What a site the views are fantastic, the site is excellently maintained. Touring caravan pitches on incline the site supplies levelling blocks all pitches have view over looking the sea. The warden and reception staff are very welcoming and helpful.

The on site facilities are very clean heated has well games room and play area and dog walking area outdoor swimming pool, close to local attractions

Like the narrow gauge railway and silver and lead mines.

Site was lovely. Excellent views. Friendly helpful staff. Very clean, tidy facilities, looked after well. Fully recommended. Great outdoor heated pool. Great games room. Dog area is well placed, fenced off and kept separate from campers.
A nice drive down to the site. Secluded location. Private beach is very rocky but great to walk dogs on or to go fishing. What more can we say it was fab!. We will return.

We arrived on Tuesday 27th May and stayed until Saturday 31st May. We decided to avoid the weekend rush and arrived to a beautiful, serene site. We found the site totally by accident while trawling the internet and we were not disappointed.

The staff were great, saying they would charge us on leaving just in case the winds got too bad and we decided to depart early. They didn't need to worry, on the day of our arrival the sun came out and we had the most glorious week, only one day of rain but it was still warm.

The views are outstanding, we had our trailer tent and friends with us with a large tent so we were sited right at the front, on the far end, so only grass and a small fence separated us from the sea. Amazing, I've never seen sunsets like it.

The lads enjoyed the pool, quite warm. The toilets/showers were cleaned approximately four times a day (could be a little messy if you shower early as I do. Suggest you leave it until about 10 a.M.) but for the amount of people there they were very well maintained.

I think the idea of keys for the toilet/shower facilities is a good one, once you get used to taking it with you and not having to run back.

The shop could do with being stocked a little better but as the owner said you never know what everyone's going to want.

Can't comment on the surrounding areas as we stayed on the site all week, except for two quick trips to a handy local Morrisons. (As others have said the roads in/out can be quite dicey but it is well worth it!).

All in All a fantastic time was had by both families, a beautiful site, friendly staff and we shall definitely be back again.

Thank You Morfa Bychan for a wonderful stay.

First visit here for Whit Week. The site itself is well maintained, inviting and well laid out. We booked in and were quickly shown to our pitch by Jenny. The touring field which gives a panoramic sea view across Cardigan Bay slopes very steeply from back to front towards the cliff edge(fenced) and less steeply from right to left. Nightmare to pitch? Gary appeared in seconds with blocks for the steadies and it took only minutes. You will probably need one wheel levelling ramp though.

We found the facilities good. The pool was warm and supervised at all times, the loos and showers were cleaned regularly,(great job Tom)and the water was hot. The laundry was excellent, enormous washers and dryers. Our only gripe here is that we found the dryer heats awkward to get right because the instructions are very vague.

The shop sells only basics, but this is not a problem as Aberystwyth with a massive Morrison's, loads of shops, chippies, takeaways and pubs/cafes is only 5 miles away. The beach has plenty of rock pools, lots of shingle, and hardly any sand. We found the access which is steep in need of improvement, the steps need levelling, the bottom one is in urgent need of securing (it is loose)and the handrail is overdue a sand to remove sharp edges and splinters. Site OWNERS please note.

To access the site from Aber if towing DO NOT take the right turn at the bottom of the hill. Continue on the main road, uphill until you pass the transmitter mast (on the right)then turn right (Signed Morfa Bychan.)

All in all a very good site with loads to see and do close by. Our thanks to Gary, Jenny, Tom, John and every other member of staff whose help and friendliness made it a pleasure to stay .

We had a great holiday here last August bank holiday. We were sited near the dog walking area without electrics. The views were outstanding, beautiful sea or hillsides all around. The site is sloping but levels out towards the bottom. Our daughter loved the pool just wish it was open later. The staff were brilliant even charged my husbands' mobility scooter overnight for him in the games room. The games room was great for our daughter with free air hockey, Sky tv and only a small charge for the pool table. Thought the keys for the toilet blocks were a great idea knowing my daughter could go and not have just anyone walk in. My only small criticism is the shop could do with being bigger and stock more variety. The surrounding areas are lovely explored Aberywsyth and New Quay lovely sandy beaches ideal for families. Booking again for this year and taking more family and friends with us.

