We came up from Harris for a couple of nights staycation for my son's birthday. He and his 2 cousins loved it so much.
They have made a note of the pitch numbers we had so we can try and book the same spot next time.
The toilet/shower block was kept very clean and tidy.
Very easy to find and communication was brilliant.
We cannot wait until our next visit.

This is a beautiful site right on Reef beach. Lovely for swimming which is why I came with my friends to celebrate the solstice and swim.
Cost for electric hook up is £20 which I was happy to pay although it was more expensive than some mainland sites which have better facilities.
Being on an island is always more expensive so I am not complaining. Easy access. Finn writes up the pitches you are to go too and comes around later to take payment.
I was surprised that the main toilets and showers were closed for cleaning at 7am. That would be the main time they would need to be open. Luckily there is another toilet and shower to use. I think 10am would be a better time. Only a minor point.
There is a hot food shack nearby but I think it only opens at the weekend. There is an excellent shop further on in Uig. Best to stop there to stock up before coming to the campsite.
Be sure to visit the Community cafe and museum - turn right at the signpost for Aird Uig then left. The cafe is on the right by the school.

This site is in a glorious location next to a long sandy beach with machair adjacent and lovely views if you have the right pitch.
The lower numbered electric hook up pitches are not among these, being close to the facilities.
They are not unpleasant but I felt that they were crammed a little close together for safety and it was tricky fitting everyone in despite some of the pitches being vacant.
The facilities were acceptable. They were clean but relatively basic and there could have been more shower and toilet cubicles.
It’s a longish drive down single track roads but worth the effort for the location.
The catering van next door seemed popular despite a limited menu but for shops etc it is necessary to drive a few miles.

Friendly warden who worked for the community Trust who run it.
Good hot water for washing dishes.
Toilets a bit dated and small for site when full.
Some of the hook up pitches difficult to access and leave.
Lovely location with plenty of sandy beach and rocky coastline to explore as well as the hills and lochans for a few nights stay.

Very nice site over looking a beautiful beach.
It was ideal for camping in a tent or your own vehicle.
Lots of choices of where to park to suit what worked best for you, ie sand dune, hard standing etc.

Absolutely incredible location, on a beautiful beach, surrounded by rolling hills, outstanding.
Very friendly and welcoming owner who has time for a chat with everyone.
Fab food van near the entrance…what more could you wish for!
No laundry facilities but lots close by.
Wonderful place you stay, if you’re only here for a day or two you’ll certainly wish you’d stayed longer!

Stunning location just back from a beautiful beach.
The facilities are basic but fine for one night.
Fin is a star and super helpful.
Location is quiet and peaceful with the only interruption being the nearby sheep.
Be warned that the approach road is a little "interesting" but the site is worth the extra effort.
Ensure you are fully provisioned as there are no shops, pubs or restaurants etc.
Enjoy

Great location.
Facilities all available but rather basic (no where to put clothes whilst showering; shower has to be paid for, 3 minutes for £1).

Wonderful! Perfect location ( we were off grid- ehu plots are near facilities and can’t see the beach) we opened our back doors to a perfect view of white sand and blue sea.
Quiet, well cared for. Facilities basic but clean.
Finn looks after the site well. Lovely walks nearby.
