Stayed here for the may bank holiday break, on arrival we pulled into the touring waiting bay located ideally near reception to pull in and check in. You have to leave a deposit for the toilet key of £5 but I only had a £10 note the staff were very friendly and said we could pay in the morning. When we arrived at our pitch I was pleasantly surprised, I had booked a pitch with hardstanding and water and drainage, this was very level and very roomy. The only bad points we found was that there were only 2 taps to the 4 caravans, after paying a supplement for your own water and the hedges that surrounded the caravan were full of thorns and this could be slightly worrying if you have a toddler running around. But the private members club 'Skipsea Beach Club' is the star attraction to go to. The staff are great and the bingo and entertainment is fantastic, this is not part of the park but just a few minutes walk. I will return to the site as soon as I can and the staff are a credit to the resort. The only exception to this is the bar staff in the sports bar, seemed to be rude at times but you get that I suppose.

We have just returned from Easter Weekend at Skipsea Sands in our tent and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised! The touring pitch where we had out tent was great, we had a corner pitch with EHU and it was very flat and grassy with bushes separating us from the next plots and a water tap in between.
The toilet block was close by, accessed by a credit card key, which, when we had a short power cut, didn't work and we had to cross our legs until the electricity came back on! The toilets were cleaned mid morning every day but they could have done with another clean late afternoon as they stated to get grubby by then. However, there was ample toilet roll and free hot water but the showers were quite small, push button controlled and the water was very hot - too hot for my son actually who's skin looked slightly red after he had a shower!
We were quite near the playground which was massive, had pleanty of play equipment and a football pitch! My son made friends there very easily.
We ate in the bar the first night, the staff were great, bent over backwards to help and serve us but they were all quite new so who knows how long their enthusiasm will last! However, the food was terrible, we had burger and chips and it was dry and tasteless so we didn't eat in there again.
Every night in the club is bingo night followed by cheesy kids entertainment and then a variety act of some kind. It was very busy, hot and depending on what you like, tacky as hell! Again, we only spent the first night there and the rest in the tent!
There isn't really much to do locally, the beach can be accessed a short walk away due to coastal erosion washing away the cliff and Bridlington is a short drive away.
Generally, for tents and caravans, the site is lovely, clean, generous sized pitches and flat but the rest of the site was not to my taste. But well done Park Resorts for the staff training as they all seemed to work their socks off!

I visited this site with my small family over the Halloween period from Friday to Monday.
The site was fantastic and ideal for families, the site had special entertainment on for the Halloween period in the form of a fancy dress ball on the Saturday Evening in the main hall.
The site has a small bowling alley, great swimming pool, roller disco hall and kids club.
There is also evening entertainment on at the complex each night. This has plenty seating.
The Static caravan was of excellent condition and of good decor and comfortable - no damp.
We also were in a short walking distance to the coast which too was peaceful and great for the kids, there is a fish and chip shop outside the front gates.
On site you can also hire bikes and go carts, there is also laundry, hairdressers and amusements as well as a small shop providing essentials for your stay.
I would most definitely be visiting this site again but would like to compare it when there is no special events happening i.E a normal weekend. The price was also very reasonable.

Skipsea Sands is a fantastic family campsite. The touring pitches are all a good size and the shower block is well maintained. The touring pitches are separate to the rest of the park with a barrier for extra security. The children have loads to do with two play areas, an amusement arcade with a large play gym and a fantastic sports centre that has a swimming pool, cafe and ten pin bowling.
We found that we spent most of our day running between all the kids club activities!
We will definitely return.

Stayed here for a week including the bank holiday weekend and where do I start.
Arrived Friday afternoon to find reserved tent pitch flooded with water looked more like the duck pond. Aware of the weather yet when asked at reception what plans were in place for this eventuality we were told 'well what can we do about it? its been raining!' We suggested a phone call we would have appreciated after travelling for three hours to find the plots were totally unusable. We had paid for electric hook up but this was dangerous due to the amount of water. We asked to be moved to a different pitch and were again told this was not an option as they were full.
We then spoke to the park warden who agreed pitches were unusable to due to the amount of water he then suggested we move to a patch of grass between the tourers which we accepted although this was also sodden but at least it resembled a pitch. The rest of the poor people who arrived after us were pitched on the kids play park and any available patch of land or even roadside. The word greed comes to mind, they had accepted far too many bookings with no where to put anyone which spoilt the site not just for us poor souls in tents but people who were used to peace and quiet around their caravans and tourers were subjected to hoards of tents surrounding them.
Too many people and too few toilet blocks does not justify the £29 per night charged.

