Our very first camping trip spent here for a long weekend. Showers were forecast and there had been heavy rain for three days before we arrived. We had booked a pitch on the EHU field and were offered a choice of two fairly muddy pitches although given the amount of rain, were not as bad as we might have expected.
The toilet/shower facilities were excellent and the staff did an amazing job cleaning them at least 3-4 times a day due to all the mud being walked in there. The washing up facilities were also good and there are freezers for your ice packs. There was plenty of information provided about the local area and pubs/restaurants and we had a lovely meal at the Red Hart, one of the campsite recommended pubs.
The field was well-drained because it started to dry out on Sunday when the sun came out but sadly not for long enough to dry up all the mud! Despite the weather we weren't put off but the mud was the worst part; that and packing the tent away in the rain. No gripes about the site though, just a pity about the weather. We will definitely return to the area because the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley were really pretty and we didn't see it at its best.

This was our second stay at Greenway Farm and it won't be our last.
Even though we were there during Whit week and had torrential rain & winds the lower field in which we camped was well drained.
As usual the showers and toilets were immaculate & lovely and warm.
Due to the rain we had a couple of meals in the cafe which were lovely.
The children loved riding their bikes round the large space in the middle of the field & just up the road there is a play park and lovely walks.
All the staff are friendly and helpful & we can't wait for our next stay.

This is a lovely, quiet campsite that is well kept and ideal as a base for visiting the Forest of Dean, with plenty of days out only a few minutes drive.
The toilets and shower blocks are kept very clean with plenty of hot water, and the washing up facilities are also very well kept.
The owners were welcoming, friendly and helpful.
When we return to the Forest of Dean, we will definitely be staying at this campsite again.

Visited this lovely site in June during some of the worst summer weather for 100 years! This did not spoil our holiday at all because the site made up for all the inconvenience of the downpours and gale force winds. The site is very well kept, toilets always clean and tidy and the owners/managers very helpful and friendly during our stay.
The site is set over 3 fields, I think we had the best position on the lower field in the corner looking over the whole site. There is also a cafe on site which we did not use so cannot comment about that, but there were always people in there. We walked our dogs off site, there is no dog walk as such but you are only a few steps away from the woods where the dogs can run free!
The only very small 'criticism' is the number of water taps, we found it was a bit of a hike to the nearest one (especially in the rain!) and maybe another one or 2 could be installed in each corner perhaps (this is just an observation really). So for me 9. 5 out of 10 and we are definitely planning a return trip in better conditions.

Just returned from a lovely stay at this campsite. From the time we arrived nothing was too much trouble from the owners and staff, all were very friendly as well.
We were in the main field with EHU, which was well laid out. The cafe did some lovely food. The toilets and showers were warm and excellantly clean.
The washing up room was good as well with freezers for ice blocks. Didn't use the laundry.
Will certainly be using this site again for a weekend or even a few days midweek.

A super campsite with so many good features I don't know where to start. Clean and tidy washing up area with freezers for cold blocks.
The showers (in the ladies) were the best designed showers I've seen in a campsite, with plenty of hooks, and a chair - fantastic!
The cafe on site was brill for a great value and quality breakfast and the staff were all friendly.
Friends stayed in the ark which looked brilliant as an alternative for those who don't want to camp and the Heritage Centre nearby had a fab Gruffalo Trail.

Very nice site. Well run with helpful and friendly staff. We had an EHU pitch in the larger field. It was fairly flat with a slight right to left slope (nothing a few strategically placed wedges couldn't cope with though)
The on site Cafe/bakery is a real gem serving proper food at reasonable prices. We even managed to buy a freshly baked loaf on a Sunday morning!
Washing facilities are good. Mrs Bert thought them excellent. I found the two hooks and no shower curtain in the Gent's showers a bit of a challenge at first but a 'Sainsbury's' orange plastic shopping bag came to the rescue keeping everything dry.
Also there was a faint 'septic tank' type smell in the vicinity of the washrooms from time to time.
Overall a well run and tidy site. One we would definitely consider returning to.

Absolutely fab camp site, cannot fault it. It was very clean and tidy with very helpful friendly staff.
Toilets and showers nice and warm, washing machine £5 deposit for the key and good washing up facilities with 2 upright freezers for your ice packs (free freeze).
Lots of walks from the site, sadly with an elderly dog we couldn't really take advantage of our surroundings.
Weather was rubbish but we still had a good time, 3 sunny days out of 8, gale force winds more rain than we have ever encountered on a camping trip before, but then so did everywhere else. No sign of waterlogged pitches.
We were in the big field on the right as you enter the site with loads of room with our pitch.
Definitely be returning.

Absolutely fantastic site wished we lived closer so we could visit every weekend.
We have been here twice and stayed in the Glamping ark its the best we love it.
All your needs as in comfortable place to sleep, items and utensils are well catered for and its warm so great in the cold months.
Showers and toilets on site are the best we have come across and there still making improvements
Washing up hut perfect
The cafe on site is brilliant, good prices and portion sizes and you can taker your own wine / beer to have with your dinner.
Wardens are brilliant and there is a wealth of information to local areas available.
I can highly recommend puzzlewood its amazing
No play park for kids

This site was fantastic. I have just got back from a four night trip and could not find fault with the site. The facilities were immaculate. This weekend the site was full but I only had to wait a couple of minutes for a shower. The camping area was like a bowling lawn and there was no rubbish left anywhere. I had a great break, the local area is lovely and the Brecon Beacons is only 40 miles away. I will be going back again. Staff were very pleasant and although there were plenty of children on the site, they were well behaved and having great fun.
Only minor niggle was that the timer on the showers could be slightly longer.
