It is horse country, and you can walk down a track all the way to the country park, which is a lovely place! (only 2 minutes drive down the road)

Facilities were basic but very clean, warm showers.

The reception we got was friendly and helpful.

The dogwalk around the field is small, but great for a quick walk with the dogs offlead morning and night! Everyone cleaned up after their dogs so it was safe by torchlight!

The pitch was roomy and pretty flat. It was pleasant and quiet and rural. We would stay there again for a couple of nights if in the area touring.

A gem of a campsite - I was a bit concerned after reading other reviews about the showers (as I do like a good shower each day) I was honestly pleasantly surprised. They are not basic by camping standards there are three totally individual fully tiled cubicles (so you don't get other peoples water running into your cubicle) and cleaned every hour. The water was always hot when I used it, only thing was that we were lucky the site was quiet when we visited. The owners were really friendly showed us to our pitch personally and nothing was too much trouble - they took us and our children into the sheep field and let us feed the sheep which I think was a highlight of the children's visit, even when they were really busy they let us feed the sheep over the fence. Well thought out pitches leaves plenty of space in the middle for the children to play. Lovely area with so much to see and do on the doorstep, We will definitely return

Just returned from another fantastic weekend at Gundrys Farm.

As mentioned before the site is basic with few facilities but there is always space for the kids ( and big kids) to play ball games / cricket / manhunt etc.

The toilets and showers were always clean and hot water was always available when we needed it. There is only 1 sink for washing up and although the site was fully booked there was never to much of a wait to use it. The showers were hot and again never much of a queue despite there only being three.

The owmers were always available and nothing seemed to be too much of a problem - even retrieving our ice packs after reception had closed.

We like this site for the calm and relaxed atmosphere with no pressure from the kids to go and spend a fortune in games rooms or arcades.

Moors Valley Country Park is a short drive or medium walk up the road and Poole and Bournemouth are less than half hour drive down the road. Also good access for the New Forest.

All in all really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be returning soon

I almost don't want to tell you how fantastic this site is! The owners are very friendly and meet you with a tour and show you your pitch. All tents/caravans and motor homes are placed round the edge of the field and the middle is left free meaning that you never feel stuck in. The site had a mix of young families and older people but there was no loud noise and by half 9 it was all quiet.

The toilets and showers are basic but very clean and we didn't have to queue to use the showers despite the site being nearly full.

The site is really close to loads of local attractions, perfect if you want to see more than the beach and the local pub is a 5 minute walk away if you fancy a change from the barbecue!

Overall I would recommend you try this site if you want a relaxing and welcoming stay. Thank you!

Visited this site over a wet and windy May bank holiday weekend. It's a nice relaxed site on a working farm. Despite the heavy rain the ground held up well, and did not become swampy. I paid £12.00 for non ehu, price per pitch not person. No extra for awnings etc.

Toilet and shower facilities are fairly basic, there is a communal block with three showers, and two toilets / sinks etc. There are additional toilets apparently elsewhere, but I didn't use them. The main block is a little old, but was kept extremely clean, whatever time I happened to visit it. The showers are basic but functional - they have fixed heads, but have mixers so you can control the temperature, essential for kids, and always had hot water. No shower curtain, but spacious, and loads of hooks in each, so no problem keeping stuff dry. I never had to queue. There is also a small washing up area outside.

We were in the back field, which overlooks the sheep in the field behind. There is a dog walk around the site. There are no marked pitches, so plenty of space to spread out. No kids playground, but lots of space for them to play in the middle of field, well away from the pitched units. Bins in various places around the field, with recycling facilities. Water tap also easily found.

It's very easy to get to from the main routes, although look out for the sign into the site, it's easy to miss. If you do miss it there is a small roundabout further up the road, so you can turn around and try again!

Just up the road from the site, about a 10 minute walk, is a garden centre, which also contains a cafe, Cotton Traders, and quite a good camping shop. Very handy it you have forgotten anything, or if like me, you can't help browsing, looking for something you didn't know you needed. A few hundred yards further on is a Nisa shop, which sold food, alcohol, papers, household bits and bobs, very handy. There is another shop, a One Stop, up the road in the other direction from the site - it's a little further, but I didn't use it. There is also a nice looking pub a short walk away, but sadly I couldn't find an excuse, or time to use it!

Overall a nice basic site, the sort I actually prefer with no pretensions, bells or whistles, and not over commercialised like many. Relaxed, friendly and quiet.

A lovely, lovely site. Peaceful and quiet, and so friendly.