We have just come back from skipsea it was fantastic. The pitches were flat, grassy some hard standing very large and in good condition. The site was clean and the staff very helpful, never had a problem getting a shower, the clubhouse was good with a pint of larger £1. 99 cordials 30p not bad for a big company. We had such a good time we tried to book a extra night but site was full the next day. 10 out of 10

Visited this site as it was not to far from home and its the first time camping for us.
The staff where very friendly, toilet and shower blocks clean.
Dint use the club house as the weather we had was excelant so the kids spent most time on the play park, but their is entertainment on.
Will be going back as we only spent a 2 night break thier.
Well done park resorts

We did'nt use the entertainment facilities so cannot comment on those. The site itself was 1st Class, each pitch segregated by bushes, excellent sized pitches. We were on a hard standing right by the side of a small lake/large pond with loads of ducks. Toilets were clean, light and spacious, 2 blocks on site. Best dog walk we have ever seen, walk goes around the perimeter of the site, full marks for this. Staff in reception and shop were very pleasant, helpful and everyone one of them, smiled. What a welcome change! The beach cannot be accessed via the site although if you stroll up the lane by the sea , it can be accessed a lot further up. It is very sad to see the cliffs, road and pathways eroding along this part of the coast, take care, especially walking along the edges, they are liable to subside. Still spent a very pleasant few days on this site, lovely and peceful in the week, we arrived on a Monday and it was so quiet. Soon filled up at weekend though. Multitude of rabbits running around the site. Shop on site sells literally everything at reasonable prices too for a site shop.

Just returned for the first time since the takeover by Park resorts.
They are slowly moving over to the 'All sites will be ran the same' image ,which takes away the individuality of the site. Upon arrival we received the standard information pack, as per Park resorts, advertising their range of static caravans. The first change we noticed was the removal of the double bikes that kids love at holiday sites, apparently this is a company policy.
The pitch sizes haven't changed 'yet', they are still the best pitch sizes I have come across and have maintained the hedges.
Swimming is now inclusive of the price of the pitch. The downside of this is there are now only a few hours a day on some days where the kids can use the pool. On most days there is a £5 per person charge after 4pm under the guise of , surf rescue sessions.
The bar areas are the same but the kids activity room was being converted into a costa coffee lounge, how very corporate. Although the larger is £2.45 a pint they claw the profits back in other drinks like J2O fruit juice at £1.95 a bottle and Magners at £4.07 a bottle, no that's not a misprint.
You must now produce your passes to enter the complex area, which is not a bad thing, except one evening on our way off site I happened to walk over to the window of the bar to see what entertainment was on , and was met halfway by the rudest security person I have ever encountered. He asked for my pass , even though I was nowhere near the door, and told me in no uncertain terms to go away if I didn't have a pass. This was a regular happening, we found out after speaking to other guests.
All in all I will come back again this season but from what I can gather from some staff and residents , next season will herald the full Park resorts makeover

This was our first camping trip so wasnt sure what to expect the kids were really looking forward to it and we werent disappointed, check in was straight forward and the tourer section was separate from the static with a key operate gate, all pitches were separated by small hedges between them which was nice and our pitch backed on to the play ground which was great for the kids.
Pitch included electric at no extra cost, the toilet block was also key operated and was ok, showers not the greatest but adequate only three cubicles but never full, said on the park resort site that there were electric points in the loos but no sign in the ladies.
There was some disturbance on the Friday eve about 11pm some drunk teenagers decided to mess about round the play ground, complained the next day and said there had been a few complaints and would have extra security on the following night, never heard any noise the following night.
The only complaint was that we booked through park resorts and were told that would have to vacate our pitch by 10am on the Sunday, which I thought was far too early so we booked for an extra night which was another £18.00 when we were departing my husband was advised that he could have booked a late checkout at the reception for £3.00 (too late now) told us next time to ring the site direct and book through them and would accommodate any special requests.
Overall very good
