Very warm and friendly welcome by the owners couldn't do enough for us. The site is in a lovely setting very quiet and the facilities extremely clean and tidy. The pitches are large and on grass with plenty of electrical hook ups and a dog walking area.

The site is ideally situated to visit Moors valley country park which is a fantastic place for children. Bournemouth and the New Forest are also a short drive away.

On Sunday mornings there is a great car boot sale just up the road.

We will definitely visit again.

Just returned from 2 nights at Gundrys. What a lovely camp, clean and tidy, quiet with beautiful sunsets. But not far from lots of wonderful activities in the New Forest and surrounding areas.

Baz and Loraine were lovely and very helpful, despite being busy, they always stopped for a friendly word and would do anything they could to help.

We had a lot of rain and wind but it did not spoil the enjoyment of our weekend.

I can definitely see us returning time and time again to this wonderfully quiet, well maintained and friendly site.

It needs to be mentioned that this site is right next to a very large Army camp base, the owners seem to have overlooked this fact in their adverts and on all literature and brochures. Trees have been grown to hide the Army camp.

Although the area is quiet, it is naturally expected that the industry of a working army unit craetes lots of noise at times.

It is quite some way to the centre of Bournemouth, there is very little to do without driving. There are a couple of pube near by and a huge Industrial estate. In my opinion there are better cheaper sites to choose in the area.

Just spent a couple of nights in this site.

Nice and clean and well maintained. There are 2 toilet blocks - one very new, I preferred to use the old one as it was less busy. The showers are good - free, hot and relatively powerful.

Icepacks can be frozen at 20p each(money goes to charity).

There is a keypad barrier to the site and you have to enter the code on the way in and the way out. We were pitched near the barrier, so there were times when we felt as though we were on a busy road junction as cars queued to go in and out.

There is nothing negative about this site, but I felt that there was nothing outstandingly exceptional that would make me want to return.

Spent a lovely half term at this site. A nice peaceful site, but with enough other campers that the children were never short of a friend to play with. The facilities were always very clean and tidy. I had to use my caravan shower once because the shower block water was tepid, but the rest of the time hot water was in abundance.

We had some lovely days out and can highly recommend the following as full day trips for families with children:

-Moors Valley Country Park

-The Heavy Horse Farm

-The Museum of Electricity and on to Mudeford for the beach and crabbing

-Wimborne Miniature Village then the river for swimming (ask a Wimborne local for directions)

The campsite owners very helpful and friendly.

I imagine we'll return to this site, it's really spot on.

I chose this camp site as reviews were positive and seemed to suit families as it was suggested that you all pitched round the edge of the field so plenty of room to play. We were a group of 21. On arrival we checked in and were shown to a plot along with a long list of rules, of which one was slippers only are to be worn in the toilet block as it is new and no muddy shoes allowed. Now, call me strange but slippers are not on my list of priorities when packing for a weekend camping, 3 nights in total.

The plots were marked and all pre-allocated which was good but I was disappointed that as it was a busy bank holiday, in order to maximise bookings, there were extra rows of pitches leaving only a tiny area in which the kids could play. And then we were in fear of hitting something or someone.

The new toilet block was good but, there is only 1 washing up sink for the camping field and the touring field. This led to long queues morning and evening. If the owners had kept to the advertised 50 pitches the 4 showers would have served the site well but there were over 65 pitches in our field alone and again we had to queue for the showers in the morning. We come away at this time of year, every year and this is the first time I have queued at any site for such a long period.

One of the positives of this site is the off road walk along to Moors Valley Park which is a whole day out. The facilities there were excellent with a steam train ride, 2 good playgrounds and an adventure trail.

On Saturdays a fish and chip van comes between 5-30 and 6.30, expect to queue, but its worth it.

We had a lovely meal at the Three Legged Cross pub which is a 10 minute stroll. And the guy at the camping shop up the road was brilliant in swapping our dodgy calor gas cylinder.

We visited Gundrys for the first time over the May Bank Holiday weekend. The pitches were clearly marked out but there wasn't much room for the children to play.

The toilets are new and cleaned to a high standard. There are 4 showers however and at peak times (about 8 am when I tried) the water was luke warm. Also there is only one sink to do your washing up in so long queues formed there.

The site is immaculately clean though and is obviously well run. We visited Moors Valley Park which is an amazing day out for all and enjoyed the fish and chip van that comes early evening on a Saturday.

The local pub which is a 5 minute drive (ten minute walk away) was very good and the food was lovely.

Have just returned from a weekend stay at Gundry's farm and had a very lovely time! The campsite is set in beautiful surroundings with both camping fields surrounded by trees. The campsite was very well looked after by the owners which made it a joy to stay. Although we had some heavy rain during the nights the ground never became soft or boggy and drained very well.

Overall the campsite had very good facilities for showering and washing up dirty plates etc. The showers were always warm and private and even though the campsite was pretty full we never had to wait long for one to become free. Very nice new toilet block which was extremely clean and modern.

The owners were very welcoming and helpful during our visit. They look after the site extremely well. The pitches are very well spaced out giving us plenty of room for our large tent and two cars.

This was our first camping experience and we could not have wished for a better one. We would strongly recommend this campsite to anyone staying in the area and we hope to return for another holiday there very soon!

We chose this site as our first trip of 2011. It perhaps is not quite as 'rural' as you would think the turning down a farm road is straight off the main road running through 3 legged cross.

All the pitches are nice and level and we experienced no problems with our usual selection of Delta pegs,

In the field next to the one we pitched in is a brand new and perfectly fine toilet block although this is of wooden construction and may not stand the test of time too well, the shower block is adjacent to the owners house/reception and they were always clean with ample hot water, obviously we stayed off-season and the 4 cubicles may result in a bit of a wait at busy times.

The main let-down for us was the one washing-up point which, at the time we stayed, is totally exposed, with no cover, on the outside of the shower block had I been designing the new toilet block I would have put at least one undercover sink at each end.

All things considered not a bad site but the washing up provision would be enough to put us off returning and, maybe its purely personal but I feel the shower block is too close to the owners house.

Its worth mentioning that there is no playground for children although this didn't affect us and the site is right next to a big installation of some sort with big pipes everywhere as I mentioned not quite as rural as may be assumed.

Stayed at Gundry's for four nights in the middle of April. The site was lovely and quiet and the owners were friendly. The field we were in was well kept and the pitches well looked after (we had the EHU pitch which was located near the house).

The toilet block for this field was adequate, a little dated but no complaints, a new toilet block has been built in the second field which was lovely and many other campers chose to use that.

The showers were clean and always available. Only one sink to wash pots but we only had to wait once. Could do with another place to wash pots in high season.

Lots to do in the local area, we visited the New Forest and spent a day in Salisbury and then drove up to Stonehenge which was definitely worth a visit.

We were very lucky with the weather, it was sunny and warm. We spent a day walking around the area, found the local car boot sale and Bangor racing on the Sunday and stopped in the local pub- Three Legged Cross for a drink- nice pub but a bit of advice- dress smart.

We paid £72 for 4 nights, maybe a little more than other campsites but the peace and quiet made it worthwhile.

Would stay at this campsite again.
