Great site, very pretty lake with pure water and large fish in it.
Mum and Dad Coots looking after their 3 babies in the nest on the lake.
The farmer is very helpful and the site is worth the price- we had a great time.
Toilets and shower are clean and no problems with the electric hook up.
Good dog walk nearby.

Wonderful laid-back site full of friendly people (and animals).
An oasis in an urban jungle.
Very conveniently near the M1 and Nottingham.
Some nice walks around the nearby country park.
Highly recommended.

Tried to book vis this listing. No response. Tried numerous telephone calls, eventually got a response. Friendly, but vague and disorganised.
Site may be OK in summer, but was muddy and and smothered in dog dirt. Good job I'd taken 4 pairs of shoes and several socks. We've had to spend a day cleaning everything up after leavning.
Toilet and shower clean, but we used our own as we couldn't risk getting more dog crap than we already had. Dogs were friendly though.
Several caravans looked like long term tenants (as did said tenants). Mildew and scruffy (caravans, not the tenants!).
Access on a rough track, surrounded by industrial units. One word sums it up - Scruffy. We've been camping since 2011, and I'm sorry, but despite the friendly host, I'd have to rate this one low on the list - we won't be returning. Even our dogs didn't like it.

One hardstanding and four grass pitches, all served with 16 amp hook up's, we chose the hardstanding for our motorhome, the pitches are
Very well spaced. The whole area is enclosed with well established hedging and trees. Numerous bird boxes and bird tables, which are "toped up most mornings.
Care is needed when approaching the site, along the private road with passing places.
Services are drinking water, chemical disposal and waste bin.
A good bus service is available into Nottingham or Chesterfield.

Entrance not great, and close to an industrial estate, but site was secure and well laid out.
Beautifully kept shower and toilets and a pleasant flat field.
Ehu is included in the price and there are sufficient hook ups, well spaced. Close to M1.

A brilliant wee site at one with nature.
Fantastic surroundings, woods, a pond & lovely Border Collies is always a bonus for me.
Very friendly and helpful staff plus good facilities.

The site was £20 per night including electric.
Close to amenities we tried the Chinese takeaway and the pizza shop which is about 15 minute walk depending how fast you walk they we're both equally tasty.
Aldi fuel station and chippy all within the same area.
Shane is lovely and friendly also very informative.
Overall it was a lovely place to stay. Very friendly site We will definitely be going back. Site is well maintained, quiet and Gated.
There's a freezer along with a pot washing facility with a very large sink, keeping you warm and dry away from the beautiful but rather erratic English weather we have.
Two toilets for ladies. Three urinals and One toilet for men. One hot unisex shower which is lockable In between the Mens and Ladies, All of which are very well maintained clean and safe.
The dogs on site are very friendly and love a fuss/play but you must remember this is their home.
Camping dogs accepted must be well behaved and kept on leads.

Beautiful + quiet little campsite in the city, with wildlife + a pond for fishing.
Very accommodating owners, dogs welcome.
The cleanest facilities we have ever seen, including hotels!
Bus + train station, local market + supermarket close by, only minutes away. The site itself has also a little shop, where you can stock up on essentials.
Ideal place, if you want to escape the stress and noise of city life.
What a gem! We will be back :)

Very clean toilets, quiet location and friendly.
Grass pitches only but firm ground.
The only negative was dog mess here and there but I would stay there again.