My 3 children aged 10, 12 and 16 fed the lambs within a couple of hours of arriving- not many places offer this! When we forgot the gate was locked at 11pm and were still in Poole, we phoned and nothing was too much trouble. They told us we could park in the farm yard and to relax, not rush and just enjoy ourself. The gentleman who owned the site drove round in his golf buggy and 'popped over' to see if all was OK as we were eating breakfast outside our van.

Although there were only 3 showers, they were clean and good- plenty of hot water.

The site was beautifully mown, and although we were near the shower / loo, it was across a little field with no caravans / tents in. So no one would be disturbed.

Nice looking pub 10 mins walk right at end of lane.

Moore Valley park a nice walk down bridleways- took 25mins and a great park- go ape, steam train, icecreams and a huge play park suitable for older kids too.

Only improvement I'd make was a small kids play area- but there are climbing trees on the dog walk, which is bordering the field.

It cost us £44 for 2 nights, with 3 kids a dog and an awning. Not cheap, but a lovely site!

(found a huge car boot sale 10 mins walk away on Sunday morning too!)

All in all a lovely site, lovely owners- and one we'd return too.

We are regular caravaners who have stayed all over Britain as well as France and Spain. We often visit Gundry Farm as we find it very much a haven of relaxation and country living. It is ideally situated close to the New Forest, Bournemouth and Poole are only a short drive away and Moors Valley Country Park is literally on your doorstep. There is never a shortage of places to go and visit. We have a dog and it is ideal as there are many good walks in the area.

The site is level and beautifully kept. The grass is a credit to Baz who spends many an hour keeping it looking lovely. It is definitely a site for someone who wants to relax. The toilet and shower facilities are perfectly acceptable. Loraine and Baz, the owners, are a lovely couple and nothing is too much trouble for them, they can be regularly seen walking round the site.

We love this place.

Have stayed on this campsite three times this year, last visit august bank holiday. The owners are always friendly and helpful, very busy keeping site clean, especially the showers and toilets. Bank holiday was very busy this year - think majority of local campsites packed out. The toilets and showers were under pressure as you might expect but they were spotless and being constantly cleaned.

There was room for the children to play even with the number of people on site, when we stayed earlier in may and july- site was heavenly as it was really quiet although still a fair number of campers.

Weather wasn't brilliant so we walked across country to moors valley, we had breakfast in the local garden centre.

Would rate this site as great value for money, clean and spacious- definitely staying next year.

On reading the other write ups we booked a week here as we required a base to travel from, we intended to eat out every night so EHU etc wasn't required, but we did require a nice site which we could relax on if we fancied stopping there for the day, and with good facilities to start us fresh every morning and wash the sand off in the evenings.

So now the bad bits first, well, my idea of clean toilets must be very different from everybody elses, good job for the new garden centre up the road! Now the other bits.

The pub (The Woodcutter)mentioned by others a bit further on is now closed but the one to the right is still open. My daughter raved on about the Chicken Delite takeaway (vast amounts)in the nearby West Moors, which has all the shops for supplies.

Showers were nice and roomy but ran out of hot water once, haven't a problem with that as things like that happen, just go back later, but I did have to stoop as the spray heads are not adjustable, had to queue once but that was at the weekend, no trouble mid week.

Wet on the Monday so visited the Tower Park Splashdown centre in Poole, had a good day there finishing with a nice meal in Chiquito's. Rest of the time was spent visiting the many beaches along the coast.

It is a open site with, when we went, plenty of room for pitches around the outside and games in the middle. We were put on the entrance to the second field. Didn't really see the owners after they had took my money but initially they were helpful enough. Good base for seeing the New Forest and beaches to the south.

My group of 3 visited this campsite August 21st-23rd. It was pretty easy to find and the reception was ok. We were given a list of printed rules to follow during our stay and then shown to our pitch. It was in a good field, level and clean. It was busy and we felt quite cramped up as we had other campers very close on both sides. The surrounding area is ok, with a small kids playing area and toilets not too far away. In our section of the campsite, there were only 3 toilets. They were clean and well lit, but would benefit from being upgraded.

The showers were also pretty good, again only 3 of them so would be great to have a few more.

The gates to the campsite are locked each night at 10.30pm. This was OK for us, but a few other campers wanted to stay out later and couldn't.

The location is great if you want to spend time in the New Forest, it is only a 10min drive away.

Directly behind our tent was a bin used by everyone for food waste. This wasn't emptied until Sunday morning and was overflowing by that time. I would have liked it to be emptied once each day as a minimum.

To sum up, I think this campsite is affordable, basic and friendly.
