Spent a recent week in Upton Manor Farm
Very cheery reception and directed promptly to our EHU pitch
Nice flat pitches, grass is kept short, decent sized pitch.
If the pitch isnt EHU you may find further away from shower block and on a more sloping pitch!
Toilet/showers never seemed busy even though the site seemed full. Always clean and well attended
Brixham is a mile walk down the hill which isn't a problem but the hike back for some might be too much.
Nice coastal walk into Brixham
Site seemed very quiet at night and we had no problems sleeping. Some may find the seagulls an annoyance though
Good bus service and taxi back (£4) alleviated this. Car park in the centre of Brixham allows you to park between 1800 -1000 for £2
Some great restaurants in Brixham - see trip advisor
Ferry to Torquay is a must and a real bargain. £1 each way for a 30 min crossing.
Plenty of local shops, small on site shop 3 mins away, Spa 5 mins, Co-op/Tesco in the centre of Brixham. Sainsbury's 4 miles away
All in all a really nice site which we would re-visit

Just returned from this site. We cannot say enough about it. We were welcomed by very friendly people who gave us lots of information.
The site is brilliant, flat, well drained (even after very heavy rain and winds) the shower/toilets are very clean and well maintained. Other facilities excellent- laundry room and dishwashing.
A walk into Brixham, about a mile- just watch hill coming back. The walks in the surrounding area are good, by the South Coastal path.
We had a great time and even stayed an extra 2 nights making 9 nights in all. Brixham is lovely with lots of places to eat and friendly pubs.
We will be back next year. Good central site for visiting surrounding area.

The site is well maintained clean and friendly. The toilets are very clean. The site is within walking distance of Brixham though its up hill all the way back, but there is a pub about halfway back to split the journey or a taxi is very reasonable ( 4 or 5 pounds).
We used the shop on the adjacent John Fowler site and also the clubhouse, don't know if we were supposed to but nobody said anything.
There is a lovely walk along the coast from the campsite which eventually brings you into Brixham, we got the bus back to the site as our legs were a bit weary. Brixham is very nice with lots of pubs and restaurants and a nice if small beach. Really liked the open air lido.
Would definitely stop at this site again if in the area.

Very enjoyable stay despite the awful weather. It's run largely by a very nice, helpful couple, who are around between 9:00 - 18:00.
The facilities are more than adequate; hot free showers (always hot), washing-up, laundry etc. There is also a well stocked shop & take-away on the site opposite. The whole site & pitches are reasonably flat, with a tarmac road running through the middle for ease of access. EHUs throughout. Didn't see much in the way of play equipment if you have children.
The site is ideally located for coastal walks or for heading into town, although the steep hill isn't easy on the return leg. Easy access by car/bus to the other nearby places of interest. Plenty of pubs/restaurants around too. We also took the ferry to Torquay which was great fun.
In summary a quiet, unassuming site, with all necessary facilities.

We stayed here for 3 nights, we found Brixham and the surrounding area to be beautiful, great for walks, shopping and fishing. Makrel fishing in Brixham was the best we have found. The site was basic to say the least, sat in our tent the view the lovely and site itself fairly quiet although there was a lot of noise coming from the neighbouring caravan park who had children screetching in the play area at 11. 30 in the evening and a bar that decided to tip away all the empty glass at about 12am! The toilets and wash facilities were the most basic we have ever seen, when we arrived only the small block was open but the larger/newer block did open later. The toilets were fine but no individual, private sinks and the shower cubicles reminded me of 1980s camping, stone floors and and hook on the back of the door, which meant all your clothes and towel got wet as you were showing. The new block had smaller showers but a bench and hooks outside to put your things, ok if you don't mind undressing infront of others! The owners were working hard to keep the site looking nice which was becoming a bit of a task as the weather was so bad and because its all grass it very quickly turned into a mud bath. We would visit Brixham and Devon again but would probably look elsewhere to camp.

A mixed bag of very good and could be better.
Very good: the location, high above Brixham but just a walk into the town (though harder walking back!) Lovely, open site, which would be a sun trap in a normal summer. Peaceful and quiet. Facilities are spotlessly clean.
Could be better: whilst those facilities are clean, they haven't really been thought through, and there is a distinct lack of hooks and surfaces to put stuff while you take a shower. Minor gripes, but they would make a big difference.

The couple running the site were incredibly cheerful and happy to help despite our late, unbooked arrival.
The facilities on site were very good with plenty of hot water etc and no queuing for showers even though august bank holiday.
The camping field did not feel overcrowded even though busy. Plenty of room around each tent
The toilets were quite a long way from the camping field but then again we were in the furthest corner due to our late arrival. Must admit we sometimes drove up to the toilets / showers / dishwashing facilities!
Distance to toilets would not have been an issue if booked into one of the designated pitches / EHU pitches nearer the top of the site.
You are also able to use the well stocked shop of the neighbouring holiday park which is a bonus.
Overall this is a great site with plenty of space, good facilities and a lovely team running the site.
Would definitely come back but next time book a pitch nearer the top.

Firstly a big thank you to Minda and Brian for making our stay a happy one, greeted with a big smile, given a choice of plots with suggestions then local knowledge of the area.
The facilities are clean and well maintained but most of all the grass is regularly cut. All in all a very pleasant stay - highly recommended.
After a long drive Upton Manor was a very welcome and relaxing stay. Both Minda and Brian were very friendly and accommodating on our arrival. The site was spacious and sunny with lots of room for kids to play and make friends (Rhys loved it!).
If you're after lots of facilities for the kids then this is not the site for you but if you're after a relaxed campsite with a friendly atmosphere where families or couples can enjoy the great outdoors then I would recommend Upton Manor.
The town of Brixham is a short walk downhill (bearing in mind you have to come back up!) with a variety of shops, pubs etc. And a small harbour to explore.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thank you. Tracey, Tim & Rhys

We have just returned from our first camping trip, staying at this site.
We arrived to discover the welcome was warm, friendly and had a personal touch. Lots of information given to us about the local area with discount vouchers and maps (great when you have a family)
Our pitch was well drained, had plenty of space and great views!
The facilities were clean, showers were great just the right temperature and we never had to wait.
Beautiful surrounding area, lots of places to visit including the small but pretty St Marys Bay, where we lucky enough to see a seal!
The shop on the site opposite was fairly reasonable and very well stocked.
The great weather was a huge bonus as it only rained at night.
We really enjoyed our stay at Upton manor and will be going back. A lovely break

We have just returned from a week at this site. There is nothing negative to be said about it. The owners are welcoming and friendly and when booking in give you information about what is going on in the local area during your stay.
The site is extremely well maintained and the toilet/shower blocks are spotless. The site was quite full during our stay but we never had to wait for the showers. The location is perfect - a short walk to a beautiful beach one way and into Brixham the other way.
We liked it so much we booked up for the bank holiday weekend while we were there!
