new holiday home on the park had their grown up children to see the new van. They had their child with them. In total they were there for 10 minutes. Our main attraction for tourers is the fact we are adult only, and would like to point out it was a one off event. |

Just returned from a two night stay at this park where we received a friendly welcome. The park is immaculately maintained and well set out. We appreciated the big size pitches (we have 27ft american 5th wheeler) and the showers and toilet block are lovely and clean. Great site for relaxing and chilling out. It was very peaceful and quiet and just a 15 minute walk to Brandesburton where we had a lovely meal in the Black Swan pub. Just one complaint - the only waste and recycling bins are situated at the main gate which is quite a distance from the touring park.

Just returned home after a 4 nights stay we have used this site every year so far and it a little gem.
I can highly recommend this site all hard standing fully service pitches(Electric hook up, Tap, & Waste & Awning) Very clean Toilet Block/ Disabled with plenty of hot water's for showers. Laundry room immaculate with a small collection of books.
The warden is very friendly and helpful like the owners. You can ask for and earlier arrival and a late departure. If you book another booking while you are there they will give you a 5% discount.
They are now having Static Homes near the front but still a long way from the main road you can pick and buy and connections are included in the price.
Close to the site are good food pubs and a really good Fish & Chip Shop.
Hornsea, Freeport, Beverley are about six miles and Bridlington is a bit futher there are some great garden centres near by.
The one thing is we still think you need a dustbin area near the Touring park at present it on your way out at the entrance. Apart from that this site is great.

Just returned from a two day visit to this lovely park, and all I can say is. Absolutely fab, a warm and friendly welcome as soon as we arrived from both the owner and the warden, we were given lots of brochures of places to visit, and the park itself is immaculately maintained from the big sized super pitches, to the showers and toilet block again lovely and clean, the peace and quiet on the park is so therapeutic the only down side is. We didn't stay for longer, a short ride into beverley is well worth a visit as is brandesburton where we had a lovely meal in the black swan pub, can't wait to return again in august (fingers crossed). A big thank you blue rose from robert & cheryl emery.

Received a very warm welcome from the warden. Easy access to the site, really well set out. Spacious hardstanding pitches with electric, water and waste on each. Heated Shower block very clean and fresh. Lots to do in the area with the reception providing leaflets for days out and walks around about.
Brandesburton a short walk away with a good pub Dacre Arms who has really good value meals and real ale, a Chinese takeaway, post office, supermarket and a fish and chip restaurant and takeaway. (Need to book a table in the restaurant) Best we have tasted in a long while + another pub White Swan.
A bit further away is a walk to Leven where you can walk down the canal or you can leave your car at the New Inn pub also a nature reserve.
Hornsea, Freeport and Beverley 15 mins by car
We will definitely be visiting this site again this year.

We stayed at this site for three nights, my, my, what a find, the site was very clean and well laid out, we just could not fault it. The staff are very friendly and always on hand to give advice. You have a choice of eating places but we found the Black Swan was our favorite. We are going again in July, just cant wait. 10 out of 10. We were close to Hornsea, Beverley, Bridlington. The Saturday market is well worth a visit at Beverley. :-)

Just returned home after a 3 night stay here after having picked up our new caravan, we needed somewhere close to home to try it out. When we arrived at Blue Rose we had a warm welcome from the warden who was very helpful. Our pitch was hardstanding and level and had lovely open country views. Lots of seasonal pitches taken with tourers and as it is early season, not many people were around.
Toilet/shower/washing up facilities were immaculate and there was even a small 'library' area with books and CD's to borrow or exchange.
Each pitch had its own electric hook-up, water tap and drainage.
The only small suggestion we would make is that some dustbins could be
placed nearer the facilities which would be more convenient as at present they are situated at the entrance to the Site which is a bit of a walk with rubbish, etc.
Whilst being a lovely rural site, it is close to the villages of Leven and Brandesburton (within 15-20 mins walk) and on a bus route to nearby Hornsea and Beverley.
We had an evening bar meal in the Dacre Arms pub in Brandesburton which had good home cooked food at reasonable prices which we would happily recommend to others and whilst it was a chilly February night, the pub was warm and had a cosy feel to it. They have 'theme' nights for food on a Friday. I. E. Thai, Chinese, Greek etc.
All in all we would definitely recommend the Blue Rose site to caravanners and motor homers. (no tents allowed) and strictly no children under the age of 18, even as visitors, so a very 'grown up' and peaceful retreat.

Nice welcome from the site manager who directed us on to our pitch.
All pitches are all weather/all season pitches. Touring pitches are mixed in with the seasonal pitches. Parking was a little tight but we managed.
Very nice walks to the local villages, Leven and Brandsburton.
Toilet block was adequate for us but the toilets in the ladies might be a little small for the more well proportioned individuals.
All in all a very relaxing stay

We arrived at Blue Rosé caravan site and was very warmly welcomed by the owner and the warden. It was only our second trip out with our beloved Teardrop caravan, we were obvious novices but thoroughly enjoyed our experience; which was made special by the people on the site. We were on our way for tea when a kind gentleman stopped in his car to direct us. We had a lovely 15 minute walk to the Dacre Arms The food was so nice we returned there to eat the next night.
The site is immaculate and the owners are obviously proud. The shower block is immaculate. We stayed on site number 15 and would love to return to the Blue Rosé caravan site soon.

What a fabulous site, a credit to the owner, nice size pitches and the amenities are clean and tidy. Very friendly site manager terry. We got lost and he helped us find our way. Lovely area to look out on to fields, makes a change from brick walls and other caravans. We only visited for one night but we would certainly recommend it to anyone wishing peace and quiet and a warm friendly atmosphere. Well done
