This is probably one of the best sites we have been to, lovely views, spotlessly clean, heated outdoor pool, games room, playground, showers and wc excellent. We have 3 kids of different ages all were catered for with the pool, games room, playground, the shop had basic stuff but a supermarket was near by. The touring field sloped a bit but when we were sited we were given blocks to level our caravan, staff were very nice and helpful, cant really say there are any down sides to this place we will be going back

Just come back. It is a nice clean site, the toilet block was very clean, the showers are free the swimming pool was warm and clean. The lawn was nice and tidy, the playground was ok but small. The beach is rocky no sand and a long way down. There is a small shop on site, a games room that cost money. About 3.12 mile from Aberystwyth. There was only one thing the wind being on the edge of the cliff it is very very windy

Just got back from a weeks holiday here, what a fantastic location, views are so enviable you feel like your in another world.
Toilets are exceptionally clean at all times.
The play area is perfect for the kids you can leave them to play whilst still having them in view from your caravan or tent.
Dog exercise area is a good size and most people have the common decency to still clean up(still a few morons that need educating)
The shop is ok very limited but morrisons only 10 mins away I ordered a daily paper everyday which was there by 8.30.
One problem which is not to the fault of the wardens some people are very lazy who wouldn,t5 know what it was like to walk a dog even if the dog took them for a walk they just let thedogs out and let them foul around there's and our areas at least they did pick it up.I found it no effort at all to walk our dog and be considerate.
Most the people using the site are very friendly my son made lots of friends and not 1 argument or falling out all week.
Now for the down side the only one.
We were struck with 50mph gales overnight which was quite scary you kept wondering if the caravan legs were bending breaking or just straining,we have friends who have a seasonal pitch there and they 3 damaged legs on their van all in the last 3 weeks,we were gonna try to site it there all next year if there was a space but these high winds have changed my mind but will return for a relaxing break again next year.
|The access to and freom site isnt the best but well worth it for the WOW! factor I have taken some excellent photos.
P.S don't let the sloping pitches put you off as there worth that extra little effort.

Would just like to say how great this site is. Toilet/showers were always clean and with plenty of hot water. There was washing up areas and also a chemical loo disposal point. Also there were washing machines and tumble dryers. We had a hook up which was great. The scenery was beautiful. Staff were very helpful. The whole site was always clean and tidy.
There were 7 of us in 2 tents and with 3 kids aged 14, 11 and nearly 6 we all enjoyed it. The play area was very good and there is plenty of room to play cricket, swing ball etc. We liked the idea that there was NOT a pub it is a very family orientated site not too noisy at night.
Bit of a trek down to the rocky beach but with plenty of rock pools to keep the kids(and men!)entertained. There was plenty to do nearby too.
We all enjoyed it so much we have booked up for August Bank Holiday.

Have just returned from our second stay at this site. What can I say other than superb.
Staff are very friendly and helpful. The facilities are clean and well maintained. Do not be put off by the very reasonable rates (I am not going to say cheap in case the owners decide to put up the prices). There are no hidden extras like charging for showers or use of the pool.
The outdoor heated pool is clean and well looked after (we spent most afternoons in there). There is a large play area to let the kids run free. Toilet blocks again are very clean and well maintained.
We decided to have a bbq one evening and after asking at reception for a paving stone to place the bbq on, there was one waiting for us at our camper by the time we had walked back. As I say the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Strong winds can be a problem on this site so please be prepared just in case.
We will be returning again to this site and highly recommend it to everyone, but SHHHH, lets keep it our little secret.

Excellent site. Helpful Staff - blocks were bought over as soon as they realised we needed them. Slabs were delivery immediately we asked, to place the bbq on. Toilet and shower block spotless. Swimming pool lovely and warm and clean. Views are amazing - not to be missed. We were fortunate enough to have excellent weather. The beach is pebbly/rocky but we once saw seals from there. Our children also enjoyed the pony rides provided by a visiting stables, not sure how often they visit, but it was a nice surprise for the kids. The drive down to the site is a little hairy at times, I would recommend you follow the advice and turn right at the first t-junction, the route is a little longer but not so scary especially when towing.
Aberystwyth is a gorgeous town, with an especially nice morrisons supermarket. Also, try the Olive Branch, a very authentic Greek Restaurant opposite the pier. Our camping neighbours tried Little Italy near the train station and highly recommend this as well.

This site has the most beautiful view of the sea but never have we been to a site where the wind is so bad. Quite a few tents were ruined and that was in the daytime! We came home early because of the wind and the site will not give refunds so check the forecast before you go. The outdoor pool was ideal for the kids even in the wind (the wind didn't actually feel cold). As mentioned on other reviews there are lots of dogs and I actually got bit and had to go A and E they do have rules to keep dogs on leads but the dog had slipped its lead.
On a positive note the play area is in a great position, the showers and toilets are always clean and the games room is good for when it rains.

Absolutely fabulous, would recommend for any one. We selected an electric hookup tent pitch and the views were fantastic, directly overlooking the sea (the ground where the tents are pitched is sloping slightly, but not enough that it caused a problem).
We were close enough to the play area for our child, but not so close that it was a nuisance. We were also ideally situated for the toilet / shower block, which where very clean (they were checked and cleaned at least 5 times a day). The pool was heated and also very clean.
The staff could not do enough to help and were very pleasant and friendly.
Social room was good with a large TV, 2 pool tables, table tennis and some arcade games. (Just needed a change machine).
We liked it that much that we have booked again for later in the year.

This is in the most a very popular static site and they have a very slopping field to the south for tourers and tents. The field slopes from front to back, the front being the cliff edge. At the back are a few rows of `chained down` permanent tourers, then 2 rows of tourers with electric hook up and then field space for tents. They very quickly help you out with big blocks on arrival to level your caravan but it means a very high step to your door. My 4 year old fell twice.
Didn't realise why the permanent tourers were chained down until the wind got up, wow scares you to death and the caravan really rocks! check the wind forecast before you go. I read in previous reviews that it gets windy as your are very exposed but I never bothered checking the forecast, it could ruin the holiday if its too windy. My 9 year old was unable to open the caravan door against the wind and you cant have a thing outside as it will just blow away.
All said its a lovely site, well built new steps in the static section down to a rocky beach, Hard walking until low tide and if you turn left at the bottom of the steps its sandy at low tide. Plenty of driftwood for a fire.
New smart shower block for the ladies but the mens is a bit tatty and tired with dark green shower curtains, bit dark in the showers! but its cleaned very often.
Very easy to find as its well signposted. There are 2 single track roads into the site both have a few passing places off the A487 main road, one to the north and one from the south. I took a previous reviews advice and went the long way round and turned off the main road at the south mast, never met an oncoming vehicle once. I used the the other shorter road to the north on a few occasions to go to the town and shops, you meet loads of cars, spent ages reversing.
Would I go again, probably not and it was for one reason , dogs. I don't mind dogs and I was aware before going that it was a dog friendly site but nearly every pitch had a dog.

Absolutely brilliant, could not get over the fantastic views! They don't disappoint sunsets are amazing, we were blessed with glorious weather all weekend. Thought it was a great touch that levelling blocks were provided, we were greeted on arrival by a lovely chap who took us to a our pitch, after we'd phoned for directions, don't follow sat nav when you get to Aberystwyth, phone the site they're only to happy to guide you in. Facilities clean and sufficient, would be brill if there was a bar on site though and a few more provisions in the shop. Overall we definitely recommend this site!
