 Friendly staff and campsite occupants.

If you want WiFi and Phone signal this site is not for you.

Everything else is brilliant though - although it could do do with a few more level pitches!

Great little site in a great location.

Clean facilities and friendly hosts.

Had a lovely meal at the on site pub.

There's also a cute cafe there selling breakfasts etc.

This was our third time camping at the Miners Standard and it won't be out last.

It's not far from Matlock and there are some great walks nearby.

Staff are helpful and friendly and the pub is reasonably priced.

Site very clean, £1 for 2 mins for shower, quickest shower I have ever had.

Down to the weather it was very muddy.

Campsite is on a slope so you will need to keep that in mind.

No WiFi or telly in the pub.

Great little site with pub and cafe. Very friendly people.

The site slopes but not too much to cause a problem around the edges.

There is a hard standing area for large motor homes.

Basic but clean toilets and showers. Recommended.

I do like it here but it’s second time out of three trips here I’ve gone and the field has been closed for vehicles. Was told this right after payment.

The field was dry, I was the only one booked on. Pitched my tent in a crap spot so I didn’t have to cart it to my preferred spot like last time.

The next day (Friday) everyone drove on no problem and I was told I could move my car too. Maybe check first if you’re booked on for a weekday and you utilise your car for stuff you need and as shade for your dog.

Great for a couple of nights, everything you might need.

On a bit of a slope so you’ll need blocks if you want to be in the field in a van which we preferred.

 Absolutely fantastic. Easy check in

Site had everything we needed, showers, toilets, washing up basins, waster disposal.

Pub very accommodating and friendly. Food ace (gammon was huge) staff very friendly and helpful.

Village is slap bang between Matlock and Bakewell really well stocked local shop.

Highly recommended giving this place a visit.

Arrived Sunday morning and then walked the dog.

When we tried to book for food we were too late.

Winster very nice with good village shop and nice pub.

Didn’t use facilities at pub in evening as it was an awful night !

Can’t say much more as we only used the field to park for the night
