This was the first time we'd used this site - won't be our last. What a calm, peaceful site it is - well laid out and well maintained, secure, gated entrance and extremely pleasant, helpful staff.
We stayed in the start of the school summer holidays, but because this is an adults only site, there wasn't a peep - just the occasional bark from a dog.
The shower block is very modern and well maintained - the showers are push button, only lasting for 20-30 seconds each time and for me rather hot, but other than that it was brilliant.
Brandesburton is just down the road, where there is a fish and chip shop and a Costcutter supermarket, handy for those bits I forgot to pack (always forget something!).
We visited Skirlington indoor market and boot sale on Sunday. The owners allowed us to park our van on the Visitors car park while we went out as it was our last day.
The market is well worth a visit, then went down the coast to Hornsea for an ice cream.
We'll be booking again soon to come back and visit other bits and pieces around the area - there's a nature reserve close by and Hull isn't far either.

Adults only site! We almost had the entire touring part to ourselves when we arrived; there were several unoccupied seasonal pitches, though these began to fill at the weekend, plus some more tourers arrived.
Very quiet & peaceful, and very clean. The grass was well-kept, as were the hedges – a gardener always seemed to be on the go! There was only one sink for washing dishes in the laundry room, but I never saw anyone else using it, and I would use the caravan sink too when it was raining!
There was a small rack of tourist leaflets in the laundry room (plus those in Reception), a good number of books to borrow (though we had sufficient of our own) and loads of DVDs to borrow; we did make use of some.
The day after we arrived & on a subsequent day there was a pervading smell of manure - from local farms? Or maybe another local site with a septic tank? It didn’t really bother us too much, but might be off-putting had the weather been amenable to sitting outside!
3 showers, 3 sinks & 4 toilets in the ladies’ facilities, plus a hairdryer. When the facilities block was being cleaned, a toilet & shower room for the disabled was available for use.
In the shower cubicles there were several hooks for hanging clothes & towels & also a shelf, plus a rack for toiletries in the shower itself. The showers were of the fixed nozzle, push-button variety & could get very hot, with no temperature adjustment.
The shower curtains ended just above the floor & some water did spray onto the floor beyond the curtain. There was also a 3-legged stool in each cubicle, though the seat part is quite narrow. I imagine that larger ladies would struggle to fit on it more than I did!
There are signs clearly stating that there is to be no smoking or vaping in the facilities block (the no-smoking in indoor public spaces has been law for a few decades now) but on the Sunday and Monday of our stay I clearly smelled cigarettes in the ladies’ & saw physical evidence of cigarette ash in a toilet cubicle & a cigarette in another toilet bowl. I mentioned this at Reception & was relieved to be told that they were aware of it, but that the person they believed to be responsible had left that day, and so it seemed, as the situation did not reoccur.
The poor weather & the necessity of having to get a new car windscreen fitted put a dampener on our stay, but we fully intend to return on another occasion, as it is a lovely site & just the kind of place we like. No traffic noise either!

Lovely quiet site for adults only.
Beautifully kept caravan park.
Only downside was the temperature of the water in the showers which was scalding hot and the temperature could not be changed.

A very well maintained site with reasonable facilities. Reception in a temporary hut, so minimal essential supplies, but a new building is nearing completion.
Staff excellent - friendly and helpful. Great fenced/hedged pet exercise area with fruit trees, so a pear/apple fresh off the tree every morning ! Pitches are generous and well laid out.
An easy walk into Brandesburton with a couple of convenience stores, 2 good (dog-friendly) pubs, both serving food and a fish 'n chip shop. Closer to the site is a golf club (non-members welcomed) and a lakeside restaurant, Bert's Pizzeria - not cheap but good food.
A short drive to the coast at Hornsea - plenty to do and a pub/restaurant called 'Marine' is recommended for lunch, overlooking the sea.

Stayed for 6 nights on this lovely site. Friendly staff with Spotlessly kept grounds & facilities.
Spacious fully serviced hardstanding pitches. There is free WiFi. But only just good enough to check mail.
Good tv signal but Phone signals are poor ( we are on BT & EE ) but struggled with the signal but I suppose that’s down to the masts not the site. So if you want to stream tv you will struggle.
All in all we enjoyed our stay and have already rebooked for 3 more visits.

Welcomed by a young lady on reception,
Given an info pack on arrival, she also kindly printed off a bus timetable when we enquired.
Drove through the static residential and holiday park into the touring park. Very clean and tidy, own water electric, and waste point.
Doggie walk fenced off in beautiful orchard. Easy walking to the local villages with pavements or footpaths also the golf club welcomes visitors for food or a pint. Bus to Hornsea or Beverley.
Really nice break will be back.
