We have just returned from an Easter weekend break at this camp site which is very well organised, extremely neat and tidy whose staff are extremely polite and willing to help, it has a well laid out park for children. The bins, chemical waste and fresh water are all near to the camping fields
The walk to the beach is about 10 minutes down hill along a private path through woods - you must remember your key fob to open the gate, you also need the key fob to operate the shower and to raise the barrier to enter and exit the site,
Toilets and showers very clean as you would expect from a high quality site
The down sides are the owners could perhaps update the directions a little as they seemed to be out of date to us and perhaps the reception could be manned instead of using a phone to enter the site and again to be sited on your pitch.
Please be aware the pitches are all on a slope its not a site for people with walking difficulties. I have not rated for children as we don't have any but do have 2 dogs who seemed to enjoy their holiday

We recently stayed one night at this site and found it disappointing. We had booked by phone expecting the facilities of bar with food, a shop and wifi all to be available as advertised.
For the cost of £25 per night and extra for an awning we were very let down that these services are closed until Friday evening. There was no reduction in fee to reflect this. We felt like we were staying in a ghost site with lots and lots of empty caravans and all services closed.
We had difficulty getting in to the site as the phones and intercoms are not answered, we met others having similar difficulties.
The views were good however as mentioned in an earlier review the pitches sloped. At a previous site we were offered ramps and help as to how best manage this.
At this site we were greeted after hanging around for quite sometime by a man who drove up in a car to welcome us and filled out all paperwork without stepping out of his car.
Promising a pub (as the on site bar was closed) 300 meters away, which was actually much further and a that the shop would be open the following day (turned out to be the evening of the following day when he knew we would be gone)
Sadly a poor experience.

Excellent site with great staff especially the 2 men who run around the site cleaning all day and showing you to your pitch. Pitch's are very big and the site can be set up informal if there is a group of around 4 units. Not allowed at some sites.
Fantastic views from most pitches looking down to the sea but that does mean most pitches slope some more than others. Site sheltered from winds in most places due to high hedges this makes it feel less busy too. We heard some complaints that it was more expensive than others in the area but with free showers it does make a difference (we have spent up to 3 a day on some sites for 3 of us). Toilets and showers spotless at all times and is a credit to the guys who take a pride in keeping the facilities to a high standard that other sites don't match. The play area, shop and bar where all great assets and prices were reasonable a great place to meet others especially when it rained in evening and the telly was on in the games room! Great location for touring all of Angelsey, Wales and even a day trip to Ireland. We will definitely be back and can see why lots of people love this gem of a site, we now do! THANKS Tyddyn Isaf

The campsite caters mainly for caravans with one main field for tents. Our group of 3 tents was placed in another field of mainly caravans. This gave us a lovely secluded spot.
We were welcomed to the site by the owner who was very friendly and helpful. By far the best asset to the site was the enormous play area which our children spent hours on - not just the equipment but running and rolling down the hills. There was plenty of room for any number of children to play without being crowded.
The shower and toilet block was modern and clean and didn't seem crowded at any time. Washing up facilities were again clean. We did explore the path to the beach but found it a little bit of a trek when laden down with children, picnics, towels, beach toys etc.
Parts of the beach are also very muddy so it is worth exploring the beaches along this stretch to find the best one. There is a little shop on site which sells basic groceries, sweets and buckets and spades. On our arrival we were informed that the on site pub had a special offer on food on Tuesdays. We did take advantage of this and found the food to be delicious. However I think if the offer had not been on the food would have been considered a little expensive. More play equipment at the bar would also be welcome.
On the whole this is a beautiful, clean, safe site and I would definitely visit again.

