We have been here a few times before and had a lovely stay although the lack of showers with so many campers was a problem. So we thought we'd give it another go now the new shower block was open. The shower block is lovely, clean, quite large and airy. I was disappointed with the water pressure of the showers it was nearly impossible to wash my hair and took a very long time to rinse the shampoo out. It seems a shame that they have spent so much money on the building and not got the showers right. The old showers are still there they could do with some new soap dispensers.
The biggest attraction to the site for us has to be the friendliness of the site. The children play happily and are safe. The owners are very welcoming and friendly. Plenty of water taps. There are couple of dips in the field but generally flat and easy to pitch. The children enjoyed watching the gliders. The fishing lake was a bit of a let down as the area we could fish in being non-members was very shallow.
All in all though I would recommend the site great value for money but if you need to wash your hair use the older showers :)

This was our first ever camping experience therefore aside from reading the reviews really did not know what to expect. We (my daughter aged 5 and three adults) selected Brook Meadow due to facilities, security of site and lake and it was brilliant. The site is very easy to find. The cheerful owners meet you on arrival at the welcoming reception and are very friendly. The site is accessed through via security barrier required an operating code from reception. The site itself is very clean, well maintained and breath taking. The site has a stunning lake with beautiful views. Caravans and tents have plenty of space to camp. There are chalets on site also for those who do not wish to camp. The facilities exceeded expectations, tumble dryer, washing machine, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, hygienic, clean, brand new shower block and toilets, spacious, hot water and microwave. Our first experience was so good we have booked to come back again next month! I would certainly recommend this site.

We stayed at this site earlier in the year, so this is just an update. Our impression of the site still remains very favourable.
Although their web site still states that the new facilities block is 'due for completion Spring 2013', it was open on this visit, and is very impressive, and kept very clean.
Our last visit was before Spring had sprung, and we were pleasantly surprised by how much prettier it looks in summer, when surrounding trees and hedges have foliage.
Whilst there are more sheltered corners, if you don't manage to get one, my previous comments about it being an exposed site still stand, I plan to stay here again, but would think twice about it if strong winds were forecast. There is immature planting around the site, and when this grows it will provide an welcome improvement.
Despite being lakeside, the site drains well - met office 'amber' warnings for rain in force, and boy did we get it, but we had no flooding problems.

Lovely campsite, very peaceful and spacious with friendly staff. We stayed here for the History Live festival at Kelmarsh Hall for preceding two nights and camped by the trees by the lake in the heat wave. Very quiet, although it got busier over the weekend for the festival. Idyllic for the children who loved exploring the wooded areas and watching the dragonflies, fish and ducks on the lake. Lovely flat grass to pitch on too. The new toilet and shower block opened during our stay, but when not busy the old block was adequate and very clean. Great to find a kettle available to use and amazed by sight of iron and ironing board available for campers!
Lovely farming area and visited Kelmarsh Hall gardens, Coton Manor Gardens and the site of the Battle of Naseby nearby. Would love to stay here again next year.

Very attractive site alongside fishing lake. Quiet location away from main roads. Run by very pleasant people. Good facilities block with 2 bathrooms, 2 separate loos, fridge, kettle, washer, dryer and ironing board. Free showers are good. During my stay the owners rushed to open the new shower block which is very nice, although hopefully shower curtains and hooks for clothes are on the way. The site is not handy for shops. Market Harborough is about 6 miles away. I stayed at the site to attend History Live at Kelmarsh Hall. So did lots of other people and the site was heaving and very noisy into the early hours, so best avoided for that particular weekend if you like peace and quiet. I would happily go there again but at a different time. There is a glider club a couple of fields away and you can watch the gliders being towed up over the site. Market Harborough is a pleasant market town with an interesting church. Foxton Locks is lovely and not far from MH. The meal I had at the pub there was nothing very special. Coventry is worth a visit. The cathedral is stunning and has a museum about the Coventry blitz. There are 2 excellent free museums. The transport museum is not to be missed, and has a floor devoted to Coventry's car industry.

Picturesque & quiet site Monday to Friday but the weekends can get very rowdy as mixed teenage groups are allowed and the wardens are not actually on site, they live on the other side of the farm but will come down and do there best to sort out the offenders if asked.
The new shower / toilet block was just about to be opened as we left so the queue issues mentioned by others shouldn't be a problem any more.
Nice lake stocked with carp and tench along with ducks and geese for the kids.
We would go again for a mid-week stay but we'd try to avoid pitches 1 to 5 as these are close to the new shower block / septic tank / elsan disposal point / bins and water stand pipe.

This site is very local to us, but this was our first time visiting. We were made very welcome at reception and given some guidance on where to pitch (we had asked for a sheltered spot as we knew we were in for some stronger winds the next day. We pitched in a great spot behind some trees over looking the lake, and even in the strong winds were nice and sheltered.
The site is very well kept, and once the facilities block is finished it will be even better! There were signs up saying these hope to be open soon (still being finished). The facilities that was there was adequate for our stay, the site was not over busy, a couple of shower rooms and toilets. The use if a microwave and fridge if needed, and washing facilities.
There is a nice little walk around the site lake, and we also had a nice couple of hours visiting Foxton Locks, about a 10 minute drive from the site.
Overall very impressed, and we shall be back.

We stayed here for three nights end of may bank holiday. We had a good welcome on arrival and was given a nice pitch by the lake. This is a secure site nice and safe. The shower block was a bit small for the amount of people but a new one is being built but its been held up by the bad weather. Local pubs are good and market harbourgh is only 12 miles away so had a good day there. Good fishing lake. Will be staying again.

We enjoyed our stay here, management was very friendly and helpful. Very busy bank holiday weekend, so existing showers/toilets inadequate BUT new ones are nearly finished and the existing ones were clean and lovely to use the only problem was there were only 2 bathrooms with showers and toilet in 1 room and 2 extra toilets with hand basins so a quick trip to use toilets only, at busy times was difficult. I did like the idea of unisex proper bathrooms where you could have a comfortable hot free shower. Lots of sockets to recharge phones etc (seems like teenage girls have to do this several times a day!) Unsecured wireless access from toilet block. When the site was less busy during the week it was great.
On Saturday night we had a problem with a very loud group of people socialising till 3.30 in the morning - the warden went out to them at least twice but no result. They were asked to leave the following morning. There will always be people like this no campsite is immune but the fact that there was a warden there all weekend must discourage the majority of noisy people.
Roughish but nice pub ( The Wharf) at welford has a lovely varied menu both lunch and dinner and allows dogs in the bar. ( lovely prawn and haddock risotto)There are a number of good walks from here.
Very limited local shops- PO in Husbands Bosworth and also welford, nearest proper shop is Market H'br. (No tourist information)
Would visit this site again

Nice calm site, in a beautiful rural environment. Good maintained facilities. The new shower block wasn't finished yet when I visited but the old one was more than enough for the amount of people on the site when I was there.
I really enjoyed my stay here, the only bit of annoyance that I experienced was the farm dogs strolling the terrain. Since strange dogs have to be kept always on the lead I did expect that they would keep their dogs away too. They didn't what evolved in regular visit of the farm dogs and much pee on our tyres.
