A great friendly site and the owner Dave was always available for any questions that you may have.
The onside restaurant is a great asset to this campsite and we ate there on our last night.
We found a lovely forest walk nearby to take our dog and our daughter enjoyed visiting the onside goats and donkey.

This is an absolute jewel of a campsite.
Dave the owner was amazing, helpful and friendly. We were being joined by family members for a couple of days during our 10 day visit and he ensured that we were pitched close by.
Each pitch has electric hook up and the spacing is amazing. We had room for a four man tent and awning plus our estate car.
There is a restaurant on site (not run by the campsite) which does really nice food. There is also a fish and chip shop and convenience shop in the village close by.
There are also farm animals in a paddock (Donald the Donkey and I got really friendly by the end of our trip) You can also walk out the gate turn right and within a few minutes your right in the forest.
This was an excellent base for exploring the Forest of Dean, Bath, Worcester, The Cotswolds, Monmouthshire and the rest of the surrounding area.
It was busy at the weekends but it’s an ideal location for Families, Couples young and old.

Really nice site. Very well laid out with excellent facilities.
The showers and toilets are individual, very large and very well heated.
We were there over New years so the cafe wasn't open but it looks to be really nice.
Great location with lots to do around it and the local village has all the shops and pubs you'd need.
The owner was extremely helpful when we got there.
Free Wi-Fi good but intermittent

Stone on hard standing a bit to larger making it harsh underfoot but grassed areas in excellent condition

First class ! Lovely site nice pitches, plenty of clean toilets and showers, cafe/restaurant a nice touch, very popular for breakfasts and Sunday carvery.
Well placed to visit the Forest for Dean and towns surrounding, and for dog owners literally, a 5 minute walk to a lovely track into part of the forest.
Correspondence from Nathan with booking details and site information was nice and friendly
Overall lovely site and will hopefully return

Good Access and Friendly staff. Clean showers and toilet facilities.
The restaurant on site was a bonus and our steak was really tender.
The TV signal was good and good telephone signal.
We have been there before and would go back again.

Facilities were clean and plenty of showers and toilets. Loved the steak house on site. Visited the sculpture trail nearby and Ross on Wye.
The break didn’t start too well. We were travelling with friends, and had emailed at the time of booking to ask to be sited together. We received a reply saying they had made sure we were located together so packed accordingly as we were planning to cook together.
On arrival we found we couldn’t have been sited further apart from each other, and the staff on reception were unable to move either of our pitches. When I mentioned we’d been told we would be sited together, the response was “oh yes, this happens a lot”.

Lovely flat pitch. Nice walks around the area. Wayne extremely helpful & friendly.
Lots of money being put into the site.
Only recommendation would be for toilet & washing facilities to be put in bottom field.
Certainly hasn’t put us off going again though. Lovely site

2nd visit to this site and still as good as the first. Will be going again next year.
Dont think I mentioned on last review about Ted and Tess, the resident goats. My daughter loves saying hello to this friendly pair and feeding them chopped apples. ;)

This is a lovely site with fantastic modern and clean facilities. The facilities were purpose built so before covid they were lovely and warm and dry. AT the moment they have left the doors open for good reason so it might be a bit bracing in the winter. Washing up area is well supplied with hot water and enough sinks for 6 people. There is a laundry available.
We have camped here and stayed in the glamping shelter. The "couples" ark comes with a bed and enough facilities to make it a luxury camping experience. My only criticism of the glamping is that the wifi did not make it into the ark. If like me you need wifi, then call to make sure you get one with coverage.
Cooking facilities were fine, although to be honest, we decided that when the cafe on site is soo good, why would you cook? Breakfast excellent and Sunday Roast even better, popular with the locals too so ask about it and book when you arrive.
Ideally located if you want to go and see the Severn Bore at Minsterworth or Newnham.