We spent 3 nights at Tyddyn Isaf in August 2011. It has to be said that the site facilities are top notch, though I think this is reflected in the price.
The views over Lligwy Bay and beyond are superb and access to the beach is a 10 minute walk from the campsite.
The shower and toilet facilities are excellent, though the main (large) toilet/shower block is a bit of a walk from the camping fields and is strangely situated near to the mobile homes. The nearest toilet/shower block (1 shower + 2 toilets) is situated between 2 camping fields, so as you can imagine, there were regular queues at peak times!
The biggest downside was that the camping field and our pitch in particular was on quite a slope and unfortunately, this spoiled our camping experience somewhat. We noticed that the flatter pitches were the ones with electric hookups. Just something to be aware of!

Wonderful sea views, very secure, clean & tidy.
A nice welcome, helpful staff, friendly atmosphere.
Lots of space for children to run about, and yet nice and peaceful.
Short walk to the beach. Recommend a latte coffee in the on site bar (with complimentary homemade brownies!). We booked last minute and consequently our pitch was on a slant which was hard work with 2 children (one of which had only been walking a few months!) - would request a flatter pitch on our next visit.
An enjoyable first camping trip to Anglesey!

Lovely location with private access to Lligwy Beach.
Tent pitches are on sloping fields but with huge pitch sizes and assistance from the owners to choose a suitable spot this isn't an issue.
Facilities all clean and well maintained (how many other sites do you know where the owner would change a broken toilet seat at 10. 30pm on a Saturday night?).
Fantastic huge field for children to play although ball games would be a challenge due to the steep slope! All tent areas (there are three) had so much space that games can also be played in the field without disturbing fellow campers.
The slopes also give you a good workout when going up / down to the showers and toilets so not so good if you have any mobility problems.
Improvements? minor niggles really. Extra facilities at the middle tent field; recycling bins at all rubbish points (does Wales not offer plastics recycling?).
We would definitely visit again and recommend it - book early to avoid disappointment

What a lovely site, very clean and well kept, each field was surrounded by hedges, the fields were sloping. We found the staff friendly & helpful, eager to make any necessary improvements.
Toilet & shower facilities excellent, with music to keep you company. Large area for children to play. Fantastic location, easy walk to beach and coastal path.
The view from the Bar terrace was superb, just the job for relaxing with a glass of something refreshing in the evening. We had a lovely 4 night stay here with fantastic weather, we'll be back!
A word of warning, Taxi's on Anglesey are expensive! We made the error of getting a taxi, next time we'll walk up the lane to the bus stop.

Outstanding site - very clean and friendly with incredible sea views but sheltered pitches. We stayed 2 nights and found the facilities more than adequate, the toilet and shower blocks are very good and kept clean all day despite the large volume of people using them.
Our 2 youngsters spent all day on the play area and loved the lighthouse slide. Obviously a popular site judging by the number of visitors but come 11pm it was very quiet and there were no issues with noise apart from seagulls !
The on site pub is worth a visit but 10 minutes walk up the quiet lane leads you to the 'Pilot' pub with a double decker bus play area to keep the kids happy as well as a large outdoor play park.
Will definitely visit again.

What a fabulous site! Stunning views as you drive in absolutely breathtaking, owners very helpful. Lovely food in the bar/restaurant and fairly priced, lovely decking outside the pub to take in the amazing views with a glass of wine.
A little shop for essentials and sweets for the children to buy! The site is extremely secure and I felt happy to let my children play on the huge play area which has some old equipment on and could do with a little updating, but saying that - the children had hours of fun on the helter skelter slide. Somethings never grow old!
The beach is about a five minute lovely walk down a private path and is a good beach where dogs are allowed. Unfortunately my husband didn't catch any mackerel of the rocks but had fun trying. There are a lot of seasonal tourers which have the pitches with the best views but this is truly the only tiny downside!
If you get chance visit Moelfre and take in a meal at Ann's Pantry the food was superb and eaten in a setting that makes you feel like you have been whisked abroad! The shower blocks were lovely and clean but did require a steep hike back up the hill.
It is worth noting that the site is quite sloping so make sure you take some blocks with you if in a caravan. Even though the site is quite large is has the feel of a small site due to the well kept hedges separating the fields.
We all had a wonderful weekend and will definitely be returning.