We really enjoyed our bank holiday August here. We booked an electric pitch, and had the good luck of being placed right at the front on the far end, which meant nothing but 15m of grass and a fence between us and the sea. Wonderful.

The children loved the playground, and were able to play whilst we watched from the tent (the perfect distance away!). I did have to have a few words with children playing rather too fast and violently for our 3 and 5yr olds, but the soon got the message.

The pitches were fairly cramped, with not much space between us and the (very noisy) people behind us or beside us and we were very pleased we weren't in the second row facing another tent, or further down the first, where a continual game of football was being played. Where we were was lovely though.

Staff were friendly, and the pool was nice, even fairly warm. The static’s are in a separate area, so seemed miles away. Showers etc were nice, and kept fairly clean, despite being busy. The site was windy, but not damaging to any well pitched tents.

The road is tight as said, and we had to do a lot of reversing during the week, but arrival and departure times are scheduled to avoid caravans etc meeting. As long as you can reverse in your car while not towing, you won't have a difficulty. There is also another way if you turn left once you exit the long driveway.

The downside for us was the noise over the Bank Holiday, with many adults and children being very loud in the evening and well into the night. I'm guessing that in a less busy time this wouldn't be an issue, though the close pitches emphasized the noise.

Returning - well, in a different month, I imagine we would find more considerate campers, and if we could book the same few spots on the end rather than packed in further back on the site, I would be happy to. Having said that we are not intending to this year.

Some lovely beaches in the area, including down the road away from Aber, (which is only 10 mins away), and some convenient co-ops etc less than 10 minutes. The Cog railway is great fun, and the Centre for Alternative Technology is also worth a visit.

 Visited site August bank holiday.

Drive from main road is mad but there were loads of caravans when we arrived so it must be ok. Would not like to see two caravans meet each other though!

To say the view is beautiful is such an understatement. You have a full panoramic view of cardigan bay and is completey breathtaking.

Tent field is sloping but bottom is fairly flat

Lovely Childrens play park in the middle - dont park too close if you dont want noise

Showers were clean and hot - had to use a key to get into block which was a pain.

Weather was changeable but we used the outdoor pool and it was fab - lovely and warm - just kept a towel right by the edge as we froze when we got out.

Family room with games air hockey pool table good for kids.

The biggest washing machine and tumble drier I've seen in my life.

There is access to a small rocky bay, we didn't go. We went to Borth instead. Aberaeron is lovely too try the honey icecream.

Aber is lovely - morfa bychan is well worth a visit- take everything you need as local morrisons is in Aber and back down the lanes.

Lovely friendly site, saw dolphins in the bay at breakfast time, Milky Way at night! Incredible views and sunset. Good for base for touring mid Wales.
Nice outside pool and play area, adequate toilets/washroom, shop had a limited range (long way to nearest shops otherwise),sloping site - ok when dry but worried how it would be when wet, narrow access road, with tight turns and few passing spaces- but glad we went!

A fantastic site, it is a wide open camping field with individually marked camping pitches with electric hook ups.
The tenting area was right at the front of the field in front of us right next to the sea, I would say it would be rough when the wind picks up!
The toilet blocks were clean and seemed to be checked throughout the day. When we arrived the pitches are all on a slope but the staff came around and helped us to get level with blocks.
The play area is new this year and is set on the hill side next to the tent pitches and within view of the touring pitches, good if you have kids.
The shop as got basic supplies and you can order papers daily.
There is a lot of information on local attractions and the staff can tell you the best places to eat, we went to the halfway inn at piscah, on the devils bridge road, very nice but it might be better to book.
Dont forget the lanes to the site are narrow so dont do as we did and go down the wrong lane, turn off the main road by the big tramsmitter ariel, at blaenplwf.
We will be back.

What a fantastic site, so quite and peaceful and such beautiful scenery. When we arrived it was a total WOW factor. I have never seen such beautiful sunsets in this country, you could have been anywhere in the world. The facilities are clean and all the staff are friendly. The pool really is heated and the gardens are spectacular, probably the best site I have visited.
