Used this site for one night on our way to Yorkshire after reading some of the other reviews. As promised a lovely little site.
Loved the setting and especially the pool. The owner rung us back promptly after I left a message asking for a last minute booking and saved us a pitch.
A friendly and helpful reception on arrival. Agreed it is next to an industrial estate but we saw and heard nothing of it when on site
This site has the best shower unit we have come across in our travels. Hope to make it back there for longer stays.

Hi stayed at this very lovely site. Owners very friendly and made us very welcome. Had the Sunday lunch can highly recommend it.
We have a very old dog and they were very relaxed and did not make us feel that she was an hindrance. Toilets, shower, washroom all spotless.
Site is very near to Aldi, Morrisons, chippy, Chinese takeaway, KFC, pub all about 10mins drive away. Will definitely be going again and recommending to my friends.
Slight negative is that there is a warehouse at the back and can be noisy first thing in the morning but Vic the owner said that it belongs to the co-op and they are moving very soon.

We arrived at this site on the way home and what a wonderful surprise. It is a beautiful green oasis near Nottingham.
We arrived by accident at 2 o'clock on Sunday. We were met by one of the very friendly owners who told us to park up as he was just serving lunch. We asked if he could accommodate two more and with no fuss we were catered for. Parked the van, went into the cafe and had a magnificent roast two course meal at the reasonable price of £9.
Very helpful and friendly people!
The site is on grass and there are impressively clean toilets, showers and washup area. There are electricity hookups for all pitches and TV aerial connections.
There are also a few picnic tables for use. There is an aviary with seats beside.
The fishing looks good with carp, tench, orfe etc in a nice looking lake with plenty of swims to choose from.
We would strongly recommend this site not only as a stopover but as a destination in it's own right.
We'll definitely be returning later in the year.

What an unexpected gem. A lovely little site only metres from a (totally hidden) industrial estate in a Nottingham suburb. It's strictly an adults only site with limited room for vans and tents and that only benefits the whole experience.
A warm welcome from the enthusiastic owners, lovely facilities (cleanest I've ever seen on a campsite), a fridge and freezer available for all to use. The fishing lake is well stocked with fish (at a charge to fish)
Any down points? Hardly! The camping area has a light slope but is manageable and there is only one shower but it's spotless and spacious so well worth the wait.
We live locally and knew the area yet didn't even know of this site but we'll certainly be back. It felt like a proper holiday even though we were back home unpacking the car in 15 minutes! Something to consider with the price of fuel.

Lovely little site, nice and quiet, arrived early in morning had a lovely relaxing day. The toilet and shower facilities were immaculate wasn't expecting that. Nice clean pond, lovely big fish for those of you who like fishing, pity cafe wasn't open.
Only problem we had was late in night when someone decided to shine torch into tent and one of our 2 dogs broke off chain link and went after him and his dog! Other than will be recommending.

Our third visit in two years to this lovely oasis and this time we didn't get glorious sunshine all through, but still had a great weekend. Other half caught his biggest fish here yet (15 lb+) along with many others.
We couldn't stay for Sunday lunch this time, but plenty of other people were & from past experience they were in for a treat.
We will be back next spring.

This is one of the better sites we have stayed on. Were greeted on arrival by Vic and shown round the facilities and were given a choice of pitch.
The site is really hard to imagine as it is located behind an industrial estate, but we would never have known it. It is lovely and secluded, surrounded by trees and contains a small fishing pond and aviary which adds to the attractiveness.
The facilities are excellent and are kept spotless at all times.
We were fortunate to sample one of Cheryl's Sunday lunches which are fantastic - I defy anyone to better them on either qaulity or quantity. I also had desert as it was homemade raspberry cheesecake and it was out of this world !
Only stayed for three nights but found plenty to do in the area and visited Nottingham via the park and ride tram ( £3.50 for 2 adults, can jump on and off all day.)much less hassle than driving in busy traffic and paying parking charges. Wollaton Hall also well worth a visit as it was free, and included the house and museum, gardens and deer park along with a large lake.
This is an adult only site and thereby lies its secret - a place to relax in tranquility alongside like minded people.
Many thanks to Vic and Cheryl for their hospitality and we shall be returning in the future.

After a warm welcome from Patch (the dog) we were met by Vic (and promptly invited to his birthday bar-b-cue that evening), and shown around the facilities, then directed to the available plots to pitch our tent, some of which is a bit of a slope but there are flat areas also. Site itself is an Oasis on the edge of an industrial estate, although with the surrounding trees you would never know as it is well secluded. A big plus for us was the fact it is an Adults only site (we love kids but the occasional break is needed). The toilets and showers are immaculately clean, the potwash area is clean and has the use of a fridge freezer for ice packs etc. Vic, Cheryl and Shane are so warm and friendly and their Sunday lunch is second to none and plentiful (we strongly recommend the wine raffle). A Marstons pub is only a 10 minute walk away, along with an Aldi's, garage, and 3 take-aways, chinese, chippy and pizza. We both look forward to another stay where new friends are plentiful. Highly recommended site.

Fantastic site, nice and peaceful and the tv reception was really good. Ideal for getting into Nottingham I was working there for a week and preferred to take my van rather than stay in a hotel.
The toilet & showers are kept immaculate and no matter what time of day you go in seem always to be that way. The site owners are very friendly and helpful
Unfortunately I didn't get to sample the cream teas but heard that they were good! I will definitely stay there again if in the area - well worth a visit.

All round fantastic.
A perfect place to relax!
The site owners have looked at every last detail in the shower / toilet block.
A true oasis, yet so close to Nottingham centre.
The owners made you feel more than welcome, offering a quick tour of the site, and showing you to your pitch.
We were offered Sunday lunch but couldn't take the offer as we were moving on. This however smelt beautiful while been prepared.
