No frills site at the back of the pub. 20 pitches with EHU and water. Showers and loos were at the pub and looked a bit 'rustic' so we used our on-board facilities instead. Ate at the pub one night - staff very friendly and helpful and food pretty good pub grub.
10 minute walk across a couple of fields at the back of the site to Bidford. Small grocery shop, newsagent, pharmacy, nice looking Indian restaurant, couple of pubs and a couple of takeaways. Ate at The Bridge one night and it was excellent. We had really good weather so ate outside on their deck overlooking the river.
Site is next to the River Avon but not visible from the site as behind a hedge and static park. Some traffic noise but pub was surprisingly quiet - even at chucking out time. Some thoughtless campers had left rubbish bags in the hedge behind our van and site owners had not cleared. This was probably due to the fact that the rubbish bins at the back of the pub were overflowing for the whole 3 days we were there and the whole area was very smelly. I wouldn't have wanted to have sat in the patio area of the pub which was right next to the bins.
No information on the area or site facilities given to us at check-in. We found out from another camper that they had free wi-fi and we could get a code from the pub but we were too far to pick up a signal. We had no TV reception; reception in the area must be poor as all house aerials were on very tall masts.

Spent a pleasant 5 nights at the cottage with another couple, also in a caravan. EHU points all around the outside of the rear field, together with water supply. Facilities consisted of 2 'outside' rooms containing a shower, toilet and whb - both unisex and are rustic but adequate. There was also an outside sink for dishwashing, but only a supplied with cold water.
The pub is superb, with very friendly landlord/lady and natives, serves good beer (NB 'Happy Hour' for pints from 3.00pm to 7.00pm) and good food which is excellent value for money (hope their new chef, starting in Sept, does not change this).
I was concerned about the narrow entrance to the site mentioned by an earlier reviewer - it turned out to be a non-problem! I have a 2. 5m wide 'van, and made it through OK.
Lot's to do in Willie the Shake country, also went to Warwick castle not too far away.
Will definitely go again.

Lovely big field at the back of the pub with electric large pitches around the outside and lots of room for non elec in the middle. Very quiet as no major roads around area.
Pub serves great food with a lovely local vibe and music on the weekends. Owner and staff are really helpful and are very inviting.
Lovely walks to Bidford and along the river through a couple of fields backing on to campsite.
All in all a very relaxed site with good facilities for a good price.
Loved the site so much we have hired out the whole thing for our wedding in September!

I was disappointed by this site, and not at all content. It is priced per pitch rather than by how many people or by how much space you take up. I was one person on a bike with a tiny tent and paid the same as several people in a large caravan with an awning and big car. I had paid half as much the previous night for a much better site.
The pitch was rock-hard where cars and caravans had been parked and it was difficult to get the tent pegs into the ground.
No hot water in the toilets and no soap or towels for hand-drying and no hot water for the dish-washing sink, which was out of doors.
It was quite quiet, but I would not go back again.

We stayed here for a long weekend over the easter holiday with our two young children. It was a large field with the pitches around the outside.
We had an enjoyable stay, with walks into Bidford across the fields and a trip into Stratford. There was a great children's play area in Bidford, although they did enjoy playing around the field and in the wooded area behind the pitch.
We didn't get to go into the pub for a meal, but they did do a takeaway service for us to take back to our caravan, I would recommend the homemade onion rings!
I did find the facilities rather basic, the toilets were a little run down. The shower had a painted concrete floor, which I couldn't bring myself to use as it was rather cold and didn't fancy it myself, although my husband braved it and said that the water was warm enough.
I think we would go here again for a short weekend stay due to the facilities.

Just spent 7 great nights at this site. We found the pub to be very friendly, (staff and locals). Excellent food, (the cheesy garlic bread was so good) and good beer.
Entertainment on the Saturday night was also very good. Each pitch had a water tap to share with the pitch next to it, which was a great bonus.
We didn't use the shower/toilet facilities, but they were clean and usable without any queuing.
A 10 min walk takes you across a couple of fields to the town. A superb Indian restaurant called Balti Hut was a great find! If you like curry, a definite must to try. Plenty of pubs too choose from, and other places to eat.
All in all, we would definitely return again.

Friendly site, pitches fine for access and space. Lovely area in the middle for the kids/families to play in and still be seen by parents. There were two showers for the 20-ish pitches. They were basic, and virtually outdoors, in uninsulated outbuildings. Hot and clean enough.
From the site we visited Stratford-upon-Avon, several National Trust sites, Cadbury World (40mins away) and Evesham.
Bidford-upon-Avon is a 20 min walk across 2 fields from the site, it has a good playground and picnic spot on the riverside.

Just a 4 night stay for a long week end. Site was easy to find but access is a bit restricted especially when the pub is busy. The field was quite wet when we arrived and someone in the pub said 'hope you have a 4x4' which we had. A normal car would have coped OK. It didn't rain while we were there and the field dried out quite well.
The best part of this site was the pub, great cask beers (Black Sheep etc) but the food was superb and quite cheap. Good service and friendly locals.
Downsides :-
Loo & shower are a bit cold but ne'er mind.
Will go there again if only for the beer & food.
Too many uncontrolled dogs for my liking but that isn't the fault of the site owners.

We went to this site in March 2012 as the weather was very favourable.
On arrival we were greeted at the front of the pub by the landlady, and given a choice of pitches to choose from, and we chose a pitch across the Northern hedgerow (pitch 19) to take full advantage of the Sun.
The grounds were kept very clean and at the time we went there were a lot of 'teens' taking their Duke of Edinburgh award/s but there was no unrest from this at all. In fact they were probably the best behaved bunch of kids we have met! A credit to the award.
The pub itself was really nice and served a very reasonably priced food with a range for all tastes.
The locals use the pub and were also very friendly, not to mention the barmaid who gave us the code to the free Wi-fi (which we didn't know about till we got there). From our pitch we just about got a signal from this, so if you need the Net ask for a pitch not too far from the pub.
The pub has just built an outside table area which fits in well with the surroundings.
There is a disposal point at the back of the pub and some bins for the rubbish.
All in all we really enjoyed our visit and would go there again, and next time have a pint!

My husband and I have just had two lovely nights stay at The Cottage campsite.
The field at the rear of the pub is easily accessible and there is plenty of room between each of the EHU’s. Each EHU also has its own water supply which was very handy. The field is grassed and flat, although a little wet in places this weekend.
Although we didn’t need to use the showers, they appeared basic but very clean.
The only problem we had was lack of TV & satellite reception, but I think this was because of where we were situated next to a tall hedge and some trees! Other campers seemed to have no trouble with reception. However, radio and mobile phone (O2) were fine.
The pub is very cosy and we were made very welcome by all the staff and locals. We ate in the pub on both nights and found the food to be very good and reasonable priced. There was live music on the Saturday night which was excellent.
There is a ten minute easy walk into Bidford on Avon along the side of the river and over a couple of fields which I would recommend. Bidford has a small supermarket, butchers, bakery, newsagent, takeaways and 2 or 3 pubs.
We hope to return again soon!
