Weekend with a group of friends, was allowed to pitch where we wanted which was great, so pitched in a circle.
Limited number of electric hook up and field on a slope but that didn't spoil it for us.
Great meal in the pub on Friday night and bbq Saturday.
Overall a good little site for everyone. Clean toilets and showers but only 2/3.

Lovely non commercial relaxed campsite. Beautiful views. Allowed campfires and to pitch where you choose.
Only downside is if it’s busy the field is pretty much a slope so if you don’t find a spot at the top or bottom you’ll be pitching on a slant.
Two ladies toilets that were always clean, despite there being small amount of toilets and sinks available we never had to queue.

Beautiful location, 10/15 mins by car either way to Matlock town and Bakewell. Camping field very sloped but managed to get in top right corner which was flat for van but awning was uneven. Great view in that corner!
Pub was nice, ate there with friends who are vegan and menu for them very limited. Guinness was good but friend said his pint of real ale wasn’t, bit cloudy!
Friendly, helpful landlady.
Good facilities regards washing up, showers etc
Seems very popular place, especially the Sunday which was before Bank holiday and the lovely weather was an absolute bonus.

Extremely friendly campsite, felt like we were returning to somewhere we stayed before even though this was our first time.
Amazing food in the bar, great atmosphere and overall appearance and cleanliness was excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Location is perfect with circular walks around the village ranging from a mile to 6 miles.
We've booked again already!

Great place with great staff. The place is always filled with laughter and the food is to die for!
It's only a basic campsite but with the pub attached it's great.
Thinking of booking with my family in the summer as the price is so reasonable and they don't rip you off.

Friendly, good service and interesting company. And of course pints of pedigree. Situated in lovely countryside.
Cant wait for the pub itself to open. Cracking little boozer.
All it needs a a warmer micro climate !
