The positives - it has a nice pub which does good food on site and is in a wonderful part of England and I had a good time with friends there but that is all I have for the positives.
The site is only level at one end of the field and the pitches are a lot smaller than I am used to. There are bins behind pitches which were full when we arrived (friday) and were still full on the day we left (tuesday). The toilets and showers are in serious need of updating and I only saw a cleaner go in there once which was on the monday. I could not wait to get home just to have a decent shower as the shower seemed to work for only 5 minutes and to get it to work again you had to turn it off and then back on again, the water also smelled stagnant or the drains were bad. There was no proper waste/chemical disposal - you have to lift a manhole cover to get rid of your chemical and grey waste. There is no washing up area so if you are going to be going in a tent a washing up bowl would be essential!
It is a short walk across the fields to Bidford where we enjoyed a leisurely walk around the churchyard and a enjoyable glass of Magners at the Frog pub in the beer garden, although we did not eat here the food that was served up looked top notch.
Stratford upon Avon deffo worth a visit with plenty of parking and lots of shops if your into that sort of thing. Boat cruises on the Avon for 30 minutes is cheap and relaxing. Warwick Castle not too far away and we had a very enjoyable afternoon here even though the weather was not on its best behaviour that day it did not dampen our spirits - you have to pay extra for the Castle Dungeons (£7.50) but we did not bother doing these.
All in all the area would bring me back here but not to this campsite.

This site which is situated behind the village pub, has the makings of being a nice site, with electric hook ups, water taps and dustbins at the back of the pitches (water and bin shared with your neighbour). The site is also relatively flat so not too much levelling up to be done. However, there is only one shower, which didn't have a light in it while we were there, though it was clean when we arrived. There are also no shelves or lay down area in the shower for your toiletries and the water will stop if the loo next door is flushed. There are 3 loos which are fairly basic.
As it rained for most of our stay, we perhaps didn't see the site in its best light, but the access along side of the pub is VERY narrow if you have a one of the wider vans. There are also overhanging branches.
There didn't seem to be much else in the village, apart from the pub. The site is situated close to the 'Avon Way' which allows you to walk into Stratford upon Avon or along to Bidford on Avon, which is the nearest village.

Spent a couple of nights on this sight at end of May (last few days of school half term.) As other reviews have said it has a very narrow entrance and we managed to damage a window on the way in (not a good start!) Field was fine, although it was a shame about the few small rubbish bins which were overflowing and got worse as the weekend went on. EHU around edge and area for tents in middle. Even though we were only expecting basic facilities, we were still disappointed when we saw the toilets and one shower. The toilets did not look clean, the seats needed replacing and when you flushed toilets there was a drainage problem as they were almost overflowing. We ended up using the pub toilets which were ok. There is only one man hole cover which you lift this is for grey waste and toilet cassettes and as you can imagine with the plumbing problems was full to the brim and not very pleasant. They did manage to clear the blockage late Saturday evening so maybe we were just unlucky! I think it would be a good idea for the site to provide a sink for campers to wash up their dishes and pans etc, as I noticed that they had to wash up at the fresh water taps around site.
On the positive side we did get great weather , a good value meal at the pub and enjoyed a leisurely walk into Bidford on Avon.

A small campsite with 20 pitches or so, toilets and shower. Each pitch is of good size and has own electrical hook-up and drinking water. A stone throw from pitches is the reception / pub which serves a good selection of ales. Very friendly and accommodating, serving up nice food. £5 for steak ad chips on Friday and the same on Saturday for gammon.
Not much else in village except the river but only a short walk either down the road or across the fields to Bidford, where there is a further two pubs , small shop etc…
Don’t leave it too late in the day to make your way back though as got lost in fields at 11pm without torch etc. Despite this cracking site in my opinion for 1 or 2 nights.

Site layout is good with hook ups situated around the outside of a large field. Drinking water also available at each hook up post which was very handy. Field slightly sloping but nothing too drastic. Toilets were old and cold but kept spotlessly clean. Elsan disposal more than adequate.
The turn into the car park which leads to the camping field is a bit tight if you have a big unit and there are lots of cars parked - same goes for getting out.
The Pub itself is beautiful and its set in a gorgeous village. Didnt eat there but the food looked great and was reasonably priced. Bar staff and customers were all really friendly. A proper, traditional English pub.
The weather was kind to us so we walked the dog across the fields to Bidford and sat by the river. Took about 10 minutes to walk and its partly alongside the river which is lovely.
Will definitely be going back to this site.

Stayed at this site for one night, its fab. The pub is very nice, lovely friendly staff and excellent food. Karaoke on a Saturday night, everyone was enjoying themselves.
The toilets and shower were clean and fragrant.
Would highly recommend this site, a lovely break-away with a really lovely atmosphere. Ample electric hookups and water, lots of room.
Very pleasant walk across the fields to Bidford-on-Avon, we sat at the Frog pub on the river bank watching the wildlife and boats go by, so peaceful and relaxing.

We really liked this place. The field was fine and we shared a pitch for our two 1 man tents, so only paid for one pitch. The toilets are basic but fine and there is now a shower.
The pub is excellent. Very friendly, excellent pub food and good value. The 100 yard walk back to the tents was a real bonus.
We stayed just one night and moved on so can't comment on local shops etc, but the countryside, river and local towns are all lovely. You could certainly cycle (as we did) or walk in this area very happily.
Would we go again or recommend it to our friends? Absolutely!

Great place/position. Ideal if you are self sufficient (Loo and shower) but ok if not and pub is real handy and not noisy.
Ride or walk to town about a mile and half it is lovely. No play facilities for children but hey they might just have to play with mum and dad and invent their own old fashioned fun. Will use again.

Just returned from a one night stay on this site. Booked it a while ago as there were 12 of us requiring 6 tent spaces. They had reserved all 6 next door to each other and we think in one of the best positions on the field along the edge and not in the middle.
The site is great with lots of water taps and electic hook ups. The only negative point is the lack of shower facilities.
The pub itself is great and we ate in there on the evening and despite not being fans of karaoke it proved to be very entertaining!
We also walked across the fields into Bidford which has 2 more pubs and several eating places including a chinese take away and a fish and chip shop. Two of our friends ate in the Balti Restaurant and said it was fantastic.
One tip would be to take a torch with you if you decide to walk back from Bidford in the dark. Some of us walked back along the road at night and not through the fields and even this needed a torch. It took a bit longer but was definitely easier than negotiaing the fields and the stingers!
We will definitely be returning here!

We stayed at this site for one night as a stopover after collecting our new tent.
When we arrived the bar staff were very friendly and booked us in with no problem and pointed out our pitch. The pitch numbers are not marked so it was slightly difficult to know if you were in the right place or not. Probably only a problem if you required EHU.
The toilets which are for the campsite are quite small (2 male and 2 female) and some doors didn't lock and some lights didn't work but they were next to toilets for the pub which were much better. There are no showers but as we only stayed for a night this wasn't a problem.
We went into the pub for a drink which wasn't as expensive as some people make out so I guess it depends on what you are used to paying. We didn't eat in the pub but the food looked good and the prices were quite cheap. They do a different special each night which is only £5.
The site doesn't have a playground but it does have a big grassed area in the middle where you could play ball games.
The village of Bidford is only a short walk away and has a small shop and a couple of take aways.
